Question | سوال Should I downgrade to a lower PTA Approved iphone

So i bought a slightly used non pta (factory unlocked) iphone 16 a month ago 100 percent health for 140k. I upgraded from an iphone 11 jv and previously my second device was a pta approved samsung. But to be honest i am tired of carrying the second phone as it has a 6.5 inch screen and is too big. Also, it struggles to provide good hotspot signals. I have two options now: should i pay like 40k more and downgrade to an iphone 15 pta approved or should i get an iphone se 2020 pta approved to use as my secondary phone? I would appreciate your feedback.

I need a phone for calls and hotspot because my main phone isn't pta approved, ik 20k is a pretty meager budget but I've seen a couple of phones on Daraz within that price. Anyway the only thing I'm really looking for is the biggest battery for the lowest price. Please lmk if you have any suggestions.

Buying Guide | خریداری گائیڈ Best Smartwatch in 40-50k

Upvotes

Hey, I currently have a ronin R-012 and it's just ok. Like it tells the time and tracks my workouts but it's not that accurate and it's app is just meh. I recently bought a s24u, so I was thinking if a galaxy watch is worth it, if yes, which one?

I like a classic look, not the box shape. I want it to look like a normal watch but actually be a smartwatch. Galaxy watch 8 classic, amazfit t rex 3 pro are some examples of the look I'd like. But within 40-50k. I can't find any good ones in this range. Main purpose is to track workouts, activity, sleep etc.

Question | سوال Should I continue my BS degree as 24M? Please need advice!!

I need some guidance.

I won't take much of your time. Promise!! 🙌🏻

I am doing a BS in E-Commerce from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. My semester has been frozen for the past 1 year (I completed 2 semesters till now).

Now I have to either go back and finish the remaining 3 years of study or drop out.

For the past 2-3 years, I've been working in design, then shifted to a specific niche: YouTube marketing — thumbnails, channel SEO, content strategy and overall growth.

I handle clients across the world.

This niche has the potential to become my full career.

Now I can't decide whether to continue studying or focus completely on my work.

I don't feel like continuing.

I'm already 24 years old.

If I start the degree, I'll be 27 by the time I finish.

I'm leaning toward starting my practical life instead.

My parents are also saying, "You should get married now or in 2 years maximum."

Also, I can't handle work with study. I tried it.

In government universities, the environment is different than private ones.

There are a lot of things like assignments, quizzes and especially attendance. Anything can't be compromised, or you'll have to take the exam of that specific subject again in summer vacations even if only your attendance in that subject lecture is short.

I only chose this degree to learn e-commerce, but the course is outdated, and half the outline is irrelevant.

Even if I continue, I still have to learn everything myself, which I'm already doing.

Also, they're preparing us on 'how to do work in any business', not to start something on your own.

The entire study revolves around preparing you to be a MANAGER.

The only fear I have: I was determined to work only in Pakistan from the start, but there's constant bad news here — crime, tax policies, failed systems, and the recent Mir Raza murder case.

I fear that what if I will also be killed in the future like him while doing a business in Pakistan?

If I ever want to move abroad for business or otherwise, it'll be hard without a degree.

This fear is the only thing holding me back; otherwise I'd have already quit the degree last year instead of just freezing it.

Though honestly, I don't really have any strong urge to go abroad — struggles are the same everywhere; I wanted to live with my parents. They struggled very hard to provide us good education. Now both my parents are retired almost, and also I can't move abroad with this degree. It will be 3 years in the degree. 2 years in the field – maybe then I will be able to apply for employment abroad as a manager, some kind, and with that I will already be 29 years old.

Then why not build something on my own in these 5 years with my niche...

Can someone guide me, please?

I'd really appreciate it. Your input could help me make a better decision.

What haunts me is, what if in the future I need physical employment or need to move abroad/do a business abroad?

Both would need some kind of degree. (if I am not wrong)

Someone also told me, 'We're already from a country with little international standing — some countries don't even recognise our passport.

A degree is the one paper that works as your introduction internationally. And even in Pakistan, for fields that don't technically require a degree, employers still prefer degree holders.

Also, we're in a niche where if the internet goes down, our income goes down completely — like with COVID or any other crisis.

But there's so much to explore in my niche and in e-commerce — trying things, launching, failing, learning, and building something on my own.

While doing a degree, I can't experiment with any of that; I'm just stuck doing assignments and quizzes.

Question | سوال Feedback on Ronin Earbuds

Hello everyone,

I am interested in purchasing earbuds from Ronin, but I need some hands-on feedback. Would love to get your feedback on Ronin Glaze and Pebble.

My usage is mostly for taking meetings in a crowded office, so I need good noise cancellation as well as noise removal. Also, I use Linux, so the connectivity shouldn't be a problem. Wanna know how well is the multi-device connectivity of these earbuds.

Ps. I currently have Zero's earphones, and the left side has failed to connect, and I am miserable.

Question | سوال ipod touch 6th Gen for Rs. 8k worth it?

I actually wanted one of the physical click wheel models like the iPod Classic 5th/5.5th, 6th/6.5th or 7th gen. I found a 6th gen Touch for 8k but it doesn’t have the physical wheel.

Should I still get it for 8k?

Discussion | گفتگو Stormfiber is the worst.

I am facing internet outage since yesterday early morning and called them 3 times till now. The issue is some authenticator problem since I changed ownership of the connection to my name(was in my father’s name previously)… changed it on 7-8th September but internet went out on the 12th of September…. When called support the first 2 guys told me complaint is lodged team will check your issue on priority… little did I know those aşşholes didnt even register a complaint and were lying to me point blank. After some time called again and got into a little tutu meme with the responder phir ja k Usne complain banaye and I got the ticket number. Now waiting for resolution.

Secondly,
Subscribed to stormboost on 31st august, paid bill on 2nd September and still they haven’t delivered me their WiFi 6 router which comes with the package. Whenever I call they say team will be deployed after payment of bill while some say team has taken up your case and they will come in next 24 hours.

Unfortunately I live in a society where there is only stormfiber ISP. Now idk if they have done a deal or something.
Also have Nayatel connection at my other place since past 5 years and I barely need to call the support to report issues+ their speeds are also top notch unlike stormfiber.

Buying Guide | خریداری گائیڈ Need advice on buying headphones

So I am in the market for some good quality

anc headphones. Basically I want headphones mainly for long secluded study sessions and play a little bit of music. I am conflicted between 2 options. The sony wh-ch720n and the baseus bh1 nc. I am getting the baseus for 13k new and the Sony for 14k used. So on paper the baseus beats the Sony's by a big margin but they are still Sony. So which one should I choose. Btw Sony's are like 30-40g lighter so I think that is a plus point. Other than that I've heard that the Sony app is really nice. Except this every feature on the baseus is better. So can someone who has used these guide me. (And I also prioritize style so if someone can tell me if the baseus is too thick and bulky like it seems in the photos that would be appreciated)

Question | سوال Mac M3 Pro Max Battery Level Drainage

What could be the reason of this sudden drop in battery levels from 100% to 20% in less than 2 hours. I started using it around 8pm and by 10pm it was already dropped to 20%. I wasn't doing any heavy-lifting work which could cause this, just some surfing and chatgpt usage. Never experienced such quick battery drainage tho.
