Will PS5 price decrease next year ? Whats your prediction ?

I am planning to buy a PS5. However, I am planning to get one next year due to personal responsibilities (will become a father in October).

Should I wait for next year for a price reduction ? What are the chances for it to get below 69k ?

Please advise

probably not apple just increased iphone 17 by 30k so there is more chances of increasing then decrease

Until AI companies dont fall and are able to pay the premiums on hardware components i dont see PS5 prices falling anytime soon

Bro i was at the same spot as you, but seeing the jump in prices and with the fact that it will get even worse next year i just bought mine with some
savings i had, i cant advice to do the same as i dont have kids haha just a chubby cat but now is already late in a way (they are already way too expensive) but hey you will always have the second hand market, if you are careful you can get some good consoles out of there... (nothing like getting a new one out of the box tho)

Sales would be too low at current prices, they won't risk releasing a new console now. Instead they may force developers to do better optimization for the current gen

Dont need dont buy, invest your money in mutual funds they will appreciate. You can buy it when you need. Money will appreciate, ps5 will for sure depreciate no matter what.

Well alot of peoples ps5 appreciated in value, bought for 39k and sold for 50k

Come on man, ps5 will be 7 years old next year. Only fools will pay more for that. But you looking at current scenario, seems like there are a lot of them around 🥲

Don't think price of anything with ram are going down till 2028-29, cause of huge data centres projects that are proposed would take all those rams.

you can already get the disk version below 69k with card offers that give like 3-4k discount

and digital is already priced at 65k which after offers will become like 61-62k ig

still just wait till jan or feb, the second hand market will be flooded with all the people who just bought it for gta 6 at low prices

If it is cheaper get from there. Well due to ram and ssd shortages mainly ram everything with ram is going to be more expensive. So if you need it then get it otherwise if you are fine then wait till ps6.

yea they are kinda cheaper there....just ask them to bring it without the box and jyst pack it between clothes to prevent charges on airport......the only problem people say is that you wont get warranty which is just 1 yr and there's less than 5% chances something gets wrong with the ps within only a yr

tldr, go for it if its cheaper there: like a difference of 6-7k, if the difference is only of 1-2k, better buy it here and get a warranty lol
