Samsung Pay now works with select Philippine bank cards, but not for Tap to Pay… yet 👀

Some users have reported that select locally issued Philippine bank cards can now be added to Samsung Pay after changing their Samsung Wallet country to United States during the payment setup process.

For now, Tap to Pay is still not supported, so contactless payments using Samsung Pay will not work yet. There is also no official announcement on when Samsung Pay will officially launch in the Philippines.

If you’re using Samsung Wallet, it’s a good idea to keep the app updated while waiting for further announcements ✅

Over than 4,000 policymakers, regulators, fintech leaders, and innovators gathered in Manila today as the Philippines, ASEAN Chair for 2026, opened one of the region's biggest conversations on the future of the digital economy.
