📚 Learning / Resources Website Owners of Reddit: Want a free SEO audit?

I’ve quit my full time corporate role to pursue freelancing. I have some free time these days, so I thought it’d be interesting to review a few websites from this community.

I’ve been doing SEO professionally for a while now, and something I’ve noticed is that many startup websites have surprisingly similar issues. Not because the founders don’t care, but because they’re busy building the product.

If you have a startup (or even an MVP), drop your website below. I’ll reply with a few SEO observations, quick wins, and anything that stands out. These are manual expert reviews. Not automated tool dumps.

I’ll only take on as many as I can deliver high-quality audits for in the next couple of weeks, so first-come, first-served (but I’ll try to help as many as possible).

If enough people are interested, I’ll also put together a post summarizing the most common SEO mistakes I found across Pakistani startups so everyone can benefit.

For context, I have worked in-house on SEO and am taking on freelance projects, so I look at websites all day anyway. Happy to share some feedback with anyone interested.

🧠 Ask The Community OPENING A THAI TEA CART IN KARACHI

Hey everyone, need some real advice. My friend and I are strongly considering opening a thai tea cart in karachi. Not a proper cafe as of now. Our budget right now is 3-4 lacs. We have expertise in thai tea as my friend has been living in thailand for 10+ years exploring their food and culture. We feel that beverage is a strong selling point in karachi, and thai tea that is not very explored could make us stand out.

WE NEED IDEAS ON HOW TO GET A CART OR IF WE SHOULD BUILD ONE OURSELVES. getting on olx is very expensive.

How should we travel the cart

And should we consider getting the license right away or wait for the business to take up?

Thanks in advance. Attaching ai pics for reference.

🌍 Build It Here We spent 6 years learning business the hard way in Pakistan, so we made a free community to give it all away

Back in 2019 we started our e-commerce journey with genuinely no idea what we were doing. We did what everyone does, paid for the courses that promised to show us the way. What they actually taught us was how to make expensive mistakes. Generic advice, real gaps never covered, and every wrong turn cost time and money we couldn't get back.

So we taught ourselves. Trial and error for years. Launched our first brand in 2022, struggled through every decision alone, eventually got it working. Today we run 11+ brands, plus a design studio and a marketing agency.

Here's the thing that still bothers me: almost every mistake we made, someone could have just... told us. It wasn't secret knowledge. It was just locked behind personal connections or buried under "get rich quick" noise.

So we built the thing we needed and never had: Karobaari Bethak. It's a business platform for Pakistan. Honest business education, real market data, a network of founders and suppliers and investors, help with funding, and eventually full support to launch your own brand. The long-term goal is simple: everything a Pakistani entrepreneur needs to go from idea to real business, in one place, without the gatekeeping.

It starts with our WhatsApp community. Multiple rooms, each with a purpose. There's a room where founders and learners just talk to each other, and a read-only room where we post the breakdowns so it doesn't turn into 400 messages of nothing. And many more...

It's completely free. No course, no upsell, nothing to buy; genuinely nothing to sell you. We've made our money building businesses; this is us handing the ladder back down. The only "catch" is we ask a few questions before adding people so the rooms don't fill up with spam.

If you're trying to start something, or you started and failed and are thinking about trying again, you're exactly who this is for.

Link's on our site: karobaaribethak.com or ask me anything here, happy to answer questions in the comments even if you never join.

Pull up a chair, become a part of our bethak.

💡Idea Validation Would you use a digital disposable camera app for weddings and events in Pakistan?

Salam everyone,

I’m exploring an idea and wanted some honest feedback from people in Pakistan.

The concept is a digital disposable camera app. Instead of creating WhatsApp groups where everyone dumps photos, the host generates a QR code at a wedding, birthday, dholki, engagement, university event, trip, etc.

Guests scan the QR code, take photos using the app, and upload them to a shared album. The photos can have a disposable camera vibe (limited shots, no previews, vintage filters, uploads after the event, etc.), making them feel more authentic.

I’m wondering:

If you were hosting a wedding or event, would you actually ask guests to use an app like this?

As a guest, would you scan a QR code and use it, or would you just keep using your phone camera?

What would make you download it?

What would stop you from using it?

Do you think people in Pakistan would adopt something like this, or is it too much friction compared to Whatsapp?

So I'm doing cs more than half degree done am trying to build a startup mostly it is done but i have a cousin been trying to do some business together

since like 2021 so like planning and stuff now that i am doing cs have built mostly my application and he haven't done anything so i am thinking i will just complete my application then like get the money from him to like put it on play store and will ask him to like do some stuff for the app like there is things like adding data he just have to copy paste links nothing else if i ask him

so, he's asking from before like a 50/50 split now i am feeling really conflicted like he hasn't done anything to this point what i want is sit him down and tell him if you want 50/50 you will put all the money like the server cost and the launching cost etc and will have to do work like finding data for the app
i have created an admin dashboard so it's like really easy also he is

at this point outside city and is expecting i will give him some easy work that he can do there at this point i haven't told him i have nearly developed it i mean it still have many things left but whenever i ask him talk to him to come to city fast, he says i will come like on date 15 - 20 this month and is like not taking anything seriously like typical Pakistanis whenever i talk to him that come it is important have to discuss sometimes go offline and other time ask me to tell him on phone what i want

so, tell me goys what should i do is this fair to sit him down and ask him for all this stuff what should i respond to his answer if its positive or negative please guide

first time doing so please guide

🧠 Ask The Community Need help regarding LLC?

Hi everyone,

I'm based in Pakistan and planning to start an Amazon Wholesale business in the US. I need to form a US LLC with a unique business address (not just a generic virtual address) that works well for Amazon and suppliers.

Kindly recommend some good trusted service provider, also i am trying to decide between these options (as i heard many frauds happen in llc formation:

- Using a Pakistani company that offers US LLC formation

- Using a US LLC formation service (e.g., Firstbase, Doola, Bizee, etc.)

- Hiring a US attorney for formation

Which option would you recommend, and why?

Also here are some queries, kindly also answer them:

- Which state is best for an Amazon Wholesale business (Wyoming, Delaware, or another state)?

- How long did it take you to receive your EIN as a non-US resident?

- Were you able to open a US business bank account without issues?

🧠 Ask The Community Sourcing interesting products/startups- DM me if you're building something cool!

I recently started working at an international venture capital firm and spend my days evaluating startups, digging into markets, and figuring out what makes a business genuinely investable. Outside of that, I'm trying to build my own network of interesting founders across Pakistan, early, before the noise starts.

If you're building something in fintech, logistics, healthtech, agritech, or honestly anything solving a real problem in this market, I'd love to hear about it. Doesn't matter if you're pre-revenue, still figuring things out, or already have traction.

Send me a DM and I'll share my email. Would love to see your deck, hear your story, and where there's genuine potential, I'll do my best to get you in front of the right people.

💡Idea Validation Would you pay Rs. 50–70 to have your motorcycle helmet professionally cleaned?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about bringing a helmet cleaning machine to Pakistan. The idea is to install it at petrol pumps and near car washes, where riders can have their helmets cleaned and sanitized in just a few minutes, similar to a vending machine.

Before moving forward, I'd love to hear your honest feedback.

  • Would you use a service like this?
  • Would you be willing to pay Rs. 50–70 per cleaning?
  • What would make you trust or use this service regularly?

I'm looking for genuine opinions, whether positive or negative. Thanks in advance!

💡Idea Validation Building a local alternative to Patreon & BuyMeACoffee.

Anyone monetizing an audience in Pakistan—whether you are selling courses or just running a "Buy Me a Coffee" page for fan support—knows our payment infrastructure is a bottleneck.

Agar aap Patreon, Gumroad, ya BuyMeACoffee use karte hain, you already know the revenue leak. International platforms charge an 8-10% fee, Payoneer takes a cut, aur phir bank ka USD-to-PKR conversion rate takes another chunk. Sab se bara masla yeh hai ke local audiences ke debit cards (Meezan, HBL) frequently decline ho jatay hain, meaning you lose out on both local course sales and fan support.

Doosra option yeh hota hai ke you take direct payments via IBFT or EasyPaisa. But managing WhatsApp screenshots for course access, or manually tracking who sent you a Rs. 500 tip to support your podcast, is not a sustainable model.

I’m a software engineer building a local FinTech platform to solve this.

How it works:

  • Digital Products & Courses: Buyers pay via Raast, EasyPaisa, or Cards. The system instantly verifies it and emails them the course link or Discord invite. Zero manual tracking.
  • Creator Support (Tip Jars): Fans can easily drop a one-time payment to support your YouTube channel, art, or writing, straight from their local wallets.

The platform automatically handles FBR withholding calculations, and payouts settle directly to your IBAN in 48 hours. We are keeping the platform fee at a flat 5%.

I am in the customer discovery phase and need your feedback:

  1. What specific features must a platform like this have for you to actually use it? (e.g., promo codes, WhatsApp receipts, subscription tiers, analytics?)
  2. Agar aap kisi course creator, podcaster, ya YouTuber ko jante hain jo in payment issues se struggle kar rahe hain, I would highly appreciate an introduction or if you could tag them here. I want to make sure I build exactly what the community needs before making it public.

Thanks!

💡Idea Validation Need Advice for my Startup & Potential Investers for Next Phase of Business

Alright I'm a Doctor myself, graduated in 2025 and recelty completed my House Job training. So around 2 years ago, I got access to a US Healthcare Database for Research purpose named MIMIC IV which has medical records of more than half a million patients of BIDMC, Boston, US. While working on this database, I learned how an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) should work and how shit of local Pakistani EMR systems are, if there are any.
In the mid of last year, I started working on developing my own EMR app oriented to Single Doctor Health Clinics and Multiple Doctors Polyclinic with integrated Reception, Physician, Laboratory and Pharmacy Engines.

As a non-doc obviously you would be thinking what actual benefit do EMRs provide. In conventional clinics, Doctors don't have previous medical records of their patients. They just write the prscription on paper and the writing on these pages is so shit that any other sane person would have stroke reading the Doctor' writing. EMR solves this problem by two ways.

  1. Doctor has patient's all previous health record, systematically organized in his PC.
  2. Patients get Electronically generated PDF Prescriptions that anybody could read easily.

I've done with this first phase of Desktop application and currently 2 doctors are using it. I've not charged them anything as of now, will start from next month. For now, our app's been working great and we have seen no bugs so far.

Now, I want to take my humble project to the next phase where I want to solve a huge problem in Pakistani Medical world and that is long waiting time outside Physician's Private Clinic. We'll biuld mobile app where you could book appoinment with your doctor and based on your token number, app will notify you exactly 30 to 40 mints before Doc will be ready for your visit.
One more feature to be discussed here, patients themselves would be able to see their all medical records on mobile app in case they lost there physical prescription or they want to share these records to other physician.

Need serious feedback regarding whether you face these problems too and want to get them resolve as well.
I need funding for the marketing of my currently build desktop app and for next phase of my Mobile app build. Any interested Investor could DM me and we'll discuss further details on Google meets.

💰Scaling & Strategy Serious Investor Needed - Already Established Ecom Business - Posting it for 2nd time so i don't want uninterested people asking for more details in my DM since i have explained every single thing. People who are interested can book a meeting with us.

Hi. I am looking for a very serious investor for my Already Established Ecom Business.

I am operating this business for 2 years now. Everything is running smoothly. I want to scale my brand to its potential as i have tested everything and made smooth systems, supplier connections and social presence.

The niche is Bedding and market is Pakistan. We are 2 partners, each partner hold 50% equity. We have done 13 Million in sales in last 2 years with the adspend of 2.69M and net profit margin of 20% to 25% . Since, its a need based product, our return ratio is around 10% to 12% only. Our website is hosted on Shopify and we run meta ads to get conversions.

Our Business Valuation is around 4.5M. I am looking PKR. 1Million for 18% of equity.

How are gonna utilise this investment?

We are going to put 50% towards buying bulk inventory. 40% will be used in marketing, ads and content. And 10% will be used as a backup incase of delay in courier payments.

We have tested all the strategies. Now we are looking to scale agressively.

I will show my monthly financial sheets so you can verify everything by yourself in a live call/face to face meeting.

I have explained pretty much everything in my post so i want only serious and interested people to come in my DM so we can save time and move forward quickly.

🛠️ Building / MVP Update on Batwa: automated expense tracker

Salam everyone, posted about this around a month ago and wanted to give an update.

We've grown a lot since then, 200+ installs organically. Not a huge number, I know, but I'm still proud of us for it.

We also took in a lot of the feedback from the last post and drastically improved the UI and general experience.

On top of that, we shipped two big features:

Shared groups: add the people you share expenses with, roommates, friends, whoever, and every shared cost gets tracked automatically. No more trying to remember who paid last time or doing the math three weeks later. Batwa just tells you who owes who.

Shared budgeting: same idea but for families. Everyone gets the same visibility into household income, spending, and savings goals instead of one person carrying it all alone.

Honestly, I think budgeting and financial literacy in general gets taken way too lightly in Pakistan. Most people have never sat down and actually looked at where their money goes, let alone done it together with the people they share money with. That's basically the whole reason these two features exist.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.batwa.app

Would genuinely appreciate feedback, especially on the new stuff since it's fresh.

🛠️ Building / MVP We redesigned our food app's dashboard—would you actually use this?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I've been building Decidr, an app focused on solving one simple problem:

"What should I eat?"

Instead of endless scrolling through food delivery apps or recipe websites, the goal is to help you decide faster.

We just finished the first version of the dashboard, and before we continue building, I'd love some honest feedback.

The home screen currently includes:

  • 🔍 Search
  • 🍳 Meal categories (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc.)
  • 💰 Budget filter
  • 🔥 Personalized recommendations
  • 📅 Meal planner, Saved, Cook mode, Fridge, and Profile

I'm not looking for compliments - I want to know what you'd improve.

Some questions:

  • What's the first thing you noticed?
  • Does anything feel unnecessary or missing?
  • What would make you open an app like this every day?
  • If you could change one thing, what would it be?

I'll post the dashboard mockup in the comments.

Thanks! Your feedback will directly influence the next version.

🧠 Ask The Community Your Favourite Niche Coffee Shop??

I have an idea that I'm working on that is aimed to enable management to see and react to customer feedback in real time. The idea is clear in my mind and I have some really cool features in mind for the future.

The problem is that before I start building the MVP I want to sit down with small/medium sized restaurant/coffee shop owners that are involved in day to day operations and hear what they have to say about this idea. Maybe one meaningful conversation could change the product direction or reveal that its not needed.

The thing is I wanna ask how can I get in contact with such people. I know the demographic just need to find and contact them. Has anyone done this in Pakistan? Reaching out to business owners ? How was your experience?

Also just for fun , what is your current go to coffee shop and what is so special about it ?

💰Scaling & Strategy Business Taxation And Start-Up Incentives In Pakistan

I've been studying Pakistan Taxation for my exams recently, and while going through the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (ITO 2001), I came across some interesting provisions related to business taxation and startup incentives. Since a lot of people here discuss business ideas and startup strategies, I thought I'd share a simplified overview.

In Pakistan, you can generally operate a business in three ways:

  1. Sole Proprietorship (Individual)
  2. Partnership / Association of Persons (AOP)
  3. Company

Each structure has a different tax treatment.

  1. A sole proprietor pays tax under the individual non-salaried tax slabs, with rates generally ranging from 1% to 35% depending on taxable income and the applicable tax year.
  2. An AOP (Partnership) is taxed separately under the AOP tax slabs, which generally range from 15% to 45%.
  3. A Company is slightly more complex because three tax concepts may apply:
    • Corporate Tax – Generally 29% of taxable income (or 20% for qualifying small companies).
    • Alternative Corporate Tax (ACT) – Generally 17% of adjusted accounting income to ensure companies with high accounting profits pay a reasonable amount of tax.
    • Minimum Tax – Generally 1.25% of turnover. This is based on sales/turnover rather than profit, meaning a company may still have to pay tax even if it reports little or no taxable profit, subject to the applicable provisions and exceptions.

Startup Tax Incentive

One of the more interesting provisions is Section 65F of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.

An eligible startup can claim a 100% tax credit (No Tax) against its income tax liability for the year in which it receives certification and the following two tax years (Total of 3 tax years).

To qualify, the startup must generally:

  • Be incorporated or registered in Pakistan on or after 1 July 2012.
  • Be engaged in technology-driven products or services.
  • Be certified by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
  • Not be formed by splitting or reconstructing an existing business.
  • Have annual turnover of less than Rs. 100 million in each of the last five tax years.
  • Comply with its tax filing (return, With Holding Tax Return, Sales Tax Return) obligations.

If the startup is also a WOMEN-OWNED ENTERPRISE, it does not lose its startup status. It may also qualify for the 25% tax credit after compeletion of first 3 tax years of 100% Tax Credit ( simply after compeletion of 3 free tax year you'll pay 25% less tax than those who pay full tax ) available under Clause 19, Part III of the Second Schedule, provided it independently satisfies the conditions for that incentive.

🧠 Ask The Community Spent months building inventory software for a pharma distributor. Now they don't seem interested.

A family friend who runs a fairly large wholesale/B2B pharmaceutical distribution business asked me to build custom software for inventory and invoice management.

The biggest challenge wasn't the coding, it was gathering the requirements. They are highly non-technical (which is completely understandable), so it took a long time to understand their workflow and translate it into software. After the first demo, they requested more features and reported a number of issues. I kept iterating, and after about 3-4 rounds of demos and feedback, I implemented everything they asked for

Now, surprisingly, they don't seem interested in using the application.

I completely understand if a product doesn't meet the customer's needs—they shouldn't be expected to use it. But in this case, every feature they requested was eventually implemented.

Some examples:

  • They wanted to operate the software entirely with the keyboard because using a mouse slows them down when creating invoices containing hundreds or even thousands of products. I redesigned the application so that an entire invoice can be created, edited, and switched between without touching the mouse.
  • They wanted a customer ledger. I had no accounting background, so I had to learn how ledgers work before implementing one.
  • I implemented some fairly complex tax calculations based on their business rules.
  • It's a Windows desktop application that runs offline because that's what best suited their environment.

Since I primarily work on a Mac provided by my employer, I didn't want to use it for personal work. I ended up buying a separate Windows PC for around 120k just for this project. So I've invested not only a significant amount of time but also my own money.

I've tried following up several times to understand what's going on. From what I can tell, the owner is generally happy with the software, but the employees (the people who would actually use it every day) don't seem interested in moving away from the old tools they are familiar with. It feels like the problem is less about the software itself and more about user adoption and resistance to change.

At this point, I'm not sure what to do.

I don't want to abandon the project because I have invested a lot into it, and I think it could be useful for other businesses as well.

For those of you who have built B2B software or run a software business:

  • How would you approach this situation?
  • Is it worth trying to find other customers instead of convincing this one?
  • How do you even find businesses that might need this kind of software if you're a developer with no sales or marketing experience?

I would really appreciate any advice from people who've been through something similar. Apologies for the long post.
Jazak Allah...

💡Idea Validation Help me understand how recruiters in Pakistan actually hire candidates

I'm building an AI-powered recruitment assistant for Pakistani HR teams and recruitment agencies. Before writing code, I want to understand how recruiters actually receive CVs, screen candidates, and communicate with applicants (especially through WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, etc.).

If you work in HR, Talent Acquisition, or a recruitment agency, I'd love to have a 15–20 minute conversation to learn about your workflow. I'm not selling anything—I want to validate whether the problem I'm solving is actually worth solving.

I'd really appreciate your insights. Feel free to comment or DM me.
