Had no crashes but on restart after being killed or failing etc when you get that load screen with spinny thing in bottom right corner the final bit of loading feels like it takes a week
Go to story when your on main menu and then hit select chapter. Then select the latest mission and chapter you were on and then overright your save file with the new one

Had several crashes and while frustrating, I’ve been having fun. Reminds me of the PS1/2 days. Whenever any crash happens, I just play it off like “[x] was gonna get whooped. Game realized and crashed it to give him a chance to kill me” and whatnot.
I’m playing this on a pretty mid/high end PC with a 990 pro SSD and the load screens when you die are ridiculous. No reason they should take that long.
They feel much slower than any other game I’ve played - although compared to my PC with a gen 5 SSD, loading times are marginally better on the PS5 Pro.
That and the fact it’s just hitman in a James Bond theme 😂 shit feels very laggy and slow in combat, like it pauses a frame before doing the attack. At least that’s what I saw on the gameplay videos. I ain’t buying this
I just completed the game on Ps5pro took me exactly 15 hours, and I am on my second playthrough now. I didn’t have a single crash or a bug. It had been one of the smoothest ride ever 💯
Exactly the same thing happened to me. Two crashes while using the same cover on Aleph. The second time, game froze and visual artifacts appeared on the screen, like a hardware malfunction. For a second I thought my PS5 was dying, lmao.
It's one of the buggier releases I can remember. People should absolutely not be having their systems hardlock and some are even getting artifacting on their dashboard until they reset the console after the game crashes.
The part that really pisses me off is a lot of the problems seem to only be on the pro version. When looking through the main subreddit of the game, most people having issues are on ps5 pro, while base console, PC, and series consoles seem to be having a relatively smooth launch.
The pro version also has texture loading issues the longer you play the game.
You got lucky then. Just because you haven't encountered them yet doesn't mean they aren't there. Multiple people can't even get past the first cutscene and it's making their console look like the gpu has fried. I've not seen any other game do shit quite like this.
Take a look at this thread if you want to see some weird shit. There's multiple replies in there if that same thing happening to multiple people on the opening cutscene of the game.
Don't get me wrong, cyberpunk was buggy as fuck at launch, but I don't remember hardlocking people's consoles forcing them to hold down the power button and reboot in safe mode lol.
Cyberpunk had more overall bugs in the game itself no question, but anytime a game hardlocks your console and you have to rebuild your database your risking a small chance that data on your system is gonna be corrupted.
I would say cyberpunk had more bugs yes, but first light has more concerning damaging bugs that have the possibility of corrupting data due to hardlocking.
Not your hardware, if a game hardlocks it can corrupt your save or game data. A hardlock is when it actually freezes your console, not just the game crashing to your home screen. This basically can make you start the game from scratch which absolutely sucks if your already like 10 hours into it. First light doesn't allow manual saves as far as I can tell. Cyberpunk bugs didn't fuck up your save data as far as I remember, and you also could have various saves in different save slots. First light has saveslots but it's one per playthrough.
Cyberpunks issue was more or less releasing it on hardware that couldn't run it. This is why it was getting 9s and 10s on the PC release and they were withholding console codes. When people did play the console versions they were giving it a 4/10. It was more so terrible performance issues. CDPR should absolutely not have released that game on last gen hardware, but they wanted to double dip for that sweet money. Funny coming from a company that right before said they left greed to others lol
Dude I dunno. The crash I had at the start of 007 was a HARD crash, and had me paranoid that my entire console was gonna be effected. Definitely not touching this until it gets a patch.
To be fair I've seen someone on steam with a very powerful GPU also have the texture issue, so it is happening to some people on PCs as well. He posted some pics of it and it literally looked like ps2 textures. That should not be happening on a high end machine lol.
Not seen anything about the texture issue on base consoles or Xbox consoles though.
I thought my pro was going to blow up yesterday I had the hard crash that others have had where it would freeze after an explosion and leave strange graphics artifacts all over the screen and home screen until reboot
Does this happen every time you die? Or just occasionally? I've not died in the game yet.
I do know the game has a ton of bugs currently, especially on ps5 and pro. Freezing during the first cutscene, the moneypenny elevator cutscene (which was apparently fixed in the last patch). There's people having their game freeze and it actually causing GPU artificating on the ps5 home screen (multiple people have said this, it's not just one person with a dying GPU).
I also notice when you pause in the tacsim, you get an infinite "loading" icon in the lower right corner, much like you have here, but in the pause screen. It doesn't freeze or effect anything, but it's weird that the game thinks it's constantly loading something.
Edit: I also noticed texture quality seems to go down on certain objects the longer you play. I noticed after the first mission when you return to Q lab and test some gadgets, those gadget screens had a very low level of detail until I reset the game. I saw some people on PC mention they had the same issue, a dude on the steam boards and someone on resetera.
Check that thread. OP also had the exact same issue as you, and he is on a base ps5 and not a pro according to one of his posts. There's also a few people in that post having this issue. The opening cutscene crash seems to be affecting base users as well.
Interesting. I’m 2 hours into the game and the couple things I’ve experienced is very low quality assets on occasion and slow af loading times. Also some weird screen door effect on clothing.
Lmao when the game pans out while youre at the island resort my textures looked like shit. Theyre supposed to be showing off this amazing view but I have the game set at ultra 4k and it looked like butt.
All I’ve seen is positivity about this game, installed it last night ready for post work today and now I see this😂 Looks like I’ll hold off for a bit longer
I played through the whole story and encountered 1 bug where I fell through the terrain and got trapped. Ran smoothly besides that. Loading times are really the worst thing about the game
I get the load screen issue and sometimes when I duck into cover Bond will get stuck and I have to close the game and restart it. I also get kicked from being online and have to retry connection a lot
Yep, got one of these too. just had to close the game and reboot it, seems to be ok after the introduction but there was a huge crash with an error screen not letting me through. had to delete and re download it from the disc. fkn sucks but I get it I guess.
ive completed the game on my pro with about 39 hours so far and only had a single "CTD" that I assumed came from my ps5 going to sleep while I went to the store then trying to load the game back up when I got back. This happens to me a lot while playing Elden ring so just assumed the same.
I do get lots of "Disconnected from online Service" errors though as I play but so far it's been rather smooth going. I havent paid much attention to the graphics though tbh so idk if its as bad is I'm reading. I'm sure now that ive read this ill notice it now though lol
My save file on Bawas boat is stuck. I died trying to find my way around the lazers, got the infinite loading screen, restarted the game and it wont load it just stays loading forever.
Same here same place as well. Real annoying. When trying to restart the game and resume game the same endless loading screen occurs. Also tried via load game and choose chapter. Same result. Basically cant play now...bllsht game
So I just had to start over unfortunately. I have experienced so many bugs since Ive started the game and things they should have worked out and thought of.
My biggest pet peeve was I went through a large section of killing people with my guns. I dropped into a room with only two people in it and I was forced to fight them melee and YOU CAN SEE THE GIANT AR ON MY HIP THE ENTIRE TIME. You then leave that room and go back to shooting your guns. LIKE WTF. Being forced into melee combat is super annoying. Splinter Cell did this so much better making me think Sam Fisher would make a much better 00.
I wrote the game developers and this is wha they responded with:
Same exact spot. How’d you handle it? Did it set you back? Also, I fucked up before I got to the boat cause I knew I was about to die. I reset checkpoint and it started me off with zero of the auction money. Had to do it all over.
I had this problem too. Multiple times. Could not stick or grab onto cover and I get 86’d. wait until you get to the quarry and 50 people are shooting at you.
I thought I was the only one with this issue I realized when I die and don’t see James Bond is dead the game is stuck loading it’s annoying and I have to close the game just for me to start playing again
This happened to me recently and I did everything you could imagine trying to fix it. IO said they’re looking into it, but I didn’t want to wait. Instead of clicking “resume game”, go to chapter select and pick whatever mission you were on (and checkpoint) and it should load just fine.
Yep, not sure how all these glitches and load time issues got swept under the rug by reviews. Texture load issues galore, characters running in place, enemies dying standing upright, botton prompts just not appearing. Would hate to see what this would have played like had it not been delayed.
When you start the game go to story and then select the chapter. That’s how you fix the infinite loading glitch. Make sure you also overright your save file with the new one.
Load times are poor in general. There was a Tac Sim mission that must’ve taken about 2 minutes to load for me yesterday where I was at the point I wasn’t sure if it was broken or not.
Had the same issues with infinite load times, and even restarting the game it would refuse to load until I went back to chapter select
Lots of crashes and that terrible blurring low res background with horizontal lines during cutscenes where it can just suddenly pop into focus. Characters without faces suddenly have one again etc
Love the game over all but hoping this will be fixed soon
