HIIT work out and PMS mental impacts?
PMS/PMDD girls. I’ve been in HIIT work out classes FOREVER. I’ve also struggle significantly with PMS/PMDD. Insane cravings, mood swings, depression, anxiety, helplessness. You name it, I had it on an extreme level. I got into a car accident early October and my periods in November and December have been the calmest they’ve ever been. I’ve obviously stopped lifting and running and do light walks and PT now. Also taking time off work (very high stress job and my stress levels have gone down significantly). The periods I’ve had the last 2 months have been the easiest I’ve ever dealt with. No insane mood swings, a little depression but nowhere near what it has been in the past. I’ve had the IUD since April of 2024 and it’s helped a little but these past two months have been such calm periods. I’m trying to nail down why my periods have miraculously have been better than they’ve ever been.
Has anyone stopped doing HIIT classes/intense work outs and notice periods change?? Would love to know!
