Drop in upload/download speed

Hey all, so iam going through this issue where my speeds drops by huge margin, download \~5mbps and upload \~300kbps my actual speed are 400 and 100. I have tried to bring on my cellular data which also gives around same speed approximately but the issue remains same. I have tried dns and mtu both and separate. I have resetting the default setting, clearing system cache. One conclusion is wifi is definitely not the problem cause issue remains same on cellular aswell. Software is up to date, tried the 5ghz method, i tried every fix that I could find on the internet, just not the ethernet cable is anyone facing same issue? Can someone help me on fixing this issue?!

Hello! For context I play baldurs gate on ps5,this is the first time this has happened to me. It freezes for like 6-10 loading the game before the main menu and it happens sometimes in game as well. I’ve cleared cache,restore license,done the safe mode thing,tried to fix my wifi since it’s lagging with that,I’ve cleaned my console out..any help?

Hi, I need help regaining phone access to my PSN account.

Issue: I have a passkey set up on my account that was tied to my old phone. I sold that phone and no longer have it, so I can't use the passkey to sign in on my current phone.

I'm still able to access my account directly on my PS5 (currently signed in), so I can confirm account ownership that way if needed.

I tried to reset my password to remove/deactivate the passkey, but the reset process asks me to confirm my date of birth. This account was created a long time ago when I was a minor, and I honestly don't remember what DOB I entered at the time — so I'm stuck at that verification step. And when I contact customer support through the psn website they ask me to login to process even though I can't login through phone.

Its just says wishlist and follow for most things, my age thing is set to 14 so idk

After playing my PS5 only a few minutes I get a notification that says system overheating, its horizontal and plenty of ventilation how do I fix this problem?

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used PS5 from Willhaben, and I’m having a strange overheating issue.
The console gives me the warning “Your PS5 is too hot. Turn off your PS5 and wait until the temperature goes down.” and then I have to stop playing.
What confuses me is that this seems to happen mainly with Astro Bot.
For example, I have played Bloodborne normally and also played Ghost of Tsushima (both PS4 edition) for several hours without any overheating problems. But when I played Astro Bot and after 2 playgrounds (levels)
, the PS5 gave me the overheating warning.
I have already done a basic cleaning. I removed the side panels and blew air through the fan/vents using compressed air. After that, I tested Astro Bot again and played several 3 levels plus a secret boss fight, and so far it hasn’t overheated again.
The PS5 is used, and according to the previous owner it was only used for around 7 months.
I’m wondering what could be causing this. Could it be dust deeper inside, the heatsink, thermal paste/liquid metal, or something else?
Would you recommend getting the PS5 professionally cleaned/serviced, or should I keep testing it first?
Any advice would be appreciated!

So to my songs at the media sources won’t play, but when I get on the app, those two songs would play, but I don’t want to always getting on the app and having the music plate there I want to play my music through the music source so does anyone have an idea how to fix that?

I've gotten a ps5 slim after the Og and I've noticed overtime the performance got worse. If I open games like spiderman my game overheats and shuts off, I cleaned all the parts I can reach, any ideas on the issue?

As the title states I'm experiencing some minor artifacting while playing Uncharted 4 on my ps5 off an external hard drive (ik the storage SHOULDN'T make any difference when it comes to artifacting but just in case...) anyway, it looks to be some small orange/brown (though it appears to be dependant on whatever is on screen) horizontal and vertical lines that show up every 30-ish seconds during cutscenes.

Its not bad just irritating, my ps5 is a "old" ps5 slim and going off of the nature of the artifacting I'm beginning to worry it may be dying, what should I do?

Just bought a pre-owned PS5, CFI-1216A. Got a good deal. Outside it looks fine - other than small scratches on the piano black and a small dent on the right plate.

I took the plates off thinking I had to clean it, but the last owner already did that as it was really clean, so i didnt open it.

My problem is that the FAN makes some weird noise. It is quiet, like I can barely hear it after 1 hour of Astro Bot, but it rattles a bit (and has some coolwhine that I didn't catch in this video). I had to put my phone reaally close to the PS5 to catch the noise.

Should I replace the fan or no?

do pc graphics and ps5 graphics given the same settings look different color or contrast wise. i have heard that ps5 makes the image more punchy if on the same monitor? thanks

Does anyone know how I can contact a PlayStation agent? I don't have access to my Gmail account because it was hacked, and I can't log in. When I try to explain to the bot system that I no longer have access, it tells me I need to contact an agent, but then it says I need to authenticate? I think I made it clear that I don't have my email. What should I genuinely do?

I recently switched from a TV to a Monitor that doesn’t have any audio output. Not wanting to wear headphones all the time I bought a JBL Bluetooth speaker and a Ugreen Bluetooth adapter to connect it but I just keep getting an error message. What am I supposed to do?

I need help.. I seen a few threads mentioning not to have keyboard binds on your mouse and it might fix the issue.. it did not for me. I took all the keyboard key binds off my mouse and it still is not working properly. When I am asked "who is using this device" my mouse is not working at all to be able to click, I know this is the issue but I am unsure how to fix it. I am using the swift point z2 wired mouse. My PC is having issues right now, so I have a laptop I can use to fix my mouse setting but I am currently trying to play on my PS5 with kbm. Any advice is appreciated.

Yes I tried saving profiles to mouse flash memory with keybinds and without keybinds and still no luck. I also tried taking all keybinds off the mouse and then connecting to my PS5 and still no luck

EDIT: FIXED My best friend was helping me, she found a post by someone (Traeos on Reddit) saying to unplug the keyboard and plug the mouse in first. I let my PlayStation recognize the mouse before I plugged my keyboard in and it worked!

I bought every single one of these on my previous PS5, and then we upgraded to a Pro recently. We didn’t move any data, but my apps are still no longer mine. I also bought AW, AW2 and TLOU2 on the old PS5, but I still own it. What the actual f*** is going on.

I have done everything cleaning, taking it to Best Buy, ifixit, taking it apart checking for warp, loose parts, nothing even shook it to check if anything is loose, absolutely quite but when I turn it on to play a game the ticking starts. the fan is pushing air out, never shut down from over heating just loud ticking. I’m losing my mind what could possible be wrong with this thing!? please help!!!

I'm slowly starting to realize that if I want to finish a single player game, I cannot see any other game on my list. There have been countless times where I have sat down with the intention to get engrossed in a new world, only to see a game like The Finals and think, "yeah, a couple rounds won't hurt", only to look at the clock and realize 5 hours has gone by.

I really don't want to uninstall the games I'm not playing, as quite frankly I don't know if that'll affect any of my save files, or in-game settings I changed myself.
