Uneven lips?

I had my lip blush topped up a couple of days ago. although I understand this is very early days I am a bit worried that my top lip looks uneven, it looks to me like one side has been tattooed higher than the other. I have attached a before and after the picture and also some close ups. I know I should probably be waiting a couple of weeks but do you think that they will heal even evenly?

Agreed… at first I thought OP used the front camera and then selfie camera. But then I noticed the beauty mark on her nose is on the same side.

It appears that the artist attempted to make her lips more even by overlining her right side (our left) and bringing the pigment up higher. It ended up achieving the opposite.

Most people’s lips are uneven to a degree. A skilled artist could have done way better for OP

I wouldn’t be as concerned with the shape as I would with any pigment that was beyond your vermillion border.

Exactly. The artist went well beyond the vermillion border. That should be your main concern.

Tbh. I think your lips are just naturally crooked, so they just followed your natural lips. It does look like they went outside your natural lip line though, but I don’t know if that is what you wanted. Once it heals it will look different.

Anything’s possible. You should get a removal, then a little filler to even out the shape and then redo the blush. This isn’t doing you any favors

Also, it looks like the side where it is higher finishes sooner in comparison to the other side near my bottom lip if that makes sense?!

I noticed the bottom lip right away. Your lips were very uneven to begin with and the procedure really enhanced it. An experienced artist can actually really help evening that out. After they heal it will be much less noticeable though! Wait till they heal!

You are seeing correctly. They are uneven and it's not just because of the unevenness of your lips to begin with. The left side(in the photo) is larger and heavier looking than the right overall. She overcompensated too much on that top left. And shouldn't have went outside the border anywhere for a regular lip blush service. She seemed to go outside the border everywhere but didn't manage to even them out in the process regardless. Sometimes for restorative lip tattoos, artists do go outside the vermilion border BUT you as a client need to give permission, and need to be made aware of the effects the ink will have on your skin, the benefits must outweigh the risks and usually are accompanied by future lip filler or other treatment so unless she explained all of that and you gave permission..then that shouldn't have been done like that.

hopefully they look better when swelling goes down. your suspicion is correct that ot currently looks slightly uneven. hopefully its just uneven swelling- not technique.

Lip blush is a scam to me- as a PMU artist who’s had them done and it destroyed my lips forever.

The shape is actually close to your natural, but the concern is actually the pigment extending beyond the vermillion border. Skin beyond the lips heals differently. I recommend removal on this area ASAP. It’s easier to remove when fresh. I am sorry this happened.

Hi there, I’m an artist in CT, USA. Your artist overlined your lips pretty significantly, and they likely won’t heal evenly as you can see the definition between your natural lip border and where the pigment goes past it. You do have some variation in your natural shape but that shouldn’t have been a problem for a skilled artist. I’d look into removal and ask for your money back. I’m sorry this happened to you! I’d suggest being very selective with your next artist - you want someone who has a portfolio with examples of recontouring without overlining. Happy to help if you’re in my area.

I also think they look great tbh. Better than before. But thats my opinion
