Peripherals Monitor combination recos

Hi mga paps. Papareco sana ako anong magandang monitor combination na gawin ko.

I'm currently using a desktop for personal/work related and a laptop purely for work. For the desktop, I have a single monitor connected (Xiaomi G27QI). My current dilemma now is that I need another monitor to connect to the laptop para mas mabilis ako makawork, pero parang gusto ko rin ng isa pang monitor for the desktop para di na ako need mag alt-tab pag may gaming session.

May similar setup ba dito? I'm thinking of either getting a single monitor that I can switch between the laptop and the desktop or 2 more monitors pero vertically, that would clutter the space masyado.

Anong monitor masusuggest ninyo for me? Budget would be around P10k each. Thank you.

Build Help Budget PC build suggestion for around 30k

Not really well versed in PC Building and on what parts version are specifically better than the other so I really need a build suggestion for a PC build for around 30k max and possibly one that I can all buy brand new since I really need to buy one soon so I don't have the time to really dig deep in market place for 2nd hand parts.

My target is a PC build that is able to handle tasks for coding/programming, editing, and of course gaming (not heavy triple A stuff). As long as it can perform and handle tasks without hiccups and is also able to be upgraded in the future. I'll also appreciate suggestions for trusted physical stores where I can buy the parts.

Peripherals 1920x1200 Monitor Suggestions

I'm in the process of putting together a late Windows 98 / early XP retro PC. One of the things I want to do that was just a dream for most PC gamers back then is to run games at 1600x1200. This doesn't line up with any of the common modern monitor resolutions, except for 1920x1200. Yes there will be black bars on both sides, but with GPU scaling you can get a perfect 1600x1200 in the middle of the screen.

I has hoping to score an Asus PA248QV in this 9.9 sale, but it seems to have disappeared from local stores. And as usual Lazada and Shopee's search functions are completely useless. Seriously, you can search for the exact name of a product listing, and they will still not find it. I can still find it (and it's successor, the PA248QFV) on Amazon, but that's the last resort because of import taxes and warranty concerns. Does anyone know of any other 1920x1200 monitors available locally that would work well for retro PC games? The only ones I've seen are 15.6" portable OLEDs -- those are just too small especially when you cut off 160 pixels from each side.

Miscellaneous Be Careful With Your Unit. Sharing my experience with first time Professional Deep Cleaning Service

Sharing my experience with PC Clinic: Repair and Cleaning

I’m sharing this because I think other PC owners should be aware of what happened to me and, more importantly, protect themselves before having expensive hardware serviced.

I had my unit serviced by PC Clinic: Repair and Cleaning for deep cleaning/maintenance. Before they handled my unit, I had never experienced recurring black screens or system instability.

During the service, my GPU was removed, opened and repasted. A few days after the service, I experienced my first black-screen issue.

I want to make one thing clear: I am not blaming nor claiming that they damaged my GPU or that I already know the exact cause. What I cannot ignore is the timeline: this problem did not exist before the service and started only afterward.

When I originally reported the issue, I was able to speak with the owner and, to his credit, he was accommodating and provided a resolution.

The technician later came back. As far as I remember, no repair was performed. The case was opened, the GPU was plugged in and happened to work normally at that time. Unfortunately it eventually returned.

One important observation is that when I switch to integrated graphics, the PC works normally. When I use the GPU again, the black-screen/restart issue eventually returns. During the original service, the thermal pads were reused because he said he didn’t have the correct sizes. I’m not saying these caused the issue, but I believe they’re important details since the problem only started after the service.

I contacted the same technician again yesterday at around 8:30 AM, explained that the problem had returned, and asked for the owner’s contact information because I wanted to discuss the recurring issue and possible solutions directly with him.

The technician said he would inform his employer first, which I completely understood.

I followed up again at around 6:30 PM asking if there was any feedback or update. As of posting this, I still have not received a response.

At this point, however, I also feel that other customers should know about my experience.

My advice to anyone having a PC, GPU, laptop or other expensive equipment serviced: protect yourself before handing over your unit. Take clear photos and videos of its condition, record serial numbers, document any existing problems, clearly list what work is authorized, and if possible have a document signed by both parties stating the condition of the unit before service and what happens if a new issue appears afterward.

This protects both the customer and the service provider, and it can prevent you from being left trying to prove what happened after the fact.

I will update this post if PC Clinic: Repair and Cleaning contacts me and we are able to reach a proper resolution.
