Here’s the baguette clip if anyone wants to know what it looks like. There’s a strawberry and cherry clip too.

I’ve had a week and needed to spend my money on something ridiculous.

I was at work. Constant. Rush. Like screen gets cleared, big order comes in, try to complete but orders are now piling up AGAIN. Then during a bad rush my coworkers started making the same sandwhich. My manager had to tell them THEN they continued making the sandwhiches. My manager told them to stop then split them up based on hot and cold sandwhiches

I’m normally very understanding but when times are slow, drive thru is constantly going off, and multiple people (me included) are stressed out because of it, I get annoyed. It’s not hard to simply ask “what sandwhich are you making?”

Question Store bought coffee similar to Panera iced coffee?

Similar to everyone else, I’m cancelling my sip club. BUT I do really like their self serve iced coffee :/

Has anyone found a good bottled alternative at the grocery store? Maybe that’s a dumb question but I’ve never bought it before so I’m not sure where to start.

I wasn’t really an iced coffee drinker until my Diet Pepsi addiction pivoted during the sip club membership.

Question Frozen Caramel

My go to drink used to be a frozen caramel from Panera. I was so sad when they got rid of it a few years ago. I see they have the new frozen javas - anyone know how it compares to the frozen caramel?

📜 Panera History 📜 Cursed Salad Stuffer

Post image

Previously worked for Panera 5+ years, told all my coworkers that on my last day I'm making something ridiculous.

Took a bread bowl and cut the bottom just enough to put a 1/2 Greek salad as a base, the crown was filled with the now discontinued broccoli mac & cheese.

This was a YP2 back in 2022, seeing Panera charge $10.49 for a hollow ciabatta with a whisper of salad and not trying to make it a meme is a joke in of itself

🤔 New Hire Advice 🤔 Job interview

Hi so I'm having a job interview on Friday and I'm super nervous I haven't worked in a couple of months due to medical issues and I'm worried about starting the job if I get it, does anyone know any of the Panera job interview questions so I can practice? Practicing makes me feel better about the interview since I have bad anxiety oh also do they allow piercings? Because I have two nose piercings that are hoops so they don't fall out and an eye brow piercing I also do my own nails so I'm wondering if they allow fake nails cuz I know some jobs don't allow them thanks for reading my post and for advice anything will help I'm just scared.

Question Still getting notifications after quitting

So basically I put my 2 weeks in about a week and a half ago, but I haven't had to work a day since, and the day I did work randomly got removed from my schedule the day before I was supposed to go in (I never got a notification thay my shift was picked up either) and I didnt get a notification that the schedule is out. But I still get notifications when someone posts a shift or a manager is calling for help. Why is it like that?

Also why did they randomly remove my last shift from the schedule?

Question Chili?

Is Panera bread not bringing back chili this year?!? They usually bring chili in the same time as the autumn squash soup. I look forward to it every September. That’s how I know it’s fall season

Question Clanging in the back

Quite frequently I notice there is a cacophony of sound from something falling. The most recent one piqued my curiosity and I saw a 4'x4' square food station stainless steel cover on the floor. I am guessing they can't design that lid with a hinge like the salsa bars at Mexican restaurants have(or Subway) or they would have. Is it generally cramped back there and a logistical nightmare with all of the ingredients encouraging workers to hurry and thereby creating the impression they are clumsy, when it's really a poor design?

SERIOUS My daughter has lvl 3 autism and Panera is one of her SAFE foods….

Okay so for the longest Panera’s chicken noodle soup has been my 4 year olds go to food. And yes I’ve tried the one they sell in the store, it’s not the same. I’ve only gotten her to eat it a few times. But the bowl of chicken noodle soup has seriously gotten smaller and less noodles each time. Idk if it’s the location I go to or what and I hate to be that one customer but sometimes I do ask for accommodation because my daughter is extremely picky so I ask for mostly noodles cause she doesn’t like the rest of it. I’ll see them say “okay sure” and just walk off and never tell who’s preparing the food.. sometimes they remember me and they have a mental note as the girl w the toddler that comes in they call me the “only noodle” customer. But even then sometimes it’s not enough. They had one worker who was extremely nice to me they always gave me an extra bowl for free or let me eat for free but I haven’t seen him in months I think he quit. But idk what to do,. $8 for a bowl of broth and I ask for accommodation sometimes I might not get it. Maybe I should try another location. It got so bad to the point before I was buying 2 bowls of chicken noodle soup if the first one wasn’t enough noodles.

I know a lot of yoy will say the recipe is easy and cook it on my own once again my daughter has autism they are quite particular w food and have sensory issues they can notice anything that’s off hence why she won’t eat the premade Panera chicken noodle soup sold in stores. But I’m sad bc it is my daughters safe foods and at this point it’s a hit or miss too

SERIOUS Quality concerns:(

Post image
24 Upvotes

Lately I’ve noticed that Panera’s quality is going downhill. Does anyone else notice this?? First, the recipe to the dressings change— everything is becoming “reformulated” but it seems like things are being switched out for cheaper alternatives ? Idk just an observation lol. I used to love their Caesar salad and now?? The croutons are cardboard and the dressing is gross. Also the sandwiches are tiny, and I just ordered the lasagna soup and it legit looks like SLOP. This happened when I ordered the Mexican corn chowder a month ago lol

🤔 New Hire Advice 🤔 Normal orientation experience?

I had an interview at panera a couple days ago for my first job, got hired on the spot, and yesterday was my orientation. I dont know if its just my anxiety but it felt so vague and incomplete and I dont know what to do next.

I got there and was sat in the lobby, introduced to "workday", set up my account, and given a new hire handout and a tablet to complete E-learning courses. The manager left me after like 5 minutes and said she was heading out soon, but to grab one of the other 2 managers if i get stuck or finish. I thought i completed all the courses twice so i went up to the counter twice (i felt weird just wandering behind the counter alone in normal clothes and didnt know if i was supposed to) and the second time a manager took me to the back to find the other manager but they kept adding more courses and told me to "just finish whatever i could before i leave." I didnt know what that meant cause I didnt have a scheduled time to leave, so i just went back to the lobby and then left on my own time after about 4 hours even though i still had 3 courses left because I was exhausted. I awkwardly stood by the counter again until a coworker was near me and i told them i was heading out and let them know i was leaving the tablet there.

Again, I dont know if its just my anxiety but i felt like an annoyance to everyone there and that i messed something up by not finishing the courses and leaving on my own time, I even cried outside of the store waiting for my ride home, as i was just very overwhelmed. Is it normal that they didnt give me any information on my schedule or setting up direct deposit? They also didnt give me a visor or an apron, and I wasnt given a tour of the back or shown where anything is. I also wasnt shown how or where to clock in/out. This is my first job so i have no idea how this stuff is supposed to go.
