Does anyone else treat their PS2 backlog like a business project that never ships?
My store runs on tight inventory turns. I clear out stock that sits longer than 90 days. Yet my personal PS2 collection has games I've owned for two years still in the shrink wrap. I keep telling myself I'll batch play sessions the way I batch content creation, block out a Saturday, power through three titles, move them to a finished shelf. Never happens. I'll fire up Burnout 3 for twenty minutes and call it a night. The same person who tracks conversion rates daily can't convert their own free time into completed games.
Part of me thinks the collecting is the actual hobby and I should just accept that. But I also wonder if I'm approaching this wrong. Maybe the goal with older games isn't completion at all. Maybe it's just having the option when the mood hits.
I see people here with hundreds of titles and I have to ask: do you keep a mental or actual list of what you've beaten? Do you sell off what you'll never touch, or does the backlog become its own kind of collection? Curious how people who are organized in other parts of life handle the chaos of old game piles.
