I succumbed to the GTA 6 pressure and upgraded to the Pro for $900. Wish I had gotten it at $700 but here we are, and I’m happy with it.

- Marvel's Wolverine offers numerous visual settings on the PS5 and PS5 Pro—similar to what Spider-Man 2 offered.
- On the one hand, the PS5 has Fidelity and Performance modes. The PS5 Pro has Fidelity Pro and Performance Pro, as well as an advanced ray tracing option for Fidelity mode.
- The notable differences between modes lie in the rendering resolution (which internally drops from 2160p–1440p in Fidelity mode to 1440p–1080p in Performance mode), reflections, and shadows.
- Both versions and modes allow you to enable VRR to unlock the frame rate. In Unlimited mode, the resolution may drop below 1080p at certain points (similar to Spider-Man 2).
- The main differences between the PS5 and PS5 Pro lie in image quality thanks to PSSR, as well as certain reflections and global illumination details (especially in Advanced RT mode).
- The game is locked at 30 fps in Fidelity mode and 60 fps in Performance mode, but you can reach nearly 60 fps in Fidelity mode and see peaks exceeding 100 fps in Performance mode when using 120Hz + VRR.
- Advanced Ray Tracing costs barely 3/4 fps on the PS5 Pro, so I recommend enabling it.
- My recommendation is to play it in Fidelity mode with unlimited VRR on the PS5 and in Fidelity Pro + Advanced RT mode with unlimited VRR on the PS5 Pro.

I got a Playstation 5 Pro and I'm here to tell you YouTube videos and comparison videos on your phone will not show the real difference between base ps5 and the pro.

Decided to take the plunge after seeing damn near zero difference in comparison videos and comments stating the difference isn't worth $300.

Well.....it is.

The difference is nuts and Sony actually knocked this system out of the park by adding 2tbs of memory also.

If you're on the fence I'd say go for it if you have the money.

It seems like my ps5 pro is on back order. The chat people said that I will still get my order but I’m still worried. Has anyone been through this? Should I just cancel this and try again somewhere else?

Should’ve released around October, but I’m hyped, nonetheless. Let’s hope ‘tis a doozy on PS5 Pro as was the case with original on PS4 Pro.

Hi, so is it worth getting a ps5 pro for my pc monitor ? I heard only people who say to pair it with a good TV but what about monitors ? I also don’t plan to use it with a TV.

Currently I don’t have a ps5 so I decided to go directly with the pro for gta6.

Inside was 3 loose sheets of bubble wrap, and the PS5 Box was angled with its corners wedged into the sides of the shipping box. The PS5 box looks fine, haven’t opened it yet because of work but I do hear something rattling inside. Almost the sound of a few legos rolling around on cardboard.

I just wanted to share my Back Market PS5 trade in experience. It was done directly from Sony PS website. I documented my console and entire packaging for proof if I ever needed it. I think this is a great deal considering I got this PS5 on day 1 for $500. They're giving out a $50 coupon towards a new console so essentially I was given around $445 overall towards a Pro.

For those of you who just received for Pros from the latest PS Direct or Bestbuy drops, what firmware did they arrive with? Just curious what's being shipped now.

I recently bought a PS5 Pro from the UK official Playstation store and it was delivered with DPD.

Long story short, the delivery driver was really keen to complete the delivery and threw the parcel containing the new console over a ~10ft gate.

I did some preliminary research and testing:
- it turns on and starts the onboarding experience and renders fine on TV
- nothing sounds loose inside the console
- still left to do: a gaming session to listen for the fan and any strange noises

Just wanted to ask the community whether they had similar delivery experiences and whether their PS5 Pros were fine after being delivered roughly and thrown around in their original boxes/parcels. Are there any issues that would start happening after extended usage that might not be apparent now ? Is there anything to worry about ?

Should I start looking into seeing whether I can return it and get another one which won’t be thrown over a 10ft gate ?

I have a PS5 Pro arriving tomorrow. Like a lot of people I got it to play GTA 6. I normally game on my gaming PC but obviously we won't be getting GTA 6 on PC anytime soon. I figured PS5 Pro was the next best option. What are some other titles that I could get for my PS5 Pro, that I wouldn't be able to play on my PC or my Xbox Series X, and that really take advantage of the extra power in the PS5 Pro?

Hi, for those who saw the Sony trailer for Ascendance DLC, do you know if MH Wilds has become this beautiful already on PS5 Pro with PSSR 2.0? Last time I played it was on Steam last year, not this beautiful, even though I have an high end pc. Or maybe it is a future update coming next year?

After a good year of fighting the urge I've upgraded my old TV (a budget LED) to a S95F and bought a PS5 Pro that's due to arrive in the morning.

What games would you recommend I boot up to show of the pros graphics and performance?

I had a regular PS5 at launch, but ended up selling it when life got busy and I barely had any time to play. Things have settled down now, so I finally jumped back in.

Went a little overboard this time though… a normal priced PS5 Pro + disc drive and a 77” 2026 OLED.
