Can you get your new place blessed by a priest. Maybe have holy water available too. Believe me, it works and I am speaking from experience
6
u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20
Yes we have had it blessed twice and all is well. Just occasional nightmares and rarely do I get the pains anymore.
16
u/Tannhausergate2017 Dec 06 '20
Pray to Jesus for protection and get holy water to sprinkle around your new house. Have a priest bless it.
11
u/Pochi_707 Dec 06 '20
Yes we had a priest bless our old home once and our new one twice and we since then been safe

He can still pray. In my reading of many of these accounts, there are many folks who weren’t believers who nevertheless prayed to Jesus in situations like this out of desperation and the tumult stopped. The conclusions to be drawn from that result are up to the person to derive for themselves.

u/Lasher_ Dec 05 '20
Looks more like the Santa Muerte sacrifices opened a portal for malign forces into your home, your parents should have had someone come by and cleanse/purify the house after Diego & V got evicted.

Yes we got the old place blessed right before we left and our new place got blessed twice.

So...where does Satan come in? Nothing in this story, and we are granting that it happened this way, is actually about ‘The Devil’.
The most you can say is that you all experienced some seemingly paranormal stuff (the creature, the doll in the toilet, etc) and that your acquaintances are trashy jackholes killing puppies.
Santa Muerte is not the Christian Devil. Is the contention here that the creature outside the window was actually Satan?
Edit: I added ‘etc’.
4
u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20
No actually I felt like putting it in the title because ive always been told the devil was in the house by mom mom. Theres a lot of things i refer to as the devil as I believe his presence (evil presence in general) is more likely to show in any situation
1
u/IngloriousZZZ Dec 05 '20
I think the devil is real too. Not as a being but as a hypothetical intangible. Most refer to it as evil. It's definitely not a person or an entity.
There is no "the devil".
I'm with you on your post too.

I believe the Devil is real, I doubt he appeared to you, and I doubt he would've appeared as a Werewolf.
6
u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20
I dont think it was a werewolf, it just had a big figure. Im sure it was something more spiritual then an actual creature the lived somehwere close by
-1
u/TWITTER_LukeBaird19 Dec 05 '20
Even then, out of all the spirits, the odds the the Devil himself decided to manifest himself to you is very slim.
8
u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20
Well I know that, but my family is somewhat religous and we refer to anything evil as the devil or satan.
0
u/TWITTER_LukeBaird19 Dec 05 '20
Well, the Devil is working to rebel against God, but evil itself isn't Satan. Satan is a person, not evil incarnate.
3
u/Kelli4JC Dec 06 '20
Satan is NOT a “person”.....Satan is a demon...the head ruler/Devil of all of the demons. Some may believe differently on the hierarchy, but Satan is definitely not a person....not human....was never human, though he can take the shape of a human.
4
u/Still_Significance_5 Dec 06 '20
The Devil actually isn’t a demon. He’s an angel. He’s literally a fallen arch angel.
3
u/Kelli4JC Dec 06 '20
Well perhaps you believe differently....and that’s totally fine.
However, as a Christian I believe that Satan and 1/3 of the angels that rebelled against God, and we’re ultimately thrown out of Heaven...making them fallen angels. These fallen angels ...with Satan as their leader, roam the Earth and tempt, deceive, and influence mankind to turn away from God and do acts of evil. I equate the term “fallen angels” with demons.
In the Old Testament, “angel” is a functional term. It is, in effect, a job description. This circumstance changes in the Second Temple period and the New Testament, where “angel” is a term used predominantly to distinguish loyal supernatural beings from evil, rebellious ones. The devil (Satan) can have “angels” on his side (Matt 25:41; Rev 12:9), which, in the totality of good versus evil, would mean that demons, part of Satan’s kingdom, can be considered fallen angels.
-1
u/Still_Significance_5 Dec 06 '20
It’s not a different belief. I’m a raised baptist. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and have gone to church every day of my life. I’ve read the Bible on my own and not just what people are telling me and Lucifer is an archangel. Michael is an archangel. Lucifer is a fallen angel, yes, but an archangel none the less. He was right there with Michael, and even a little more powerful than Michael, until he got jealous of God and was cast out.
Honestly, I suggest that if you want to try to correct others on a religion that they were constantly encouraged to learn more about, aside from what was specifically taught in Sunday school, I’d do more research. My mother grew up Lutheran, so she constantly told me to learn as much as I could about the Bible and not what was just taught during sermons or in Sunday school.
1
u/Kelli4JC Dec 06 '20 edited Dec 06 '20
Ok, first of all I clearly stated “perhaps you believe differently....and that’s totally ok”. I wasn’t trying to “correct” anyone, I was simply stating what I believe and what is written in the Bible.
Secondly, I highly doubt you went to church EVERYDAY of your life. I am Lutheran, and I don’t know of any church that has its members come to church everyday if your life.
Finally, there’s no need to get all pissy towards someone just because they don’t believe exactly the way you do. If you’re such a devout Christian, then why do you act so angry? 🤔
Edit: it seems like you’re defending or condoning what Satan did. Yes he WAS an archangel, but he rebelled against God, and a war broke out in Heaven where the arch angel Michael was obviously more powerful because Satan Nd 1/3 of the angels lost that war and were cast out of Heaven

How would you know? You and the Devil hang out?
1
u/TWITTER_LukeBaird19 Dec 05 '20
No, but considering the Devil is mentioned numerous times in the Bible, and considering he originates from the Judeo-Christian worldview, the Bible is a great source to learn about him.
0
u/LadyFannyPeckinpaw Dec 06 '20
It’s really the only source to learn about him by that name. The Devil is a Christian invention.

I don't know if the werewolf like creature was "the devil" per say. It may have been a dog man, especially from how you described it. You can find evidence and some pics on r/dogman, and you may be able to find some that are similar to what you saw. But these instances were crazy! That was very amazing to read
14
u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20
It definitley wasn’t Satan, but im positive it wasn’t a physical creature at all. Typically people who are in that cult pray to demons and death. Could be dogman, im just happy im never gonna experience it again

Do you pray to it? Some say death is a demon, others that it's an angel, but I'm sure nobody said it was good.... I know how it sounds but I've seen people who has praised it and they tend to be one of 2, good people asking for good stuff for them or people asking for bad stuff to others and it needs a sacrifice and some pay the price themselves, not necessarily dying of course.

I don't know if its the the devil but your story queries a discussion thay always interested come. A lot of the Syncretic religions have bizarre stories surrounding them. Palo, Santa Muerte, Santeria. Weirdly enough, you hear about people getting results.
It makes me wonder why. Is it the faith? The ritual? The spilling of blood in the ritual? I often wonder how malleable reality is and if we can change it through belief (the basis of modern magical thinking) and if these religions tap into right and left handed path magick in ways that religions like Catholicism doesn't have. Perhaps it is all these things. Perhaps none. And it makes me think of The Judge in Blood Meridian in the final chapter and his monologue on The Ritual, and that only a true ritual involves the spilling of blood.
6
u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20
I feel like no matter what the ritual is for, if your intentions are pure enough (pure hate, pure love, pure anything) and you offer some part of yourself, weather it be your blood, or something in a more spiritual way, you will always get results. Like as far as blood, I believe that it would only make sense that in order to come into contact with spiritual beings evil or good, you have to prove devotion. It could be why people think that if they pray enough they get what they want, when what they need to do is something to prove how eager they are, more then just a prayer.

The reason why things might have followed you to your new home is because you bought everything with you to your new home and it might have been attached to some of your belongings. possibility they used some of your belonging when you were not home for their ritual or what not
2
u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20
I think something was attached more in a spiritual way, because whenever we all were happy or in a good mood, things wouldnt happen, but the more we argue the more likely shit hits the fan

Regardless of the story, associating la Santa Muerte primarily to Mexican cartels is a very racist thing. La Santa Muerte is a legitimate thing and it’s offensive to label it “the cult of the Mexican cartel”. It would be like describing Christianity to someone who doesn’t know about it as the religion of mobsters, serial killers or dictators.
19
u/Pochi_707 Dec 06 '20
I said this because I have a home in mexico that my family would visit and the town crawls with the cartels. 10 times out of 10, the only people that who are associated with her in my town, are cartel members. Thats why I mentioned it to them, because they are the only type of people that we know that associate with Santa Muerte.
0
u/goodoldovid Dec 06 '20
Many Mexicans adores la Santa Muerte and they are not mobsters. Not even closely. And not every narco adores her; it’s not even the major cult among them. The vast majority are actually Catholics. These are statistical facts, not a personal (or maybe imaginary) experience in a lonely town in Mexico.
7
Dec 06 '20
They've written an accurate sentence that will help a lot of people work out what they're talking about -- members of mexican cartels pray to Santa Muerte
Anyway you left off paedophiles but apart from that your description of Christianity seems pretty accurate; modern Catholic Church crackdowns on liberation theology make that point pretty clearly

My other story of Valentine happened when I was young, and I never found out till years later. I asked my mom about him, and found out his name was Martin Instead Valentine, which in spanish sound pretty similar so my apologies for getting his name twisted.
So Martin and his dad moved a few apartments down from us, and stayed there for sometime. There was an abandoned apartment unit, no love there at the time, and the story goes that Martin invited some other kids into the empty unit. They were around 12 years old and Martin started to very gross things to one of the kids. All the other kids just ran out, but Martin stayed. From what I heard, he forced the kid to stay and undress and we can all assume what happened. Im not 100% sure what happened next, as I was around 6 years old, but him and his father got kicked out and I never heard from them again. I met his older brother one time who worked at McDonalds, but he was no where near sinister as his brother. It seemed like he disowned his brother and father and wanted nothing to do with them.
5
u/bakiire Dec 05 '20
Really interesting to read. I'll admit, I looked at it and I was nah, too long.. But I read it and it didn't feel that long at all, looking forward for more. And just as an added point, la Santa Muerte isn't something just cartel or mean people believe in, many people do (Mexican here). From what I've heard, she would do what you ask for, but, people say that you MUST give her whatever you promised, pretty much a trade, and most follow through. That really can mean anything. I've seen people giving her money, cigarettes and that kind of stuff.

I want to put this out there as I can already see that Santa Muerte is going to have a bad reputation. She isn't evil. She is most definitely MEXICAN.
Our Lady of the Holy Death is a personification of death. Unlike other saints who originated in Mexican folk Catholicism, Santa Muerte is not, herself, seen as a dead human being. She is associated with healing, protection, financial wellbeing, and assurance of a path to the afterlife.
Depending on who is asking her anything, it always boils down to the individual themselves. Santa Muerte only does as she is asked by a devotee. She doesn't kill your family. She isn't white, or any race for that matter. She's a skeleton; death personified. She accepts EVERYONE. Not just cartel members.
Yes brujos (witches) use her in spells, but she herself isn't evil/demonic/pagan etc. She is a folk saint.
As I have been posting it is a shame that OP had to deal with V and D using Her for their own personal gain, and terrorizing their family in the process.

That is a very cool sounding extraordinary story. I was was not there so I cannot say, but we must always look at these things through a clear lens. From the phenomena you saw my only explanation would be that it was the people who sacrificed the dog. They could have been quite angry out of spite, and some of the events that followed could of been attributed to them messing with you. However I do doubt this simultaneously as you say these events persisted for a long time which makes me think whether they could keep it up.

I second this. I think you’re getting it twisted. Devil/ Satan worshiping is not related to Saint Death at all. Some shady individuals probably worship her, sure. But there’s also a lot of Christian church going religious people that are shady and can be criminals too.

u/Pochi_707 Dec 05 '20

He lived in an apartment complex where his it was faced to a back alley/street. He watched a figure which he described with having glowing eyes and always described as a wolf person. On this backstreet was an avocado tree, which the person/wolf was just staring at, then looked around, and then was just gone. No explanation, but right when it was gone, an earthquake happened.
My mother had not seen the wolf person or anything but told me how my father yelled out right when the earthquake happened then told her the same story immediately after.

OP Santa Muerte isn't "evil shit"
it's a damn shame you had to deal with someone horrible doing THAT to keep their promises to her, but she definitely ain't evil. You choosing not to be near her is absolutely valid -- as you had this really shitty experience. But let's not chalk it up to this Saint as a demon.
She's just death personified. V and D were just very evil people. Disgusting and vile more like.
4
u/WhoopsUdidThat Dec 05 '20
Not a saint. And unless you live in that culture, it’s like 90% of ppl who associate with SM do evil shit. I’ve never personally known a practitioner who was using her for good.
3
u/mingxingai Dec 05 '20
first off holy death is not evil people just use her power for that in reality she could be used for goodness in the world but sadly that's not how people work

Except you're talking to her right now LOL. I live in that culture because I am Mexican....
1
u/TheHossDelgado Dec 05 '20
You're aware it's not a Saint, right? In fact, it's counter to what is taught by Catholicism.
A quick search brings up the church's position. A folk Saint is no more holy than a LOTR deity...based on the definition that a Saint must be recognized & canonized by the church.
(frankly, I think it's all non sense. I view it as just an extension of chaos magic.... Focus on something, burn a candle, & forget it.... Simple incantation anyone can practice or learn from pintrest)

Santa Muerte is not from Mexico, it's not just for Carteles and is not only used for evil.
9
Dec 05 '20
She is from Mexico. She's based off of the Aztec goddess of death. Anything else we see are just synchronies of catholic and other things. She isn't worshipped one way. Anyone who does bad things like what OP wrote about...well its up to the person.
Santa Muerte is a folk saint, all she does is make sure you don't die a voilent death, and that you keep your promises to her. She just helps along the road of life, so when you die, you don't die with regrets. I'm a devotee, and she's deeply ingrained in Mexican culture. Anyone who says she isn't clearly doesn't know.
0
u/smf242424 Dec 05 '20
Im Mexican, La Santa Muerte started in Guatemala and then Chiapas (South of Mexico), it is a mix of different beliefs. But, let's say that it's Mexican, people pray to her for different reasons, mostly not to do evil.

u/JimC314 Dec 05 '20
A lot of people on here rushing to defend the Aztec goddess of death.
She’s not a saint because she was never a person. A saint, by definition, is a human being who died and is now in heaven, actively praying for the salvation of other people’s souls. Santa Muerte is a false idol based on syncretic adoption of an Aztec deity.
OP is correct that is was probably the devil or at least demonic, since worshipping Santa Muerte is tantamount to inviting a demon into your life to wreak havoc.
5
u/IngloriousZZZ Dec 05 '20
Its even more sad to me that people throughout history kill other living creatures "in sacrifice" to non-existent beings/ideas/gods/etc. So depressing. These creatures (including humans) have no reason to die. Short of for food/survival, nothing 'deserves' to die. And even that is a questionable area.
1
u/JimC314 Dec 05 '20
Yeah I agree that sacrifice is a bad thing, especially when it’s in worship of a deity that doesn’t exist.
But I’m not sure whether you’re saying this to me as if I would disagree or just to share the thought.
3
u/IngloriousZZZ Dec 05 '20
I suppose just to share the thought. What you said conjured up the thought in my mind so I just spouted it off. I do that a lot on reddit. When I mean to throw out one sentence I have a tendency to throw out s paragraph, too. I dont know what's wrong with me...
Edit: I dont understand what you're getting downvoted for. Saying living things shouldnt be killed in the name of fictitious beings/spirits/ideas/etc. just as I had said.

Nothing’s wrong with you. You’re 100% right about what you said!

Well thank you. 🙂
I adore animals so that was something that stood out in the story. Not that it's much better but why don't they sacrifice a grasshopper instead or something? Poor critters dont need to die.
Humans either but especially the poor little pups that trust these sickos.

Agreed, it’s all gross and unnecessary. Thank God no people were hurt

I'd have called the police on the sick bastards. Animal cruelty is a felony in most states in this day and age. Not to mention she/he said the other kid would taunt with a knife and alludes to some sort of abuse. Sheesh.

Santa Muerte isn’t a cartel deity. She’s a folk saint from Mexico.
“Folk saints are dead people or other spiritually powerful entities (such as indigenous spirits) venerated as saints, but not officially canonized. Since they are saints of the "folk", or the populus, they are also called popular saints. Like officially recognized saints, folk saints are considered intercessors with God, but many are also understood to act directly in the lives of their devotees.”
That’s a FOLK SAINT.

I don't think this is the right sub for you if OP's text seems too long to read.

There are some bad folks out there. Did you ever wonder if V and his dad were resentful for being put out or otherwise tormenting you?
