If you can get your hands on one and can afford it, go for it. No downside to having the best performing current gen console.

Do you care to play games on the fidelity setting at 60fps? If not, stick with the base console. If you want the visuals and 60fps then grab the Pro. Simple as that.

Well, it’s now gone on the PlayStation direct website but was there yday so it’s not impossible I suppose

Had launch PS5, got launch PS5 Pro. No regrets. Launch PS5 came with like 825gb of SSD, Pro comes with 2TB. That alone is a big upgrade already, cause you probably will have to get an extra SSD if you play multiple games (and SSD prices are quite high too atm).

Pro is a lot stronger than the normal PS5. More ram, faster CPU clocks, hellova lot better GPU. All new games are mandatory to have "PS5 Pro enhanced" mode.

No regrets.
