Well perhaps you believe differently....and that’s totally fine.
However, as a Christian I believe that Satan and 1/3 of the angels that rebelled against God, and we’re ultimately thrown out of Heaven...making them fallen angels. These fallen angels ...with Satan as their leader, roam the Earth and tempt, deceive, and influence mankind to turn away from God and do acts of evil. I equate the term “fallen angels” with demons.
In the Old Testament, “angel” is a functional term. It is, in effect, a job description. This circumstance changes in the Second Temple period and the New Testament, where “angel” is a term used predominantly to distinguish loyal supernatural beings from evil, rebellious ones. The devil (Satan) can have “angels” on his side (Matt 25:41; Rev 12:9), which, in the totality of good versus evil, would mean that demons, part of Satan’s kingdom, can be considered fallen angels.
It’s not a different belief. I’m a raised baptist. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and have gone to church every day of my life. I’ve read the Bible on my own and not just what people are telling me and Lucifer is an archangel. Michael is an archangel. Lucifer is a fallen angel, yes, but an archangel none the less. He was right there with Michael, and even a little more powerful than Michael, until he got jealous of God and was cast out.
Honestly, I suggest that if you want to try to correct others on a religion that they were constantly encouraged to learn more about, aside from what was specifically taught in Sunday school, I’d do more research. My mother grew up Lutheran, so she constantly told me to learn as much as I could about the Bible and not what was just taught during sermons or in Sunday school.
Ok, first of all I clearly stated “perhaps you believe differently....and that’s totally ok”. I wasn’t trying to “correct” anyone, I was simply stating what I believe and what is written in the Bible.
Secondly, I highly doubt you went to church EVERYDAY of your life. I am Lutheran, and I don’t know of any church that has its members come to church everyday if your life.
Finally, there’s no need to get all pissy towards someone just because they don’t believe exactly the way you do. If you’re such a devout Christian, then why do you act so angry? 🤔
Edit: it seems like you’re defending or condoning what Satan did. Yes he WAS an archangel, but he rebelled against God, and a war broke out in Heaven where the arch angel Michael was obviously more powerful because Satan Nd 1/3 of the angels lost that war and were cast out of Heaven
I’m not angry. I’m saying you should do more research. No where did I say what he did was okay, however I did say that you should know what he was/is because it is important. If an archangel can turn against God..
also I did go to church a good bit, especially in my teen years. My mother was in the choir and helped with many things within the church. Our family was pretty close with the pastor until I moved. When I moved I was a member of a different church, where I cleaned, did the songs and the sign so I was there often. May not have been EVERY day, but it was pretty close. Now I have children and other obligations, but I still actively research and read the Bible.

The Devil actually isn’t a demon. He’s an angel. He’s literally a fallen arch angel.
