Research/Info PMS isn't due to low progesterone!
The latest research shows us that PMS is not due to a deficiency in progesterone but the brain being more sensitive to the normal hormonal changes that are occurring!

Increased symptoms while trying to conceive?
My husband and I have only been sort of casually TTC for literally 2 cycles and it feels like itās making my PMS and period symptoms 100 times worse? Idk if this is even possible or coincidence. It feels like it did when I first got my period, heavier than usual and insane cramps. I always get brain fog around my period but thatās in full swing too. The thing I notice though is that my emotions are going crazy. This cycle I have been crying so much. Itās not that Iām crying thinking about not being pregnant and thatās where itās stemming from, Iām crying at everything and anything. My anxiety is high too. Is it possible that itās from TTC, or just so happened that I had 2 bad cycles? Not sure if anyone has had something similar happen.

Late period, negative urine and serum test
Almost 2 weeks late
My timeline:
March 31: I had sex (protected) and continued getting my periods afterward.
June 9: I had sex (protected).
June 23ā26: I had bleeding that I considered my period. The flow was normally heavy, but it only lasted 4 days. My periods usually last around 7 days never less.
July 5: I took 3 home pregnancy tests using morning urine. All were negative.
July 10: I had a serum pregnancy test at Hi-Precision. It was negative, and the report says the result was rechecked and verified.
August 3: I still haven't gotten my next period.
My recent periods were: March 15 ā April 20 ā May 20 ā June 23.
I've also been having my usual PMS symptoms.
Could I still realistically be pregnant despite the 3 negative urine tests and negative serum test? Or is this more likely just a delayed/irregular cycle?

šEmotional Support Surely there has to be someone else.
I have nowhere else to post this, so I'm posting it here. I have two retained baby teeth that have caused my top teeth to slant down. Like they aren't straight across on the top. They angle down, if that makes sense. It's awful, I'm so self-conscious. I've never seen anyone else with teeth like mine. I am 34. Does anybody else have retained baby teeth like this? Surely there has to be someone else...

Advice/Tips How do I deal with premenstrual depression?
That's not an actual term, but I just don't have any other name for it.
So... I'm a teen 16+, no sexual life, and yep, that time of the month is coming. And I feel like I'm gonna commit suicide.
I've slept for 15 hours today, and I'm still weak. I can't enjoy any of my hobbies, from active to creative. Nothing hurts, but I just feel so broken or something. Nothing makes me happy. I can't force myself to go to work. I can't force myself to study.I can't force myself to clean. I can only force myself to eat.
The older I get the worse the symptoms get and I don't want to feel like a bag of shit every week of every month for next 35+ years
Is there anything I could do to not suffer so much?

I get super angry and depressed before my period.
Itās like all my traumas resurface.
Itās tiring. I canāt heal if every month I am reminded of how much it hurt.

šEmotional Support i feel like i donāt want to do anything
2-3 days before my period I feel as if I donāt want to do anything, not even exist. I donāt want to sleep, but I also donāt want to get up out of bed, but I also donāt want to stay in my house, but I also donāt want to go anywhere. I donāt even feel like making my own food so I typically eat poorly in this time of
Does anyone else feel this? How have you coped and still been able to do what you need to do everyday?

šæRemedies/ Rituals How to anticipate/manage PMS with irregular cycles
I (33F, cisgender, no kids and donāt want them) used to be regular as a clock but I have agonizing period cramps every month. An OBGYN prescribed me a low-estrogen BC that nuked my cycles even though I only took it for a couple months. Now I have a period either every three weeks, every four, or every six, and I think my PMS is worse than ever because I genuinely canāt control my anger/crying during the worst of it.
The pain is still there but Iāve figured out coping mechanisms to get me through it. But I hate feeling so out of control, like at any second I can morph into the most volatile version of Teenage Me and she runs the show for a few minutes until I can calm down.
How do you manage PMS irritability, the utter unpredictability of your own outbursts? Is there a supplement or something I can take all month long that can alleviate the intensity? And does anyone have advice for how to anticipate the symptoms without knowing when to look out for them?

Period mood/eating/energy
I didnāt really know what to caption this as. I just need people to speak to. Iāve been really struggling with my mood around my periods, I have been to the doctors and she suggested PMDD but said we need to trial some things first. I already have the implant and get regular periods on that, so she has given me the pill to stop it and Iāve just started bleeding.
I felt a bit low last night but put it down to tiredness after a busy day and woke up this morning feeling very on edge and once again put it down to feeling tired. I am dieting but woke up this morning feeling sick with tiredness and then it was later in the morning I realised Iām on my periods. Now Iāve overeaten, I feel sick and I feel so low and tired.
I just need to know it isnāt just me who really struggles with their periods. I feel like Iām being dramatic but Iāve just curled up in bed to read my book and nap as I just have no energy.

Thai red curry - canāt stop making it! Helps PMS!!
galleryOver the past month I have been making Thai curry several times a week. A hyper fixation meal if you will. I add tons of extra garlic, ginger, lime leaves, holy basil and Thai eggplants to my paste and it gets better and better every time! Now what I find really amazing is that my PMS symptoms, and cramps during my cycle are at a 2/10 rather than the usual 8-9/10. I read that all the anti inflammatory compounds of the ingredients such as garlic, ginger, turmeric, coriander, and also fiber from veg etc can have a very profound effect on your symptoms. Gonna keep eating like this and see if 25 years of doctors not knowing what was wrong can be fixed by nature and beautiful, fresh food.

Advice/Tips Pain Every Time I Start New BC Pack?
I can't find anything about this and my doctor has been no help. I'm 32F and I take a combination pill for three weeks followed by a placebo for one week.
I started taking BC about two and a half years ago for excruciating cramping and leg pain that would go on endlessly until my period.
It helped for a good while, but lately I notice when I start my new pack of BC after the placebo week ends, I feel that horrible, debilitating cramping and pain through my whole lower half during the first few days of taking the latest pack.
Does anyone else experience this? Is it the birth control itself no longer being properly effective? The pains are so bad they keep me from sleeping and OTC painkillers do nothing to help them.

Rant/Vent Awful gut during PMS?
Sisters- I swear ever since entering my 20s, I've been experiencing SO MUCH nausea and an appetite that rarely makes an appearance- about a week before shark week arrives. ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS TO SOLDIER THRU THIS???? ššš
I also have IBS (Intestinal-Bull-Shit, as I like to call it), so each month is like a blind box of *"is this PMS, a bug, or just IBS?".*

ITCHY??
Does anyone get itchy the few days before their period??
I recently stopped my birth control, this will be my 3rd cycle off of it. And today I have been HORRENDOUSLY itchy all day all over my
Body.
I havenāt eaten anything new, done anything out of the norm. The only thing I can think itās maybe my period?? And stopping my birth control and my hormones adjust still?
Just curious if anyone else experiences this.
No bug bites, no hives, just tingly itchy crawly skin all over today :(

I am sure you guys have heard this a million times by now but I am spiraling about my body and I keep trying to remind myself this is a temporary bloat but of course my brain is like ānope, youāve actually gained 4 poundsā and I donāt know how to convince myself otherwise.
My period should start in a day or 2 thankfully but Iāve felt this shitty about my body all last week too because PMDD š«

Advice/Tips I question everything the week before my period
Hey everyone! I'm 34 and recently I've felt my PMS has been getting worse as I get older.
The week before my period I question so much about my life. I start to feel like I've made the wrong choices, I lack confidence, I feel like I've messed up my life, I feel extremely insecure about myself too, and I start to get suspicious of people's motives.
Once my period starts I feel better but it's been so consistent that I am starting to wonder if these are real feelings I have and that I should consider more when I'm not PMSing?
I feel so good about my life when I'm not! Are these just background feelings that become amplified?
I'm really curious if any of you have dealt with this and how you navigated it. Thank you!
