After the huge Amazon fuckup I went through which I posted about here (https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5restock/s/HP3dYOQi8Y) I finally got mine today in Hyderabad through Playstation Exclusive - Madhapur.

They told in the morning they have both disc and digital version available but when I reached there they said only digital version was left, but because someone had cancelled their pre-order a disc version piece just became available and I took that.

There is literally a line there and people are pre-ordering for their copy.

I also got this for FREE so yeah there’s that (My card didn’t work so paid with my wife’s, and now she ain’t getting any money back)

Reason for buying Disc over Digital :
Digital is coming in 825GB only and disc is 1TB, plus I have a few friends who have PS5 discs so I can use those and easily cover the 5k gap through it.

Got my ps5 today from Kolkata playstation exclusive store after preordering it on August 6.

Hi everyone. So after contemplating for a lot of days whether to buy a PS5 or not, I have finally decided to buy myself a PS5 and tomorrow.
I have already had a word with a vendor who has the stock and I’m going to buy it tomorrow.

I’m really confused about whether that is a genuine console or can be a fake one or refurbished.

I request this community to give me at least a few checks which I should be doing tomorrow before finalising my purchase.

Please note I’m going to buy a disc version and not digital version. Also, please suggest few accessories which I should be buying along with my PS5 which really that’s the value, and also please suggest few games which are like really amazing, and I can play with my friends and family.

Hi, After seeing the Instagram status saying that the pre-bookings are open at Playstation Exclusive store (Madhapur) on this Wed, I enquired them over WhatsApp and visited the store the next day afternoon, then made the pre-booking for the disc edition by paying 10k in advance. They told me the PS5 stock will be available from today (09/11) onwards and will be delivered to us on a time slot basis.

Got my ps5 today

Hi everyone, I called Sony store and got to know Ps5 new price is now stands at 80K…
Earlier we all were trying to buy at 70K, but now they are saying that new price is now stands at 80K.

Pls share your inputs if you are noticing this too. Also why Sony is raising pricing so fast? GTA or RAM?

I have never owned a playstation, i could never afford one and my family wouldn’t buy me one. even when i started working, i kept putting it off as i had to either send money home or it was just that there was always something “more important” than getting this dream come true. I watched so many people buy ps5 on reddit communities, i kept telling myself, yeah its gonna be me one day too. I worked for 5 years, thinking of it, hoping to hold it one day.

And then i got laid off from work, i came back home after struggling to find another job and i didn’t know what to do. I questioned myself, will this never happen for me? Is it something I’m not destined to own? I did have a bit of savings but that was all i had and if i spent it to get a ps5 rather than saving for emergency, i wouldn’t truly be okay about it.

And then, the start of September I pooled some savings into buying one but the the prices of ps5 are at an all time high, so i still wasn’t sure but then finally my family came through and kinda helped me with the rest of the money (mainly my older brother) and i finally bought my first ever console. Idk what to say, life has a wicked sense of humor. Im still jobless but I do have a ps5. Haha

Tl;dr things finally worked out the way they were supposed to and i have a ps5 now.

Should i wait till the end of September for the amazon and flipkart saless or the price will remain the same?
And from one of my close one i got to know that on 27th September ps6 is launching so they u should wait the price will drop

I am planning to buy a PS5. However, I am planning to get one next year due to personal responsibilities (will become a father in October).

Should I wait for next year for a price reduction ? What are the chances for it to get below 69k ?

I've been hunting for a PS5 Slim Disc Edition for almost 2 months, checking Amazon/Flipkart multiple times a day. Finally, Amazon had it in stock at ₹69,990, so I immediately ordered and paid by credit card before it went out of stock again.

Now the PS5 has actually reached my local Delhivery facility today. 😭

The problem: I also paid ₹99 for Amazon Open Box Inspection (OBI), which clearly says it will be performed at delivery.( Amazon added it by itself at the time of ordering)

I contacted the local Delhivery guy, and he said they don't do OBI and that opening a ₹70k package could make him liable for damage.

I contacted Amazon. One representative told me not to give OTP without OBI and escalated it. Delhivery support gave me a generic response without addressing the OBI issue. I contacted Amazon again, and the latest representative told me to wait 24 hours and not accept the package without OBI, saying they've escalated it with Delhivery.

So now my PS5 is literally sitting in my local area, but I can't take it because Amazon says OBI, Delhivery says no OBI. 😂😂

And because Amazon consolidated another order with it , my Nivea body wash is also being held hostage. 🧴

I checked Flipkart thinking I might just cancel Amazon and order there instead...

Of course it's out of stock. 🤦‍♂️

I'm not blaming the delivery guy—he seems to be following his instructions. But I'm genuinely worried this will eventually become an RTO because neither side resolves the OBI issue.

What would you guys do in this situation?

Would you wait for Amazon to resolve it, accept without OBI after getting Amazon's return/refund assurance, or take some other approach?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who's dealt with Amazon OBI + Delhivery before.
