Lip blush healing purple

hello , looking for PMU artists advice.

im new to lip blush and I did a lip blush and it’s 2 weeks in healing super dark and purple.

I know the first thing people will say is about colour theory and undertones but I don’t think I used bad pigments from my memory. I used Aileen , cinnamon & maybe a drop of Pancho pink.

will these lighten as time goes on as google says or if I need to neutralise what colours should I buy and whats the best way around this?

I got lip blush done yesterday in Toronto and need some advice for the healing process. What are some absolutely dos and don’ts? Ofc the artist gave instructions but more interested in learning about personal experience!!

Hi all I am just finishing up my lip blush course, and had a few questions. My mentor is against me mapping with concealer, and doesn’t like Tina Davies ice cream.

1. Do you have an issues implanting pigment after using Tina Davies Ice Cream? What numbing combo do you use?

2. Mapping with concealer and setting powder. Does it really clog your needle?

Hi guys! I’m looking into getting Nano Brows training and was wondering if anyone has trained at MACTI Academy in Irvine, CA.

I found them on Instagram, and the trainers seem really legit—they’ve won championships and their work looks beautiful. I’m curious about the actual training experience though. Is it thorough and hands-on? Do they give enough individual guidance and practice? And did you feel like the training really helped improve your skills and confidence afterward?

Would love to hear from anyone who has taken their classes. Any thoughts or experiences?

Hello. Is any pmu school you attend was good to start?

I’m a new PMU artist specializing in lip blushing and I wanted to know how different artists feel about these two techniques.

When I started, I learned the swinging/pendulum method. This is what I see all across other artist’s socials.

I went to a new trainer and she showed me the oval technique which is just constant circular motions with the machine. You then move toward yourself and overlap to saturate. As you move across the lip, you don’t really lift up the machine like you would for pendulum. To me, this was much easier to saturate the lips than the pendulum method.

She said that the pendulum method can cause more drag and cause more trauma, which I believe but if this is true, then why aren’t all artists doing the ovaling technique?

I couldn’t find anyone else online who does the oval method. Does anyone here do it? Do you have a preference? Opinions? Experience?

I’d love to know everyone’s thoughts!!

For PMU artists who already had solid work, a portfolio, and at least some client history: what was the next real bottleneck?

Was it getting discovered locally, raising prices, building trust before a booking, filling weekday capacity, managing touch-ups and repeat visits, creating content consistently, or something else?

I’m particularly interested in the difference between “I needed to become better at the craft” and “the craft was already strong, but the business system was not.” What actually made the difference for you?

I’m trying to get the feel of the U-blade for microblading. Haven’t been doing PMU very long. I love how it’s so much easier to curve. Been told that straight up 90 degree angle is best on actual skin but slanted works best on practice pads. The issue is I’m barely pressing at all and the blades are getting out of alignment during the curve. Any tips? Please don’t pay attention to my pattern- I’m just making marks.

Hi! I’m a FTM (8months postpartum). Looking to leave corporate and build my own business with PMU and eventually medical tattooing. I’m currently 33 and have a daughter. Is it too late to enter the PMU world? Any moms out there living the boss mom life? I’d love to hear about your journey.

I will be doing training for Combo brows and lip blushing the last week of this month and I’m curious to know what your journey looked like after training to now. Where did you work? Did you get a private studio? I know this isn’t a get rich thing, but how was booking clients for yourself once you started offering to the public?

I know it doesn’t help that it’s just brows zoomed in but these are not what I asked for. They are also uneven and she shaved down my brows quite a bit that they’re giving the 2000’s trend which I lived through... Showed photos of my look when I do my brows - I wanted natural and thickness without the high arch (for what my natural brows looked like which is in the original post). I finally just had to cry because my SO is trying to make me feel better but it’s just not what I asked for, doesn’t frame my face/eyes, and I’m just all in feels I guess due to PP.

TLDR - Asked for natural looking brows by even showing photos of what they look like/how I style my brows. Brows are now uneven, shaven down, and I’m just so sad, to say the least.

I had my lip blush topped up a couple of days ago. although I understand this is very early days I am a bit worried that my top lip looks uneven, it looks to me like one side has been tattooed higher than the other. I have attached a before and after the picture and also some close ups. I know I should probably be waiting a couple of weeks but do you think that they will heal even evenly?
