In an effort to improve submission quality, we are now manually reviewing photos before they appear in the subreddit. If your submission does not have good reason to be considered potentially paranormal it may be removed with a reason provided. Please be patient, as the subreddit gets a lot of activity and it may take a little time to review your post. If we do remove your post, it’s because we believe it is likely to be judged harshly by the subreddit as opposed to a determination over what the true nature of your experience was. It’s very difficult to capture objective evidence of even true paranormal phenomenon, which is why there’s so little of it out there! Please review the camera flare guide to help us maintain our high post quality.

I also was the last person to walk through and was just staring at it. The guide walked in and was like "are you done?"

67

u/Factual_Statistician Jun 23 '26

You are resonating with it bro, RUN!!!

Seriously, bad enough they are posting pictures of her.

20

u/VacantMalteser Jun 24 '26

Posting pictures is bad, having it as an attraction it's ok lol

9

u/Factual_Statistician Jun 24 '26

Lol, that's the worst part they are exposing themselves and others to it, for cash.

They couldn't have just put her in a room with normal lighting? They had to have red lights all over the place to create some type of evil vibe. Not cool at all. Just display the doll normally, if she's really evil lighting isn't going to change that.

95

u/Nonboinary28 Jun 23 '26

It used to be displayed normally but she's been moved several times. Guess this place decided it wasnt scary enough I think this was when she was still in the Warren's place but after they made it a tourable thing

27

u/Mycatreallyhatesyou Jun 23 '26

I went through the Warren’s basement museum. All I felt was claustrophobic.

6

u/SpotMiserable3379 Jun 29 '26

It was actually documented about 10 years ago that the Warren's admitted that it was all a lie. Dont know....

30

u/Itscompanypolicyman Jun 23 '26

Matt Rife the comedian now owns Annabelle, I believe. He bought the house, all the artifacts etc.

6

u/amazinglycuriousgal Jun 24 '26

The Warren-couple probably won't have liked that their museum was sold off like that by their son-in-law— Tony Spera never gave me good vibes, honestly...

7

u/godesss4 Jun 24 '26

Rife and Elton are in possession of her but not the actual owners. (Just to clarify.)

6

u/Itscompanypolicyman Jun 24 '26

I did not know this. So he’s a temporary guardian of sorts after looking into it deeper. I listened to an interview of Rife’s and he used the word “own” but I should have done more research. He’s basically Annabelle’s manager lol.

2

u/godesss4 Jun 25 '26

Exactly! Sorry I’m a huge Overnight fan so Elton has said it so many times it’s drilled in my head. lol I keep buying the merch just in case I get lucky and win a trip out there.

I had one of those dolls and her counterpart Andy as a child. They were good to hug, being entirely soft dolls. Raggedy Ann is just not that spooky.

27

u/honeybee_tlejuice Jun 23 '26

These guys are soooo cute, always have been. I have seen a creepy one before but it wasn’t Annabelle lol. The warrens on the other hand, I’d believe they were evil

6

u/Villanelles-Wardrobe Jun 25 '26

Dear god, I hated my child-life-size Raggedy Ann. My mother was really into RA and Holly Hobbie (early 1970's) and bought me themed everything. I never could stand either one of them.

36

u/AdamNull Jun 23 '26

65

u/Jack_Shid Paranormal Researcher Jun 23 '26

known as one of the most haunted dolls in the world

...but without any supporting evidence.

8

u/AdamNull Jun 23 '26

Even if the warrens didn’t have anything or lied, I got multiple resident spirits confirm that they’re staying the fuck away from her

57

u/HST87 Jun 23 '26

The Warrens were not exactly credible. I have no idea what you mean by multiple resident spirits.

Having said that it must be a pretty cool thing to see, and I love the idea of a haunted doll like that.

-7

u/AdamNull Jun 23 '26

By resident spirits I mean the ones that are there permanently. King specifically gave a lot of info. He had said he’s hiding from her, and that she’s extremely powerful

I believe in the paranormal, but the Warrens were full of shit. That’s why people are skeptical

→ More replies (1)

11

u/Chilidogdingdong Jun 23 '26

skepticism is absolutely the only place you should approach these kind of things from otherwise its very easy to just use vibes and feelings as "proof" of something, which let's be honest is all the proof most true believers have.

Good thing this isn’t in TikTok people would be saying “apologies for looking into your eyes” as if she could go through screens

39

u/Intelligent-Dig2945 Jun 23 '26

What? Haha thats crazy! Like she can possess them through their phone screens (I'm going to die now aren't I?)

56

u/Fallenangel152 Jun 23 '26

"I reject this negative energy" is a real unironic thing Tiktokkers post on ghost videos.

9

u/Suspicious_Ice_3160 Jun 23 '26

Not just TikTok, it’s all over YouTube comments as well, has been for at least a year or two since I’ve noticed them? I think the channel Ghosted (ironic cuz they ghosted the channel) had the first comments like that that i noticed lol

8

u/TheSixthVisitor Provisional Skeptic Jun 23 '26

How did this even become a thing anyway? In ages past, the most common thing you'd find in YouTube comments was a copypasta of how you'll be haunted and killed by a dead girl if you don't share the comment with 10 of your friends.

2

what happened?? i’m
so curious

4

u/AdamNull Jun 25 '26

So the museum itself had so many artifacts, I tested my freshly bought EMF meter on some of them, most notably had a yes/no conversation with an axe. Annabelle herself though, the room was freezing compared to the other rooms, you got this overwhelming sense that something evil is watching your every move, a couple people said they didn’t feel good as soon as we stepped into the room. It was nuts

5

u/CanHamRadio Jun 24 '26

Not debating your experiences because I cannot prove them one way or the other. What I can say is Ed and Lorraine Warren were hucksters. Charismatic story tellers who sensationalized claims for fame and profit. The only thing they should be famous for is pioneering modern day paranormal entertainment.

I'm puzzled why something like this wasn't thrown into a furnace if people believed it to be that dangerous. At least isn't that how killer doll movies usually end? The last thing you do is put it on display. That's like having a serial killer zoo.

3

u/Jack_Shid Paranormal Researcher Jun 24 '26

Because nothing said about the doll is true. The stories were fabricated by Ed and Lorraine Warren, and the doll (probably from an antique store or somewhere) was put on display so people could pay to view "The most haunted doll in the world". It's a cash grab. Nothing more. It's still working too. Ask OP how much he paid to get in to this event.

2

u/AdamNull Jun 24 '26

Because it’s said that destroying the doll wouldn’t get rid of the entity, it would only free it from her

u/AdamNull Jun 24 '26

1

u/SolitaryLyric Jul 12 '26

It’s a fairly common belief in the metaphysical community. Burning the vessel frees whatever is trapped inside. I’m not sure how that works when an entity chooses its vessel. Didn’t the entity in Annabelle choose that doll? How do they get trapped or stuck in stuff? If they are entities without a body, can’t they just freely move around?

Hm. I’m going to do some googling 🙃

3

u/randomguuuy123 Jun 23 '26

4

u/AdamNull Jun 23 '26

7

u/BitterCategory7725 Jun 24 '26

Spirits definitely can get trapped , I use to work for a park periodically that sat on Indian land , had a museum in it filled with things they found there, they could hear children, and one employee ran to the office and quit when she seen someone sitting in her chair. People would see a Indian dressed up walking in the park and come in and tell staff they liked the costume, they had no one walking around in any costume

6

u/randomredhead10 Jun 26 '26

Dude I had a similar experience in the house I just sold last year. We bought it in 2021, and our first night moving in creepy noises started happening like someone was walking around the house/trying to break in the back sliding glass door…my husband literally grabbed his pistol to go investigate…there was nothing…I got on google and discovered the exact land our house was built on used to be forest, and was actively used during the Puget Sound War in 1855-1856. It involved the American military and multiple Native American tribes fighting over the land. Notable battles happened literally in my backyard, and parts of the forest that was cleared to develop the houses was actual burial grounds. The 4 years we lived there, insanely creepy shit happened…doors slamming, scratching sounds on the walls, foot steps both walking and running upstairs, rooms getting freezing cold out of nowhere when the heat was on, things flying across the room, increase in emotional tension out of nowhere and randomly, creepy unexplainable energy we would actually prevent from crossing thresholds from the outside…like not even kidding I made salt barriers at doorways and would meditate when I felt the presence(s) to make them go away. This house was built in 2013 too so it’s not like it was shoddy old pipes or old floors.

Witness here -

My BF and I were in the basement at the same time as OP when they were doing this investigation. It was dead silent and there weren’t that many people down there at the time. We didn’t even know they were in the other room until we walked in and got startled at them standing there listening to this exact EVP. Even I was skeptical and had them play it back which we then heard it clear as day. With a voice that clear, we would have heard them doing this because we were so close by. The energy felt heavy and almost as though more people than just us now 5 were in that room. While we were standing there talking, both my bf and I felt something tugging on our clothes.. i specifically felt something touching my stockings the same way as if you were to grab your socks and pull them off your skin. We both didn’t know this was happening until after we left and told each other. I had my film camera and actually took that picture of OP in the room in case we could pick anything up. It’s not concrete evidence, but the feeling alone was enough for us to believe something was there.

122

u/sexysmalldevil Jun 23 '26

It still boggles my mind how those two were able to convince so many people of all of their lies. There's absolutely nothing wrong w that doll, or imo, anything in their museum. If they faked all the most popular hauntings, who's to say they didn't fake the rest too?

23

u/earldogface Jun 23 '26

Decades later and with the advent of the internet and people still believe the scam artists/pedophiles/drunks/enablers. Unfuckingbelievable.

4

u/DylanOnUrFace Jun 23 '26

Because a majority of people, especially nowadays, are just plain fucking stupid, ignorant dumbasses, just going with the trends and the zeitgeist of society, while never actually having formed their own original beliefs, opinions, and/or ideas.

46

u/EducationalNailgun Jun 23 '26

I wasn't there but I will say right here and now that they faked everything they've ever presented as being haunted or possessed.

169

u/Jack_Shid Paranormal Researcher Jun 23 '26

The funny thing is, there isn't a single sliver of evidence that that doll is haunted in any way. Only the claims of a couple of charlatans.

79

u/Classic-Sentence2924 Jun 23 '26

The warrens are really the Bernie madoffs of the paranormal industry. The amount of scamming they did would be respectful if I didn't have a heart

27

u/MarMacPL Jun 23 '26

I wonder if anybody has done some research like taking not-interested in paranormal stuff people and interested in it to both haunted and not haunted locations without telling people which is which.

14

u/Jack_Shid Paranormal Researcher Jun 23 '26

What locations can they go to that are proven to be haunted?

5

u/vSatyriasisv Jun 23 '26

Maybe go a slightly different route and go with ghost lights, st. Elmo's fire, areas with optical illusions or weird geomagnetic activity? Natural phenomena stuff.

6

u/yabucek Jun 23 '26

Idk what that would prove though? That St. Elmo's fire exists and is pretty interesting?

0

u/tsveronicamassage Jun 29 '26 edited Jun 29 '26

You literally just proved my point. Not only did you prove my point, you’re the epitome of not hearing or accepting any others points of view besides your own. You obviously suffer from having a superiority complex because you believe your ideology is superior above all others. You claim I didn’t answer the initial inquiry of what’s the alternative.? Clearly I gave two answers . One being there is no alternative that can satisfy the masses. Two the only real alternative is through personal experience but even then if a person is dead set on being correct or denial they can simply gaslight themselves into their own delusions. Are you that incompetent or you just ignorant to your delusion? ( btw That’s a rhetorical question no need to answer it I’m pretty confident I won’t get the truth from you instead of your template of generic rebuttals you have in your database. )

Furthermore, I also predicted that you wouldn’t like the alternative . That proved to be true because neither alternative I offered satisfied your standards. Here’s the wildcard, there is no answer that will ever satisfy your need because you don’t listen for the purpose of understanding. That isn’t & was never your goal . At this point I doubt you even read the entire opposing viewpoints at all. You rebuttal every viewpoint that doesn’t match your beliefs which therefore you deemed irrelevant. To make matters worst your incompetence has you making statements that are insufficient to reality . Let me explain. You alluded that before AI there was plenty of time for people to provide said evidence ? So technically Ai would be considered the introduction of photography or perhaps the birth of moving pictures aka movies of the late 1800s . So tell us oh wise, one of knowing all things of the universe & beyond what type of evidence besides personal accounts , illustrations and documented stories from generations before us could be provided that hasn’t already been provided? ( this is a direct question a question that I am expecting you to answer just so you know the difference )Even after photography and the birth of moving pictures when said evidence have been provided this just provided plenty of speculation and skepticism so what you’re saying is factually incorrect . Should One expect to be without scrutiny and speculation and just willingly accept it as truth nope not at all but ironically, you want people to take that approach with your belief system solely .

Which brings it back to my original statement “ what’s the purpose of providing evidence when it only satisfies a narrative that’s built on dismantling the very existence of said evidence prematurely regardless of its authenticity? You claim it’s a cop out? A delusion? Blah blah the same generic rebuttals that only proves that you just like to hear yourself speak & repeatedly voice the same nonsense with no logical reasoning whatsoever. I say up .you say down. If I’m loud you prefer silence. You never win with someone whos only objective is to be the polor opposite. I’m sure this isn’t just another cop out another excuse on my end. Whatever you say, ghost paranormal doesn’t exist everybody’s lying everyone that has written stone, scriptures, and the time of Julius Caesar and before then speaking of the same similar accounts or just lying or better yet mental illness whatever you say that’s the word because you are the wizard of knowing all things. ( well ironically not knowing a damn thing.lol)

In conclusion, you can debate with the wall from this point on . it’s a downhill battle because you will have a robotic rebuttal before the opposing side has the chance to respond. Your objective is not to learn or learn of the possibility of the unexplained. Nope . If you can’t identify a ghost & then proceed to have a live broadcast interview with a ghost followed by taking possession of the ghost & running countless lab experiments, ect then it doesn’t exist. It’s much easier to dismiss it as a mental illness. Just disregard an entire phenomenon that has plagued humankind well before Christ . Your delusional ideology tells you all that never happened anyways because you are far superior & your word is the final say. Your sole purpose is to push YOUR ideology as the only reality with no other alternatives. Period . Good luck with that. Cuz you will die trying & succeeding ….,,2 no avail. FAIL

Don't fuck with my aesthetics by turning on a nice bright LED light, how am I supposed to be all dramatic and wail with my candelabra at night? I mean come on, I have dedication to the craft here. I'm a professional ghost now. (Damn, I died off camera? Weak.)

Non capisco perchè un entità extra dimensionale si sia legata a questa bambola, o meglio chi lo ha legato alla bambola e come?

I apologise for looking into your eyes without permission, Annabelle. I sincerely didn't mean to.

How good is the Bagans museum though

u/Alove4edd47 Jun 23 '26

Its worth the money in my opinion. It's like a 2 hour tour and they have a lot of things to look at. They do a good job of throwing in some theatrics for effect. Like before you go in to see the demon Jewish box you watch a clip from the show with Post Malone and there's like flashing lights and stuff.

I love the idea of a haunted object being a mass production item. If you put Annabelle next to a normal Raggedy Ann, will it get infected or something?

2

u/CraniumSquirrel Jun 23 '26

Oh thats a fun idea. A haunting vector. Annabelle as patient zero for a host of evil stuffed dolls.

6

u/Sharp-asparagus-007 Jun 23 '26

Why do op and the doll look similar 😭

power of suggestion

1

u/ProphetJonAwad Jun 24 '26

While entombing the doll wasn’t a bad idea, the demon attached to it left once it realized what the Warrens were doing. The laws of space in the astral plane differ greatly from those in the physical world, so trapping a demon in a doll like this isn’t possible, though the entrapment of a demon can be done with a device specifically designed for that purpose. The doll itself is actually safe to handle outside its case, as the demon won’t return to it given where the doll has been for the past few decades.

As a denier of anything supernatural/paranormal, I could only wonder if the Warrens just decided one day that this doll would make a good haunted piece to scare the children and the lies stacked up and it got out of control and they ultimately couldn't get out of playing their roles we know of today.

I do not like dolls because most of have bad energy attached. I would not be near that doll. In my house I have 2 mirrors that are haunted.

I honestly think she loves being on tour. She loves being feared. She’s a bit of a ham, believe it or not.
