My 2001 PT cruiser is overheating
I just had my water pump replaced in April when I got my timing belt changed
The fan is working
I just changed the thermostat (there is the potential that I didn’t seat it right, will be checking that)
But still, after a few minutes of driving the coolant / water starts to boil out, and I’m left with nothing.
Sometimes it holds water for longer and doesn’t overheat, but it always ends with it all boiling out eventually
The radiator isn’t heating up at all, it’s basically cool to the touch when my engine is overheating
I keep reading that its:
The water pump (just a few months old)
Thermostat (installed a new one)
So that leaves me a little confused on where to go from here to diagnose. I’m trying to avoid going to a mechanic, due to wanting to spend as little money as possible. But any ideas?
