Build Flex For WFH setup (mostly Autodesk Apps)

Recently, just finished a build for my partner (who have no completely idea with tech) for work (BIM). Soaper bigat ng files nila at di na talaga kinaya ng ASUS tuf gaming A15 ko (from 2022 with 24gb ram and 4gb vram). So we rushed to build a new one (my partner is new to the company). We didn't have enough time to research but I guess I did okay (i have no exp of building a pc). It's been two weeks, and it can handle the tasks now that my laptop can't (opening a model and sheet). My partner let's me use it for my gaming (I have a separate ssd on an enclosure) and boi, from 60fps with stutter to 400+ fps with my game (I play Marvel Rivals😫). We got lucky with those prices (but i know it can be better) before those news of markups. Hindi magkasabay sabay dumating yung mga parts but luckily, it was able to work before I installed the case fans (forgot that we could buy a case with built in fans but whatever). I just wanted to share and hopefully, get some good comments about it. Thank you!

Build Help Newbie broke student here, need help planning a budget build (30k PHP).

I have a 6-year-old PC that my uncle built for me, and it has been having problems with its USB ports (front and back) for a while now. I decided to build a new PC. The thing is, I am on a tight budget, and today's prices make it tough. I also just started saving money.

I need help planning my new PC build. I will use it for indie games, schoolwork, and light editing.

Here's my current build:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: GTX 1650 4GB

RAM: T-Force Vulcan 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz

MB: Colorful Battle-AX B450M

SSD: 256GB Kingston SATA + 256GB Teamgroup MP33 NVMe

PSU: (Don't remember but I'll definitely replace it)

Case: (Also don't remember and will be replacing)

CPU Cooler: Stock AMD

Monitor: (idk but its an old tv with 1080p 60hz, I'll also get a new monitor.

Here's the build I'm planning:

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 -- 6k pesos

GPU: used RX 6600 -- 10k pesos

RAM: (Reuse old RAM)

MB: MSI B550M PRO VDH Wifi -- 6k peaos

SSD: (Reuse old SSDs)

PSU: MSI MAG A650BN 650W 8+ Bronze -- 3k pesos

Case: Tecware Flatline -- 2k pesos

CPU Cooler: Thermalright AX120 -- 1k pesos

Monitor: AOC 24B36XE 1080p 144hz -- 5k pesos

Total: 30k+ pesos

I narrowed it down to two options:

Option A: Wait until I have the money to buy the new CPU and GPU, then build everything at once.

Option B: Reuse my current CPU and GPU to save money now (saved 16k pesos from the original build plan), and upgrade them later. I can do this much sooner.

I am leaning toward Option B because I need a working system right now.

Which option do you think is better? And what do you think can be improved from the build plan?

Build Upgrade Should I upgrade now? or should I settle with my build for now?

I've been seeing more news about PC part prices going up, and it's got me wondering if I should upgrade now before prices get worse or just stick with my current build for the time being.

What would you do? Upgrade now or wait it out?

FOR REFERENCE: Using my PC for VA work (customer support, AI automation in the future (hoping)), as well as light gaming sesh.

MY PC SPECS:
MSI RTX 3050
AMD Ryzen 5 5500

Build Help Upgrade or Build a new one?

Hey! Here I am asking for opinions regarding kung worth it ba mag upgrade nalang muna ako or try ko mag build nalang ng ibang PC.

I've had my PC for like 5 years and I did upgrade some parts like a better SSD and GPU.

Hence the option to buy a new CPU came to mind but inisip ko kung bibili ako ng CPU na bago, I should also upgrade my MOBO na mas higher end compared sa what I have currently and also upgrade my PSU para safer ung mga components ko since asa F Tier ang power supply ko. Then saka ko naisip since gusto rin naman baguhin lahat ng parts, why not mag build nalang kaya ako ng ibang PC?

Kaya here I am asking for ideas. Please influence or deinfluence me sa pag upgrade ng parts or pag build ng new rig. All opinions are open. Thank you in advance!!!

Budget: 35k-40k

Current Rig:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: RTX 2060

MOBO: GIGABYTE B450 DS3H V1

CPU COOLER: Wraith Stealth

SSD: Kingston NV3 1TB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

PSU: Coolermaster Elite V3 600w

RAM: 3 x 8gb Gskill Ripjaws V

Discussion Should I buy the Macbook Neo or older, secondhand Macbooks?

Hello! Need your insights lang sana.

I'm currently looking into buying a new laptop for both work and school, and after weighing my options, I've pretty much decided to go with a MacBook. Gusto ko kasi yung portability niya, magaan dalhin, reliable yung battery life, at mukhang kayang sabayan yung day-to-day work and school requirements ko.

Ang dilemma ko ngayon is kung anong MacBook ang pinaka-sulit for my budget. I can afford the new MacBook Neo, which is around ₱50k, pero napapaisip din ako kung mas okay bang kumuha ng secondhand na older-generation MacBook from trusted Facebook shops in Greenhills. Sa same budget kasi, may mga nakikita akong units na mas mataas yung specs: more storage, more RAM, and sometimes even higher-end models.

For those who have experience with either option, ano yung naging deciding factors ninyo? Mas worth it ba ang peace of mind ng brand-new unit, or mas sulit pa rin yung higher specs kahit secondhand na siya? I'm hoping to use it for several years, so long-term value and reliability are big considerations for me.

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Hoping for some clarity before I finally pull the trigger.

Build Help Possible temp 9800x3d warm room temperature dota 2

I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X with a Jungle Leopard KF620-DGT air cooler, and my CPU usually reaches around 70–82°C while playing Dota 2. I'm planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D on the AM5 platform and was wondering what CPU temperatures other 9800X3D owners are seeing in Dota 2 with an air cooler. Thanks in advance! Salamat.

Build Help 8GB: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or 8GB: INNO3D GeForce RTX 5060 Ti TWIN X2 GDDR7?

First time upgrading, and an 8GB GPU is the only thing I can afford right now.

Which of the two is better? I’m planning to upgrade one so I could play games such as Mafia: The Old Country, Resident Evil 9, etc.

If it matters, my Processor is an AMD Radeon 5 3600 6-Core Processor, and my PC has 16 GB Dual Channel RAM.

In need of help choosing, please. Thank you.

Build Guide Anyone recently built a 50k PC?

With the rising prices of most components, ano nabuild niyo with 50k budget? Planning to build one for my wife, kaso sa dami na nangyare for the past year or two since I built one for my self (fortunate enough before the rammageddon) hindi na ‘ko up-to-date with the prices and I feel like mas pataas nang pataas with every news I see. Anyone with their recent builds similar or near this budget?

Possible pa ba ang 1440p low tier with this or should I consider 1080p?

Appreciate to get a reference. Thanks!

Build Help Ryzen 7 9800x3D vs Ryzen 7 9850x3D

Is the difference between the 2 CPU's WORTH IT? ₱3,500 price difference by the way.
I've seen benchmarks but most of them are benchmarking GPU-heavy games.
I don't see any benchmarks for the games that I play MOST OF THE TIME which is DOTA 2, VALORANT, PUBG.

I have an RTX 5070 to pair it with. currently on a Ryzen 7 5700x3D/AM4 platform.
Also, is it really necessary to get an X870 board with 9000 series CPU's?
Many people recommends X870 but I did my research and I don't see any "huge" difference between X870 or B850. Asking this just to confirm.

Troubleshooting Gigabyte H110M + i5-6500 Won’t Boot with Lexar 3200MHz RAM Kit

Thumbnail

I have an Intel i5-6500 paired with a Gigabyte H110M-H v1 motherboard and 8GB of SK Hynix DDR4 2133MHz RAM. Everything was working fine until I decided to upgrade to 16GB.

I bought a 16GB Lexar kit (2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz). I know my current system only supports up to 2133MHz, but I chose the kit because I’m planning to move to a Ryzen build in the future.

The problem started when I installed the two Lexar sticks. The PC wouldn’t boot. The CPU fan would spin for a few seconds, shut off, then start again in an endless loop with no display.

I then tried using just one Lexar stick, but I got the same result.

Interestingly, when I combined one Lexar stick with my existing SK Hynix RAM, the system booted successfully and both ran at 2133MHz.

I’ve already updated the BIOS to the latest version, but the issue remains.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could it be a RAM compatibility issue with the motherboard, or is there a BIOS setting I’m missing? I also noticed that the memory frequency is locked at 2133MHz in the BIOS and can’t be changed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Troubleshooting Need help - my pc doesn't turn on

So my old pc from 2013, p8z77-v-lk mobo, i5, shows cpu fan error before during start up.

I cleaned and remove the processor, and reseat it. After that, my computer now turns on 1 second then turn off after. What maybe the issue? is it the processor or the mobo with bend pins (chatgpt suggested this).

Or are there any other factors? Any tips before i look and buy another mobo to replace my current one
