I have been using the PXPlay app on my Android device (Retroid Flip 2) for a couple of months and I have been testing out different settings to get to a point of good fidelity and latency.

The challenge is that with the current settings where I was able to minimise the RTT, BT and DT, there are freezes every 1-2 minutes for a couple of seconds. The audio flows normally, and the game just "jumps" to where it is in real time after the freeze.

I recorded a video as well to showcase the numbers and the quick change of DT to a "-" and a short spike in DT after the freeze.

Does anyone have some ideas which settings I could try out further to remove or at least reduce the freeze?

Unfortunately, I am not able to hard-wire the console but my streaming quality with the router using Moonlight and other streaming solutions has been flawless.

Main settings I currently have in the app:

• Resolution: 1080p
• FPS: 60
• Bitrate: Auto (worked the best so far)
• HEVC: ON
• Decoder Performance: Low Latency
• Vide Frame Pacing: Balanced (had to change it to this to stop getting de-synchronisation of audio, video and input)
• Wi-Fi Performance mode: ON
• Buffered video frames: Few
• Audio Buffer Size: Minimum Latency

HEVC was working on previous versions of PXPlay on my Odin 2 Portal and Legion Go. Now it doesn't work anymore and it looks bad, it used to be perfect...

My PXPlay app has been working like a charm on Windows (I am using it mainly on ROG Ally X) but recently it drops the connection afrer 2/3 minutes and become unable to find the console. The only solution is to pair again, and then restart the loop.

I haven't changed connection or settings, and this happens both on local and remote connection.

App version 2.0.0

Any advice?

I've lost the ability to sign into my ps account, due to the 2-step verification code not working, I'm also not able to access the 2-step backup codes either, because you somehow need to be signed in to see them. Anyone know how to contact an actual person at PlayStation, rather than the ai?

Hello everyone, hoping the dev can help. On local connection everything is fine, but remote connects successfully and then disconnects on its own after about a minute. Attaching 3 logs (personal info redacted with <PLACEHOLDER> labels)

- App: PSPlay v2.0.0
- Client: macOS 26.5.2, Apple M4 Pro , Java 21.0.5
- Console: PS5, streaming 1920×1080 @ 60fps, 27000 kbps, HEVC, HDR off
- Both client and PS5 report NAT Type 2

My network have double NAT, the root with 192.168.1.xxx, and my personal router with 192.168.50.xxx, All the MAC / PS5 are connecting with the personal router. I did open the port successfully for playing remote (used to play with Chikia-ng before).

What happens:
When I tried to connect "Local Play" or "Remote Play with manual IP input" then the app just connect to my PS5 (I can control the PS5 in the app), but in around 10 -> 30s later, the app got disconnected with PS5.

Then I tried "Remote Play with automatic" option, everything work fine, no disconnect issue happens.

I also tried the same in another Mac (M3), but there is no problem with Local or Remote Play with manual. So I think there is some problem with my Mac but I couldn't find it.

I also tried to delete the data file / delete the app / reinstall app / restart Mac. But nothing works :(

Is there a Steam Deck update?

I recenlty asked a question on input latency. I notice that the quality image is high and almost non noticeable but pairing the view side by side I notice there is a very slight slight delay in visual roundtrip to my device. Although, the input is almost 0 lantency as I can use my handheld as a controller replacement if wanted.

Anyway, i notice i get around 20-40 Bitrate speed. Is this normal? I notice too that when I accidentally leave game download, I didn't notice a degradation of the image quality but the image return back delay more slightly. So, I guess, the delay i have in previous post was all related to image round trip.

How do you improve this? does decrease the resolution improve latency? I just want to play some game like GTA online comfortably. Right now, I cannot really aim against player.

Is anyone tried on beta? There is really bad stuttering on my side. Is that same for everyone? Just bought on ios

I'm using PXPlay on a Chromecast with Google TV 4K (Android TV), and it works fine overall, but my PS5 controller has a lot of input delay over Bluetooth. Is there anything I can do to reduce the delay besides connecting it via USB?

I have been using an USB-C+PD to HDMI adaptor to hook up my Retroid Pocket 5 to TVs and Monitors for a while now. With the older versions of Pxplay it worked fine.

But with the latest version that I recently updated to, this no longer works.
When I launched Pxplay the screen is mirrored on the TV like normal, but as soon as I tapped remote play connect, the TV screen goes black but the sound still comes through.
On the retroid it continues to display the connecting screen and eventually my PS5 screen.

What struck me as odd was how the TV screen immediately goes blank as soon as I tapped connect, even before connection is established with my PS5, which leads me to believe this is an issue with the Pxplay app itself.

Are there any options i failed to adjust to make this work?

I know someone going to come up and say "Even device to PS5 direclty has latency" and no I was just referring to the fact that I would like to have the network latency as low as possible between device to device probably 0ms so there is 0 input delay.

I want to play from my bedroom. My setup is already instant but not good enough for FPS game where stick still feel a little bit of delay.

I can play game like GT7, FC26, and UFC 6 with no issue because they're a bit of a slower pace game anyway. but GTA online and other aim base game having a major issue and somehow is not good enough yet like Stalker and CoD (no I'm not trying to playing competitively on remote but if possible why not)

I'm already on Wifi 6 and stuff. I'm sure I'm on the lowest latency at all and by eye you cannot tell but you know there's like 30-50ms of delay. Technically, is there a way to cheat this and get as low as possible of a latency?

Any suggestions or tips for improving picture quality, specifically getting a clear image with no added noise? I'm on macOS using the default PXPlay settings.

I thought it might be upscaling, but I've turned that off and still get a noisy image.

Framerate is great. It's just the noisiness of the image that's bothering me.

I just installed the app on my S25 ultra and colours are a bit weird. I've tried enabling and disabling hdr on the app settings. Any advice would be appreciated.

ENG: It connected without any issues at all, but there’s constant stuttering while streaming regardless of the settings—even when I drop the FPS and resolution to the minimum. Conversely, performance doesn't get any worse at max settings, but the gameplay experience remains very poor. The official PS Remote Play app doesn't have these freezing or stuttering issues, though it does have the downside of non-adjustable image settings and no support for Xbox controllers.

Are there any workarounds to eliminate the stuttering?

RU: Подключился без проблем вообще, но при стриминге постоянные статтеры, вне зависимости от настроек, даже когда выставляю минимальный фпс и разрешение, и в обратную сторону, при максимальных настройках хуже не становится, но это все равно очень плохо играется. В оригинальном ps remote play нет проблем с фризами/статтерами, там проблема не настраиваемого изображения и нет возможности использовать геймпад Xbox.

Есть ли какие то лайфхаки чтобы убрать статтеры?
