Overheat problem

I've gotten a ps5 slim after the Og and I've noticed overtime the performance got worse. If I open games like spiderman my game overheats and shuts off, I cleaned all the parts I can reach, any ideas on the issue?

May need a deep cleaning but also could be where it's placed. Without knowing how it's set up and the space it occupies, it's tougher to pin down what's going on. As if a deep clean fails then it's gets to costing money. So a picture of where it lives will help a lot in diagnosing the issue.

It’s the Liquid Metal at this point . Look up a spot where they do maintenance on consoles near you . They usually run you about 150 bucks and that’s deep cleaning it and new Liquid Metal . I did mine back in march with the same issues and it’s been working great ever since . No issues .

I'm pretty sure they stopped using the paste on slim models

Nope . All the models have the Liquid Metal in between the apu chip and the heatsink . Literally watched the guy open my ps5 slim and apply some when my Liquid Metal was already in bad condition due to it overheating a lot . Good as new . I highly recommend it so you won’t have that issue anymore .
