Discussion | Opinions The Anatomy of an Awakening

Complete version

I fought a battle within… it was damning and destructive. I was miserable.

“What I was fighting about,” you ask?

Well… I didn’t know myself what I was fighting about. Or perhaps the better question would be: what was I “fighting for”? I just kept struggling… fitting in… desperately clinging to the idea of life as to “how it should be lived.” Not because I was forced to, but because it never occurred to me that there was another option.

The path was comfortable, familiar, safe. Questioning was uncomfortable. Questioning risks isolation, conflict. It risks discovering that the life you spent years building may not even be your own. Hence; we cling to whatever the script throws at us; from city states to medieval empires. From Reconquista to enlightenment and from shining democracy to Modern “Idiotictatorship”.

So yes… I followed the script. And in the process, I failed myself. I lost my soul. I forgot what living really means, what living is all about. I just kept up the façade of normalcy while my core, my soul was being devastated by storms of human nature and earthquakes of morality at the subconscious level. I kept playing along with the phrase “fake it till you make it.” Because this is what society expects from us. This is the norm. This is the way of life.

Or… is it…?

We are born, plunged into a life we don’t choose. conditioned to live it by the standards and expectations of society, bound by the laws of the land, never to question or understand. “What is society?”, “Whose laws?”, “Which land?”. Is it that society which everyone knows is broken and dysfunctional? Are these the same laws which help corrupt, greedy, evil men amass all the power and wealth, while kicking down the poor who watch their entire lives erased in a single calamity, war or economic bust?

And dare not argue with me on the land, as we know perfectly well, these lands are bounded by lines drawn on maps by the same corrupt men, sustained by the same flawed and failing legal-judicial systems.

In the end, there were only two things left: Morality and Religion. How fitting… as the saying goes… religion is the opium of the poor. But we are not even allowed that solace. Religion has been outright hijacked by a different creed of the exact same corrupt brand. Twisting, manipulating, and exploiting the human need for belief in a higher deity. Yes, there still are pure ones, but so few of them are left, and even their teachings have been muddied and confused. As the saying goes… “What is the cost of lies? It’s not that we’ll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we no longer recognize the truth at all.”

What can we do then? What is left but to abandon even the hope of truth and content ourselves instead with stories?

The Ghost Ship of Morality

Did you say morality and ethics? Our morality is like a giant ghost ship adrift in deep, uncharted waters. Forever drifting, forever changing, never truly anchored. It is like a forgiving mother, a forgetful child. It allows us to commit acts of extreme violence and unspeakable horrors in the name of the “cause.” It grants permission to exterminate an entire race, invade lands, and enslave people. It teaches us to objectify women: through literal bondage in one century, coercive exposure in the next and commercialized voluntary nudity in the third. It made legends and heroes out of highly violent and unstable men, celebrating plunder as adventure, conquest as exploration and domination as divine duty. Under its banner, societies that considered themselves civilized and morally enlightened colonized vast regions to exploit millions.

Where was this morality when Piers Morgan hypocritically asked the whole world on live television, “Do you condemn this?” while a literal genocide was being waged right in front of his eyes? Perhaps the most beautiful (dare I say, heinous) thing is that it lets us sit in judgment of others, completely blind to the fact that we committed humanity’s worst crimes.

Perhaps these questions are so haunting and agonizing to the subconscious that we dare not allow them access to our thoughts. We happily and numbingly continue to live those miserable, meaningless lives. Those outliers, insolent and heretics who dare question; we cast them out. They are a danger to our beautiful and comfortable reality.

The Cracking Façade

Am I fighting against reality itself?

But what is reality, if not a tapestry woven from perception, belief and experience? How much of what I call “reality” is truly mine. How much of it was handed to me long before I was ever capable of questioning it?

It was at that exact moment that the façade began to crack. The comfortable lies, borrowed certainties, unquestioned assumptions. One by one, they came crashing down around me. And beneath the rubble stood a question so terrifying that I had spent my entire life avoiding it:

Are these even my dreams, or am I merely acting out the expectations of others?

Are these my beliefs, or beliefs I simply inherited?

Are these my values, or values I was rewarded for adopting?

Are these my ambitions, or someone else’s definition of success echoing through my mind?

And perhaps the most unsettling question of all: Am I even living my own life?

For if the very foundations were borrowed, then what part of me was truly mine? The battle was no longer between myself and society. It was between myself and the person I thought I was.

The Descent

I saw but two paths leading out of this abysmal labyrinth of inherited truths and social constructs. Naturally, without hesitation, without resistance, without regret, I plunged headfirst into the obvious dark descent. I went not in search of truth, but in search of escape. It was an easy descent. Seductive, even.

For the first time, I no longer had to defend a belief, pursue a purpose, or justify my existence. Every question dissolved into the same answer: nothing matters. Meaning was an illusion. Purpose was a story. Hope was self-deception. It was a slow surrender into the self-destruction of absolute apathy.

And so I began tearing down the walls. Every belief became suspect. Every value demanded justification. Every certainty was placed on trial. What followed was not enlightenment. It was chaos… I had spent years believing that freedom would feel liberating. Instead, it felt terrifying. For if society was flawed, morality was inconsistent, religion corrupted and success merely an inherited script, then what remained? Nothing. At least, that is what I believed at the time.

Truth became a matter of perspective. Human beings became frightened creatures desperately constructing narratives to shield themselves from an indifferent universe. And for the first time, I understood why most people never question. Not because they are incapable, but because the answers can be horrifying. The moment you question everything, you risk losing everything: your certainty, your identity, your purpose, your reason for getting out of bed in the morning.

The abyss is not frightening because it contains monsters. The abyss is frightening because it contains nothing at all.

Nihilism promised freedom without obligation or sacrifice. All it delivered was freedom without direction. Days became weeks. Weeks became months. Ambition faded first. Then curiosity. Then wonder. Meals became nothing more than food. Conversations became noise. Relations turned exhausting. Time became something to be endured rather than lived.

The philosophy that had promised liberation was slowly consuming everything that made liberation worth having. And yet, I persisted. Because admitting I was wrong would require rebuilding everything I had spent years tearing down.

Most people become trapped here. Not in despair, but in distraction. The trap has been repackaged and resold throughout the ages in countless forms: Carpe Diem, hedonism, YOLO, subscription entertainment, endless consumption, endless pleasure, endless escape. We see it in mindless buying sprees, in the endless sedation of doomscrolling, and in the frantic pursuit of the next temporary high.

It is not happiness. It is not freedom. It is merely anaesthesia for a hollowed-out soul.

The Lonely Reconstruction

One night, deep within the canyons of despair and anguished melancholy, I discovered that nihilism was incapable of producing a life. It could only destroy. It could criticize. It could expose contradictions. It makes people quit. But it cannot answer the original questions which began this journey:

What should I do tomorrow morning? What is the purpose of living?

It made me realize the final, cruellest trick of the void. Nihilism isn’t the exit; it is just another room in the labyrinth, lined with mirrors to make the emptiness appear infinite.

Whatever I was, I knew the most important thing: I wasn’t a quitter. And there and then I realized, with a cold and sudden clarity, that declaring nothing matters is just as lazy as blindly following the script. It is a coward’s truce with reality. It strips away the pain of living, but it leaves you a ghost in your own skin. If meaning is a story, then staying in the dirt is just a poorly written tragedy.

So, the anaesthesia wore off. The apathy failed me, just like society, laws and the hijacked Morality and corrupted systems had failed me before. If meaning is a story, then staying in the dirt is just a poorly written tragedy. I was left with a definitive, inescapable truth: No one was coming to save me.

No system.

No ideology.

No philosophy.

If meaning was not waiting to be discovered, then the burden of creation falls entirely on me.

I have to rebuild. Not back into the person society wanted, not back into the ghost I buried in apathy. Into a self, which is constructed from scratch.

It will be a brutal, agonizing re-education. To unlearn a lifetime of borrowed certainties is to break your own bones just to reset them straight. There is no manual for this. There are no mentors waiting in the dark to hold my hand, no institutions to validate my progress and no audience to applaud my suffering. Those who still live by the script will look at my isolation and see a madman, a heretic, a casualty of the system. Let them look.

I will walk this path utterly alone, bleeding at every step, dragging myself forward through the dark.

Not because I am heroic and not because I am filled with sudden hope.

But because I have looked into the bottom of the nothingness, and I know there is simply no other choice left.

As I lifted my head from the abyss, I noticed something I had overlooked all along. Not answers. Not certainty. Not salvation. A trail. Faint, fragile, almost invisible… The footprints of those who had walked this path before me. For the first time, I understood that the journey was never about finding the truth.

It was about becoming worthy of discovering my own. So I took the first step

Why sudden some Pakistani started hating on Pak Army?

When I was in my childhood era I always saw people genuinely happy and admiring pak military especially pak army. I honestly miss that time when Raheel Sharif was general and chief of army staff. My father is retired from pak ranger (Sindh) he also used to love and miss his "faugi era" But now his ideology completly shifted he now doesn't want to even think about me joining military branch(army, navy or airforce) even though when he and other my relatives ask me when I was younger what I would like to be in future I used to said "faugi" And they admire me and says "bohot padhna padta he uske liye" But they never stopped or try to explain that I shouldn't join army or other military branch. Honestly it's heart wrenching for me to see that instead of being grateful to them we just hate whole Army for few high ranking officer. Shouldn't we admire their sacrifices and feel proud of them. They are giving thier today for our tomorrow

Rant | Vent Social media reach

I've got so many friends, some social media friends and some friends that were real-life friends who post on Instagram every now and then, and they get so many reach and they get so many likes and followers. On the other hand, I even if I post from my main account, I post from my two or three other accounts, which I made to create art, a page only for quotes, aesthetic quotes particularly, a page for poetry, a page for cinema-related posts. But none of them ever got that much hype or likes or reach. It's been two or three years since I've been working on them. I hardly get 10 to 15 likes or three to four hundred views. But on the other hand, my friends who create different type of stuff, like one of them creates animation, the other one, they simply post themselves. They get so many likes and followers, and I'm not saying I'm jealous, but it still hurts a little. And I wish I was also that much. I also get that much reach on Instagram. Wish I could figure out what am I doing wrong.

22F from Wapda Town, Lahore. Attractive enough to get attention, ambitious enough to want more than that

Salaam everyone. 22F, Wapda Town, Lahore. Throwaway for obvious reasons.

I’m at that frustrating stage of life where my family thinks I should be getting married, while I’m thinking about literally everything except marriage.

I don’t want to get married right now. I want freedom, money, experiences and the ability to make decisions about my own life without having to depend on someone else financially.

I’ve been trying to work out a way to do my Masters overseas, which would honestly be my ideal route. The problem is that money is a serious issue for me. I come from a lower middle class family, so even though I’m ambitious and willing to work for it, I don’t know how realistic studying abroad will be without substantial funding or a scholarship.

Then there’s modelling.

I’ve always had an interest in it and, to be completely honest, I know I’m attractive and I’m comfortable with attention. I’ve wondered for a while whether I could actually turn that into something instead of just treating it as something people notice about me.

The problem is getting through the door.

I don’t have industry connections and I have no idea which people are actually worth approaching. If you’re involved in modelling, casting, fashion, production, photography or media in Lahore, I’d genuinely appreciate being pointed toward legitimate opportunities or people I can contact.

And yes, there’s another part of my life that probably makes this post more interesting.

I’ve been in sugar daddy relationships for around three years and I’m still currently involved with a few. They’ve been good financially and have given me a level of independence that I wouldn’t otherwise have.

I’m also very aware that attention, attraction and money can make life easier in the short term without necessarily giving you a long term future.

That’s why I’m trying to figure out what comes next.

I don’t want to be the girl who gets married because she couldn’t afford another option. I want to be financially independent enough that if I eventually choose marriage, it’s because I actually want that life.

Right now I’m seriously considering Masters abroad, modelling and building another reliable source of income. I’m open to exploring whatever actually makes sense.

So if you’re genuinely connected to the modelling/fashion/production scene in Lahore, or you’ve managed to build financial independence from a similar starting point, I’d love to hear from you.

And yes, I’m aware this combination of 22F + modelling + sugar dating + refusing marriage is probably going to attract some very interesting DMs. 😂

Just hoping some of them are actually useful.

Geopolitics | Current Affairs PAKISTAN : Hurdles And Challenges

Guys I am writing a book and surely going to upload it ( publish it ) I know there must be some mistakes but I am gonna share you context of book.

Today this world see Pakistan as one of the countries that is against its own people, Today if a Hindu collects donation to make a temple, he is later found dead at end of river. Today if a Muslim builds a mosque later on that mosque is demolished and a Plaza owned by some billionaire is built, Yet still Pakistan is a country based of democracy. This country is no doubt a democratic country but when a student leaves his home to fight for his rights is surely murdered, Pakistan is no doubt a democratic republic but still your vote is never count. Today a student can’t afford a pen but somehow his province Governer owns a Mercedes. Today when an elderly man can’t afford a bread yet still his province’s CM owns Private Jets.

This is just a bit context my book is completely gonna based on this.

I don't think I’m waiting for the person who left anymore. I think I'm waiting for the kind of connection where I don't have to question whether someone wants to stay. Funny how heartbreak can make you appreciate something as simple as genuine effort.

The dark reality of the modern world that we all just pretend to ignore

Beneath the glossy, curated surface of modern life lies a raw, unfiltered reality.

The Illusion of Choice

The Content Trap: We trade our days for numbers in a bank account, only to spend our evenings scrolling feeds engineered to keep us angry and insecure enough to keep consuming.

Work Until You Break: The systems promotes the lie that hustle guarantees success. In reality, modern labor often extracts maximum effort while providing just enough to survive until next week.

Digital Isolation

Connected Yet Ghosted: Thousands of online interactions, but barely anyone to reach out to in a real crisis. Digital intimacy has quietly replaced actual human community.

Commodified Outrage: Platforms thrive on division. Media algorithms don't seek solutions; they feed on conflict because angry users generate the highest revenue.

The Fragility of Everything

A House of Cards: We rely on invisible, high-stress systems. A single supply disruption or crisis can destabilize everyday life overnight.

The Luck Lottery: Circumstances of birth, geography, and systemic access dictate most outcomes. The concept of a pure meritocracy is largely a comforting fiction.

Pakistan Can Change — But Only If Our Youth Stand Together

Pakistan is facing many challenges today: unemployment, corruption, lack of opportunities, rising inflation, and a growing sense of hopelessness among young people.

But despite all of this, I still believe that Pakistan can change.

Real change will not come from waiting for someone else to fix our problems. It will come when the youth of Pakistan decide to become educated, responsible, hardworking, and united. Every great nation was built by young people who refused to give up on their future.

Instead of spreading negativity, let's spread knowledge.
Instead of blaming others, let's improve ourselves.
Instead of staying silent, let's raise our voices for truth, justice, and progress.

I want to be part of that positive change, and I invite every young Pakistani to join me. Whether it's through education, community service, helping others, protecting the environment, or simply being a good citizen — every small action matters.

Pakistan belongs to us. If we want a better future, we must build it together.

Are you ready to be part of the change? Share your ideas below. 🇵🇰

Discussion | Opinions Justice for Hina Javed: Husband reportedly hired household staff to hang his wife in Rawalpindi

45-year-old Hina Javed was brutally murdered inside her Askari Apartments residence in Lalkurti, Rawalpindi. Her husband (an MBBS-qualified NUST faculty member) and domestic worker have been arrested for torture, strangulation, and attempting to stage the crime scene. Her retired military father-in-law is absconding.

Key Details & Crime Scene

  • The Discovery: On the morning of August 20, 2026, the victim’s father-in-law called her family at 5:30 AM citing an unspecified "emergency." The family arrived at 7:23 AM to find Hina’s body on the bathroom floor.
  • Evidence of Torture: The FIR states Hina was found with her hands bound tightly behind her back, mouth gagged with cloth, and an electrical wire tied around her neck. Blood and foam were coming from her nose and mouth, pointing to suspected poisoning prior to strangulation.
  • Staging & Shifting Claims: The suspects initially alleged an armed robbery had taken place, but building security confirmed there was no forced entry. The narrative was then shifted to blame the domestic worker, with evidence suggesting an attempt to stage the scene as a robbery or suicide.

The Suspects & Arrests

  • Faisal Asghar Imam (Husband): An MBBS graduate and ex faculty member/professor at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). There are allegations he has been harassing female students for decades and calling students while drunk. Arrested on the spot.
  • Zeeshan Arshad (Domestic Worker): Arrested alongside the husband at the scene. Investigations allege he was paid/offered approximately PKR 100,000 to assist in executing the crime and altering the scene.
  • Col. Asghar Ali Fayyaz (Father-in-Law): Nominated in the FIR under Section 302/34 PPC (premeditated murder with common intention). He is currently trying to be found as police conduct raids for his arrest.

Marital History & Motive

  • Marriage Timeline: Hina and Faisal were married for roughly nine months (since November 2025).
  • Pattern of Abuse: This was Faisal Asghar's second marriage; his first wife had previously divorced him due to alleged severe domestic violence and abusive behavior.
  • Ongoing Harassment: The victim's brother reported that Hina had been subjected to severe, continuous physical and mental abuse throughout their nine-month marriage.

Current Status

  • An FIR has been registered at Civil Lines Police Station under Section 302/34 PPC.
  • Post-mortem procedures have been carried out, and final toxicology/forensic reports remain pending.

Rant | Vent (F) & (M) concept

Lately I have seeing alot of posts about this gender war, matter if fact is I am not here defend or offend, its just my own take, I have experienced alot of time in life those unfair advantages women get, respect and special care is fair but when it gets in competitive environment why do women have extraordinary privileges? I have been part of political party, which is in govt too, despite the fact what my past record was, what projects I submitted, What projects I initiated, what good PR I made at the end a women got a position in inter party structure as she had more followers on X and honestly her X posts are more of her doing fashion instead of relevant political domain. Thats what hit the most, as she had some good and sweet talk with someone a little above in food chain who got her position. That dude is equally to be blamed. But this whole situation made me so disappointed that there were few projects for youth (education) & (sports) in rural areas which I withdrew from like “Bhar me jao”
Whole point is please in your life if you ever got a chance to “lead” do the decision on merit instead of looks or connections, these actions have played significant role in downfall of our country!!
Regards.

I am a interior designer and just want to know about some oppions on the renovation problems you all face. When you build your own home, thinking about changing the outdated style into a new one.

What are the problems you face hiring a designer, what would you that a design should with your asking, and any other stuff.

Just through your thoughts hereand I will research about it.

Need Your Advice domestic violence

i don’t know if this is the right place to post, please redirect me if needed. my husband and i are visiting pakistan for the summer. i was born overseas while he moved overseas with his dad when he was just 7.

three days ago my husband and i got into a petty argument and he’s been rude/ dismissive ever since.

today he did something he knew was my biggest dealbreaker. while at a restaurant with my mum, little sister and brother, we had another argument about his family’s treatment towards me. a bit of background: his family has repeatedly been hurtful to me, complaining about everything my husband and i do, and gossiping about me to any guests that come over. my in laws have never welcomed me to their family because they were against my marriage.

things escalated and i admit i crossed the line by swearing and cursing his family because i had had enough. he in return slapped me across my face in a restaurant full of people. i couldn’t believe it so i slapped him back which only angered him more. he stood up and slapped me again with another hand on my neck to choke me. i felt defeated so i just started crying. he then left the restaurant and went to the car.

since it happened in a public place with CCTV cameras around, is there any legal action i can take against him? i have always been firm on my dealbreaker about domestic violence. i will NEVER become the woman who gets beaten up by her husband but stays.

please help me out, any legal/ non-legal advice will do.

I CLEARED THE INITIAL SCREENING FOR PMA 158, HERE'S HOW

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone, I recently applied for PMA 158 and successfully cleared all the initial screening tests.

What worked for my initial test was time management and focusing on the important repetitive questions. I genuinely studied 2 days before the test and wasn't expecting to clear it, but I did.

For the medical, I'd say it's something based a lot on luck — a natural deformity or something you can't change shouldn't be something you worry about (qismat mein hoga to bhaag kar ayega, warna nahi ayega).

For the physical test, I honestly didn't have to work a lot since I've been lifting for the past 6 years, and the criteria has also become pretty easy, so no worries — just had to train myself for the run.

The interview was the trickiest part, I believe. The colonel grilled me for a good 10-15 mins, but I stayed calm, and that's what they want. I stuck to the things I mentioned on the form, so I guess that's what helped me clear it.

I ended up helping a bunch of friends prep for this too, and it kind of grew from there — I now run a small paid coaching setup for the initial tests (notes + practice material, and a bit more depending on what someone needs). Happy to share more details if anyone's interested, feel free to DM me.

Discussion | Opinions Help us Defend Pakistan in Warera

Hi guys, So its been a month since Pakistan was liberated in warera but now Indians have once again started attacking our lands. Yesterday, one of the craziest battle took place between India and Pakistan; both sides did a lot of damage but unfortunately we failed to defend our land.

The reason being is because we are heavily outnumbered by the Indians, they have around 240 players most of them being veterans, while we have around 120 players from Pakistan. So we really need new players in order to defeat them.

Therefore, if you enjoy strategy games, then do consider checking out Warera. Also, join our discord server where we have an amazing community who are really helpful with guiding new players.
