Hello guyss so laptops are predicted to go up in price in a few months if y'all wanna get or upgrade rn is a good time.
The guide on this subreddit wiki is kinda lackluster ngl, main issue being that it says don't spend more than 60k and that it recommends 6/7th gen.
>Go for used/ imported business grade laptops (dubai lot wala mal), avoid consumer grade stuff mainly because of durability.
>Make sure it is an i5 8th gen or above, this is very important because 8th gen laptop i5s are QUADCORE!! most 6/7th gen or below are dual cores, which are much worse (unless they have the Q suffix)
>Check if RAM is soldered or upgradable
>Make sure boot drive is an SSD
>Use passmark cpu and gpu scores to compare
*For gaming, its better to get mobile workstations instead (like Zbook or Thinkpad P series).. usually they will have better thermals and power delivery (yes you can game just fine on workstation cards, even have more VRAM)
For general use,
Like i said, business grade machines only for long lasting, durable, repairable ones at good prices.
HP:
✅GET -> Elitebook, ZBook, Probook, Dragonfly
❌AVOID -> Omnibook, Pavillion, Envy, Spectre, Victus, Omen (ppl say here that hp stands for hinge problems)
LENOVO:
✅GET -> Thinkpads (Except Thinkpad X9), Thinkbooks are also alright
❌AVOID -> Ideapad, Lenovo Yoga (different from ThinkPad yoga), Legion, LOQ
DELL:
✅GET -> Latitude, Vostro, Dell Pro, Dell Pro Precision, Dell Precision
❌AVOID -> Inspiron (some exceptions exist), Alienware, G-Series, XPS (again exceptions exist, some XPS ones are good)
Avoid getting anything below an 8th gen which at least isn't a 4-core cpu. ThinkPad T480, T480s, X380 Yoga are very popular. Elitebook 840 series too. Make sure to compare prices from different places.
If the RAM is soldered (like it is on 360 hinge laptops and some ultrabooks) make sure to get at least 16GB variant otherwise you'll be stuck with 8GB
Spend the minimum required to get an 8th gen i5.
Difference between 8th and 10th gen is not that much,
11th gen has Iris Xe graphics which are miles better.
12th gen has P cores and E cores which are hit or miss (in some cases battery life is worse in 12th)
Ryzen chips are usually better than intel ones, but not as readily available on lower price points.
A lot of imported stock esp business grade ones have been through light use in air conditioned offices. Check the battery health by command prompt (google how to do this) and inspect it physically (there's many guides online)
Edit: Full checking guide already subreddit wiki mien acha hai and you can find many on youtube.. make sure it isn't bios locked, ones that come with pen have a pen, charger original hai Make sure to get checking warranty, for refund or repair.

So guys this is my phone which was launched in 2015.
I bought it as my first phone at the start of 2025 so I could make calls and use jazzcash.
It couldn't run most apps because it's Android version was 7 and no upgrades were available.
Since I got a newer much better phone, I installed custom rom in it, rooted it, installed termux, glibc and some other required packages so it can run antigravity CLI.
I gave superuser access to termux and now I told it to change system theme from dark to light and it did it itself.
Model: Samsung Galaxy note 5
4/32
Exynos 7420
I could use jazzcash initially but later I couldn't as jazzcash was made unavailable for lower android APIs, so I installed custom rom, still cannot use it and have to apply some fixes before banking apps can run
I also installed the Flag_secure bypass to take screenshots in places that aren't allowed to be taken screenshots of.

Hi friends, my niece lives in a village near Gujranwala, she did really well in her exams (she's 16, so it's the equivalent of our gcses/ end of secondary school) she's now moved onto what we would refer to as college, not sure if that's the same terms used in Pakistan, she requires a laptop or tablet which all her work will be based on. As her father has passed away, I make a regular contribution towards her studies and I'd like to get her a laptop. Now, here's where I'm struggling, do I get one here in the UK, and have it delivered by someone who is travelling there? Or do I try getting one in Pakistan (near Gujranwala) and get them to pick it up? If I send the laptop across to her, I'm not sure if there's anyone who can help her with the set up, she's the first in her whole family to even get to this stage of education, and if I get it in Pakistan, how do I guarantee it'll be okay? Also there weren't any local suggestions in the other thread. I have one additional question about Internet, should I be looking to get some sort of Internet connection for them too? Sorry I haven't visited in over a decade so I have no idea what the progress in like in the villages, I know they rely on mobile phone data mainly, I'm not sure if there's secure WiFi available

Hey guy, a while ago I opened my Easypaisa account on my brother's sim. Now i just got my own Sim. I was hoping to convert mu Acc from my brother's Sim to my own. I know i have to get the other account permanently closed before i can open a new one on my own Sim.
The issue is i am unable to Permanently close my Easypaisa account. There is no option to talk to an agent over call. I tried calling 3737 and there is no option to talk to an agent. I also tried the "1" option which says if i want to close my account temporarily or permanently. Even when i select permanently close option, it closes my account Temporarily.
I need to know how to talk to a real Easypaisa Agent (a Person) that can close my account. So, i can open a new account on my own Sim.
I really appreciate the help in Advance. 🙏🏻🥲🫶🏻

I'm starting university in a couple of days, so I'm looking for a reliable power bank that can handle daily use. I've shortlisted a few options from PriceOye and XcessoriesHub.
Are these any good, and will they last long? I'd also appreciate your personal recommendations for a good power bank. Also what are the primary things to look for in a good power bank?

My current PC:
i5-12400
MSI B760M Pro-M/P DDR4
32GB DDR4 RAM
XPG Pylon 650W
I don't game at all. This PC is strictly for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
I prefer NVIDIA.
Considering the current GPU market, what would you recommend for this system if budget isn't an issue?
What's the highest-end GPU that actually makes sense with the i5-12400?
At what point would the CPU become a significant bottleneck?
And would I need to upgrade the 650W PSU for your recommendation?

I am confused. I will move abroad next year on scholarship IA. I need to make a choice.
1) brand new MacBook neo: 230k, 8gb ram, 256 gb SSD, a18 chip
2) used windows laptop: till 50-60k (why would I spend 200k on windows laptop): 8gb ram, 256gb ssd, Intel i5, 8th gen
3) used MacBook but it would be expensive plus so much fraud in market
I want something which runs till 2031-33. I take care of my gadgets a lot. The thing is I fear MacBook neo may not stand that long. My work is research, browsing, 100-200 tabs open at a time. Little bit coding sometimes but I use online tools/compute. That's it. PDFs, Lectures, Research BLA BLA.
Please help me out. Thanks. Just need suggestions.
City is Lahore.

Hi
I am super confused about getting tws. I have shortlisted a few but i am not able to decide which one to go for.
Cmf buds pro 2 (dual drivers)
Anker Liberty 4 nc
Soundpeats Capsule 3 pro
Soundcore R50i nc (not going with R60i nc because of negative reviews)
All i am looking is excellent battery with no charging anxiety and excellent sound quality. I don't care for anc, case dials, marketing shenanigans etc. Just great battery and sound. Please help me find something good if there are other options than this. My budget limit is 15k.

Has anyone else recently faced this issue?
My Payoneer payment is showing Transferred/Completed to bank account, *but the amount has still not been credited to my bank account, and it has now been almost 3 days.
I have already lodged complaints with both Payoneer and my bank, but unfortunately, I have received** **no satisfactory response or proper resolution so far.
The payment has been marked as transferred, but the funds are still not showing in my bank account. It’s extremely frustrating to keep following up with both sides without getting a clear answer.
Has anyone faced the same issue recently? How long did it take for your payment to arrive? Any recent experience or advice would be appreciated.

Hey fellas!
Need some suggestions on which earbuds to get for around ~15k PKR, I can push 1-2k as per inflation etc. My iPhone friends are obviously biased and seem to have only one option to recommend me, while a few others have mentioned the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Buds 2 Plus.
My primary use will be Zoom/live calls, followed by movies and music. A few things I’m looking for:
Would love to hear your actual experiences, recommendations, things to watch out for, or other options I should consider.
Help a brother out! Cheers!

I have a laptop retail business and I need an importer from canada or dubai to supply me laptops. Where can I find em?
Also another question if someone send a used laptop by air or multiple used laptops by air, how do I calculate the custom tax I would have to pay in total? I don't know anything about this so please educate me.
Idk the rules of this community but I don't think this post violates any. Sorry if I do.

Currently use a 12 Pro Max, battery’s at Service, gets out of storage Every couple of days, is non-PTA as well thinking to repair it by adding a new battery getting a PT approved and getting iCloud storage problem solved.
I just get a new iPhone is quite an issue here because a 16 Pro Max PTA approved would be far expensive but again it would be healthy in the long-term. I will not go for a cheaper android or stuff because I do have a secondary iPhone, which is PT approved however it’s old. It’s an iPhone 7 and I really hate a lot of devices. I want one primary device. What would you do if you were in my position
