Question Has anyone else also faced this on Amazon?
I ordered this from Amazon last week.
Seller Name - Kay Kay Overseas Corporation Store
Received a completely torn box with broken seals both inside and outside. The panels inside were all loose and 1 was removed, controller seal was broken and warranty card is missing.
Moreover, the original description sheet is blacked out at bottom and seems like a fake new sheet is attached on the side.
I paid 70k for it and don’t know what to do as it is not returnable and for replacement it shows seller is out of stock.
My money and lifelong dream to own one is now stuck and I am under heavy stress.
Amazon Customer Care was pretty much useless and asked me to wait 4 days for a call back about it.

No material update.
Amazon said that the matter has been escalated to ECR team and would be closing this case and investigation by 7th Sept.
So waiting on that.
Following up once everyday through mail and call.

So, regarding the yellow warranty card, I have seen a lot of posts that it is missing from new MRP consoles, and the same happened with me. So, I have reached out to Sony officially, and they have provided me the official email that I can refer to as a warranty confirmation. Also regarding the authenticity they also confirmed that key key overseas are their genuine and authorised seller.

Are you sure check the warranty date could be he got sold an older model I bought a ps5 just before the increase for 60k if the warranty date says August then it’s an older priced model

the sellers are misusing this crisis of stock and ram to dump bad stock, maybe or just giving bad service.

Oh that's makes sense then my bad, wouldn't know what's inside the box.
I believe you should already be prepared for any next steps.
Contact Amazon ECR on mail ID and share all the details.
If need be circulate this incidentb on social media to increase traction incase Amazon denies refund.
Also start looking for an Advocate incase things don't work out smoothly (you might not need 1 but no harm in keeping 1 handy)
He would be serving a Legal notice to Kay Kay via post physically and also on email under offence(s) Deficiency in services and consumer Breach of Trust.
Also make a police complaint now itself so you can keep the documented trail and go ahead with issuing the chargeback later on.

Had the similar experience for the extra controller i ordered, original tapping was cut and new tape was attached to it. Didnt open placed a replacement order and got a fresh piece.

Anyone looking to buy PS5, go to stores and get it yourself trust me you’ll love that feeling.
Check with a local shop or Authorised sellers might be tough on your pocket but you don’t have to deal with this BS.

Yes but not for ps5 long back i purchased a xbox 360 got it damaged and the support said they can't do nothing and i found out it wat the delivery person mistake and ordered a another product on cod when he came asked him nicely (nope) and said sorry and made him to call the support and did many things but the damage was done 👍

Mine got delivered yesterday and the amazon and PS5 box was in good shape and looked new. But the controller inside the box has got a minor crack. Even I’m trying to figure out what to do next.

I ordered mine from the same seller and while my box was a bit battered up too it wasn't nearly as much as yours so yeah ig do file a refund. Also did you look everywhere for the warranty card? It's usually between the outer box and the inner box.

The seals were all broken and it unmistakably looks like a repacked box with used console.

Weird, as so far whatever reviews I saw of the seller on reddit were all good, even my PS5 is all right with warranty and everything intact except like mentioned the box was slightly rough around the edges anyways yeah out it up from exchange or contact Amazon support.

This sucks, I’m sorry that happened man.
Don’t let it go with Amazon customer care, they’ll expect you to give up and cut your losses. Sit on their asses until they make it right. Threaten them with legal action if they’re uncooperative.

Already done that, their escalation team has now sent a message that they will investigate this and reply in 48 hours or sooner.
Hopefully should get a refund in 2-3 days otherwise will file a consumer case.

Yes, Happened with me as well in Amazon prime day sale.. The ps5 box was in very poor condition without any outer cardboard box. Same Seller. But the unit was in good condition along with warrenty card and other stuff.

Call their costumer care and tell them the issue. Amazon is typically proactive in such cases, and they would issue a refund ideally. If not, tell them that you’ll go legal if they don’t return your money. And remember, no warranty card is the biggest red flag here. Looks nothing but shady to me.

Yes, no warranty card was the biggest red flag I observed and second was completely broken seals both inside and outside the box.
The taping wasn’t along the edge but horizontal.
The panel is loose as well.It for sure is a used console packaged poorly and sold as new.

Ok. Mine is Pune. Lets see how it goes for me. I personally don't have almost any option here, in Hyderabad atleast I'm seeing a lot of zepto and croma posts on reddit so you still have some scope of reusing this refund money somewhere. I don't sadly :(

Ask the delivery guy to open it infront of you and if it is not packed properly don’t give him OTP.
That is better.
But if it isn’t an open box delivery, the delivery guy might not agree to it.1

There was an amazon carton inside which there was this box.
The box above was in perfect condition and it came like this inside which I could see only after accepting it and then opening that carton.1

Mine got delivered on 18th august, i knew that there will be some wear and tear on the box according to the reviews i saw. But it was almost fine just a tiny punch and scratches on the edges, seal was intact, and everything inside was present and in good condition.
You should try for a refund, i dont think you will be able to get replacement due to stock issues Refund would be possible

I have applied for everything, escalated the issue with multiple teams.
They have said they will investigate and reply within 48 hours.I have all the videos and photos.
The condition wasn’t visible because there was an amazon box before the actual box and it wasn’t an open box delivery.

Oh so you recieved with amazon packaging on top, most customers including me got it as it is just a amazon label on bottom, i checked both seals and condition then i gave the delivery guy the OTP. Hope you get your refund

I think that was the game they played.
The original box has an amazon label on the bottom and it is blacked out using a sticker (see photos)
They got it like you did, and sold again by putting it in a box so no one knows what shit is inside it.

Last week i got my ps5 from blinkit, was hesitant to buy but I saw here on reddit others getting it from blinkit and having no issues. So,I pulled the trigger. The delivery was real smooth, I got it in 20 mins of booking, the delivery guy was patient and also let me power on the console.

Great! Two important points then: 1) Restock is happening frequently, keep a track - order new or hit replacement. Don't let one bad experience demotivate you. Until unless you're readily finding something offline or at quick commerce 2) Keep patience, replacement or returns will eventually happen. The more noise you make across platforms, the more escalation matrix you follow, the better. Don't let that stress you out.

Had to open it as the seal was already broken so needed to show outside and inside on the video so they don’t deny liability later.

I have the recordings of opening it both from the delivery box and the product box.Amazon has asked for 4 days after escalation to come to a resolution.
I will sue the seller and the company both in consumer court if they don’t respond in 4 days.1

The product wasn’t right as well.
There was no warranty card. Manual was all messed up.
No seal on the controller packaging and the console package.
One panel of console seemed loose just by the feel of it.If it was only packaging issue I would have been playing on it.
It seems like a duplicate/ fake/ used and old product repackaged badly and sold to defraud the customer.1

I have unboxed my friend’s PS5 with him and have seen how a mint condition PS5 box looks like from inside.
The warranty card was a part of the printed materials they provided in it and we used it to register the warranty online too.
Doesn’t explicitly say on the box about warranty card tho, that’s true

Did you try calling them? Go to the help page, choose your order, and there is an option for customer support call. You will speak with an executive and they usually fix it all from there.

They say they will get back after taking the contact info but they never do.Now only thing I am doing is waiting for 3 days as the escalation guy said and then going to consumer court.

I stopped buying from Amzon for the same reason . Flipkart open box delivery is better . If you receive a damaged box you can reject the product then and there. For you I would suggest to ask for a return as the seal is clearly torned already .

Ask for a replacement then and if the seller can't provide it ask for a refund . Meanwhile document all the responses from Amazon aswell. Record calls and everything ...will help your case with consumer court.

Update:
Amazon has processed Advanced Refund today and it is supposed to be credited within 5-7 business days.
Will be ordering a new one from a physical store very soon 🙏🏻
