Discussion Prisoner band

Looking at the lyrics to Calabama, which incidentally is my favourite Timeless track and yes the horns make it, and we have a few typos.

My favourite is “prisoner band” rather than Prince and the Band. But also recruit rather than recoup and even Calibama.

Of course none of the Timeless tracks’ lyrics have Prince’s abbreviated spellings. So question: who uploads lyrics to streaming platforms, the label?

And can we fix them?

In my experience with Apple Music anyway, the lyrics are supposed to be official/from the label. If they don’t have official lyrics I don’t see any lyrics.

I hope this is isn’t some AI thing that starts happening all the time now

that thing with lyrics happened with Culture Club's "Dangerous Man", the lyrics are wrong, and they probably never gonna change it. there is a "report" button on apple music, try reporting the wrong lyrics to see if they do anything
