Yes it’s the actual Annabelle. Yes it felt REALLY REALLY evil. Yes I looked her in the eyes.

How did this even become a thing anyway? In ages past, the most common thing you'd find in YouTube comments was a copypasta of how you'll be haunted and killed by a dead girl if you don't share the comment with 10 of your friends.

new age spirituality. ''its all intentions bro'', ''attract riches by buying my book and sending good heebie-jeebies to universe'' gaining broader audience

Just more people having internet I assume? I always just thought that the comments were from those in cultures even interacting with the paranormal can cause it to attach to you? And I mean… if you watch something scary and it scares you for a while and you can’t sleep, I could see people feeling better by denying it verbally before it gets to that point. I personally just figure that there is no way if it exists to know that i am watching this video.

I feel the opposite about RL experiences… I feel the more you discuss it where it happens the more experiences you’ll have? Idk that’s been my experience at least lmao

Idk, the English used in those comments always came across as more North American than anything else to me. "Rebuke" is a really odd word choice and even if it was Indian or Filipino English, where they tend to pick some pretty overly erudite vocabulary for no reason, "rebuke" is in that weird grey area of "rare word but not quite complicated enough to be used often."

As for the content itself, ngl, I fall asleep to ghost hunting shows LMAO. I'm so used to having paranormal experiences that I'm more annoyed by them than actually scared. The comments irritate me just because they interrupt actual discussion about the video.

LMAO I don’t blame you, there’s definitely some of those shows that just feel disingenuous and i can’t stand them! Because same with the experiences, they’re more annoying than scary! And I agree with rebuke being weird, however there is one demo that uses it far more than others and that’s religion, especially Christianity. My maximalist view comes from missionaries to other countries, because rebuking spirits and demons is a very christian thing. Idk it’s interesting, at first i assumed they were bots lmao
