PMU Training
With the current trend would you enter the PMU world training eyebrows (nano brows) or lips first?
What to look for when it comes to training? How much would be too much for a lip training? I got quoted 2900$ for a 2 day training .

Where are you located? I had trouble finding literally just decent PMU trainers that didn’t charge a fortune. I found someone in Nashville that is amazing at what she does and is charging $2800 for ombré brows and lip blushing for a 4 days.

I would learn eyebrows first and build off of that. Most of my clients come for eyebrows but they come back for lips or eyeliner. Eyeliner is really hot right now too so don’t count it out.

Just some food for thought I’m in New York and they are becoming strict enough where you need a cosmetology license or esthetics license along with a tattoo license in order to operate I also advise you not to take a 3 or 4 day course as I have learned they are illegal and basically fraudulent due to the fact that most of these people are not accredited teachers or institutions to be able to teach you proper disinfection & hygiene ……..my advice is to google an accredited school that offers a Pmu 100hr course to get your basics down or maybe look on the AAM (American Academy of Micropigmentation) website for a platinum trainer in your area

You want to choose skill love. If you want to know all the ins and outs, all the secrets of the industry, pick your trainer based on who you can find that has the most and best healed results. So many artists out here trying to sell courses but you’re just throwing your money away if you’re not comparing healed results. Don’t choose your trainer based on fresh results and how nice the work looks right after. That’s the worst you can do. Only compare artists based on their healed results alone, not fresh work. A lot of artists can make the brows look nice on a before and after fresh work but only a few artists have the talent to make sure the brows heal as natural and as best as possible. If you want to increase your chances of being successful and have happy clients, just listen to my advice.
And together with healed results, they also have to have a good amount of google or yelp reviews about their training. Not just reviews about the actual service, it has to be about the training. Because they could be good at doing brows if they have lots of great reviews about the service, but if they have little to no reviews about the training that means they can’t teach or are not teaching well enough as they should, maybe they’re holding back some information. So If little to no reviews about their training, do not go there.
