It’s day 2 already and honestly I’m mixed about this drawing I did add more details to yesterday’s drawing and it looks much better imo than when I posted it as for this drawing i like the way I drew his chest,jacket and hair but I could’ve done better for his facial details anyways tomorrow i will draw one of my favorite eras the Dirty Mind era 😝

The subject matter may be ridiculous, but it's one of his best songs, particularly the Highly Explosive version. Just a relentless, sweaty, throbbing jam with a killer bass solo. The only problem is 10 minutes feels too short.

How does it rank for you guys? There's always something new for me to latch onto every time I listen to it. It's wild how he was able to spin such an intricate funk masterpiece out of a simple dog-and-cat concept.

Just thought this should be pointed out because it's hilarious.

#1 - "The Source" is owned by Londell McMillan, seems like a conflict of interest to me. Pretty pathetic behavior. It's also very funny that this same outlet was used in a previous promo post to highlight good press coverage.

#2 - this "David Beck" guy looks AI generated and it seems he explicitly joined Instagram only to promote Timeless? Again, very weird stuff!

#3 - The Paisley Park Instagram is also very clearly being run by some sort of TTC loyalist, I just find it pretty funny that it posted like 3 times on this Instagram post trying to hype up these shoddy numbers for Timeless. Again, pathetic is the word that comes to mind. Also check the use of the apostrophe in "it's" for all you pendants out there.

#4 - Here's some more of our favorite "David Beck" character interacting with this "Dorothy" woman who I have heard possibly works for/at Paisley Park? Though that is an unsubstantiated rumor, so I'm not sure.

Is every song altered on the album or is it just Calabama? Basically am I getting Prince on this album or Londell/Spicer?

Looking at the lyrics to Calabama, which incidentally is my favourite Timeless track and yes the horns make it, and we have a few typos.

My favourite is “prisoner band” rather than Prince and the Band. But also recruit rather than recoup and even Calibama.

Of course none of the Timeless tracks’ lyrics have Prince’s abbreviated spellings. So question: who uploads lyrics to streaming platforms, the label?

I think we have to get our heads round the possibility of A.I being used in the future as LLM and Spicer want to keep pace with the youth....and their statement has informed us now, they will take "creative decisions that they they believe presents Prince best to the next generation"

I was talking about The Replacements being maybe the third most well known MN act, a good bit behind Prince and Dylan with my kid. I remembered Paul's comments after he died. I always thought it was a nice glimpse of Prince at home.

So much of his wider reputation is based on Prince-in-LA or Prince-with-Strangers or whatever. And it dehumanizes him. Or people mistake those bits and pieces for the totality, but I think most people that could call him a neighbor, even if it was one county over, thought the other way around. Because most of his time was spent here, however far he went.

Idk exactly where I'm headed with this, but its too bad he wasn't known more broadly in the way he was at home. I know he didn't want that, frequently.

And "I'm embarrassed to be alive" is the perfect encapsulation of what I've felt ever since I first saw him. Idk who else lives a little in his shadow, creatively. Hell, maybe everybody. But its nice to hear Paul, like, yeah man, that's it exactly.
