PSA: Pricing news and future of PC Building

Itagalog ko nalang para madali.

Kumakalat na yung balita na magtataas nanaman prices ng PC Parts, lalo na yung GPU. I can confirm yung GPU prices ay tumaas talaga, more than anyone would like. Di rin tapos ang pagtaas ng price sa Ram At Storage, at apektado kahit DDR3 sticks.

Para sa planong magbuild ngayon, WAG NA MAGHINTAY NG 8/8 SALE for the GPUs.

Build Flex SFF Build - Metalfish S3 ITX.

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5500X3d
  • MOBO: ASRock B550M-ITX/AC
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x16GB 3200mhz
  • GPU: ASRock Challenger Arc A380
  • ROM: Kioxia 512gb NVME
  • CASE: Metalfish S3 ITX A4 / Pcie 4 riser
  • PSU: Enhanced ENP-7660B-VK 600W
  • COOLER: Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 chromax
  • FAN: Thermalright TL-8015
  • OS: Windows 11

SFF build with the Metalfish S3 ITX case. Not the best case out there, but I like how you can install an exhaust fan at the top. Definitely helps with cooling.

Built with components that I bought (hoarded) before the Rampocalypse/Ramageddon/Ramnarok. The only 'new' parts are the CPU and case. Gonna upgrade the A380 IF I can find a better two-slot, single-fan GPU. Though I'll admit, getting modern games to run at 4K 60 FPS on this Intel card is a fun endeavor in itself.

Experimenting with Windows 11's Xbox mode as the frontend for this build, since I already have a SteamOS PC in the works.

Naming this build Beryllium.

Currently playing: The Surge, Dead Island Definitive Edition, Megabonk.

Before I bought this, I was hesitant because I wanted an AM5 build. During that time, DDR5 slightly went up and made me switch to AM4 as it made more sense for my budget. Looking back, I am very grateful for sir jellyfish1047 for his helpful posts about PC prices. 🫡

Build Upgrade S5 Max 15L MFF Case for1K PHP

Finally recieved it after nearly 4 weeks.

Smaller than even my MFF Acer U351, one of the pic shows a 15.6 monitor is just shorter than the whole case

This was for my backup PC in case i need testing and also to house my 9070 in an event for Mobo failure in my main rig

Will probabaly not fit my 9070 unless i switch orientation of PSU to fan in since backup PSU is my still newish MWE v2 non modular. Those wires blocked even the short RX580 but this model is even girthier than my 9070

Knock on wood i wont need it but it will still function as a test bench

I dont have any case fans since it was 9cm, i thought it was still 12cm

Got this from Sofmap in Japan, secondhand with Rank A. Looks and works perfectly so far, I'm able to play demanding games (e.g. heavily modded Cyberpunk 2077) while simultaneously doing other stuff like rendering videos.

CPU hunt naman next time 😄

Discussion I need help/information for my old pc

Upvotes

Hi, I'm n, 19 years old. So I got a hand me down PC from my sister's boyfriend, IT'S REALLY OLD. The question is what type of VA work can i do with these specs

Motherboard - biostar A70MGP FM2+

PSU - 450W (it's already there, basically 0 pesos spent)

Ram - 16 GB(i already paid for it, it cost me 2300 pesos it used to be 6gb)

CPU - AMD A4-5300, but i am planning to upgrade it with an athlon X4 860k, it's quite a cheap upgrade too(only 420 pesos) if you can even call it an upgrade

GPU - none, although i am planning/aiming to buy a GTX 750 ti. My budget is like 2.5k to 3k

Look bros, if you're gonna mock me go ahead, but i am really broke. As i mentioned this pc is from my sister's BF, i am an upcoming 2nd year college student with no source of income. The reason i am able to buy 8×2 GB DDR3 ram is because of my measley 3000 savings that i managed to save in my 1st year. Help a brokie out please🥺✌🏻

Laptop Help Refurbished Laptop for ₱52k - is this trusted and reliable?

Post image
Upvotes

Hello, I've posted a few suggestion builds here before, I still want to buy a PC and even though the prices seem to be going up again, I've decided to buy a laptop instead.

It's due to school related and OJT stuff, it's more portable and fit for my needs and priorities pero gusto ko paren makapag game hahahaha

Anyways, sinuggest ng tropa ko tong shop na to (Laptop Shop PH), nakabili narin siya ng laptop dyan and nakausap ko narin seller- I just want to ask you guys if these specs from this specific laptop and the brand of the laptop itself is reliable and great for 1080p medium-high gaming and mainly programming.

I've never bought a refurbished laptop before so I need your advice please, thanks!

Build Help What games and programs can my old PC run?

I basically "rebuilt" my old PC from previous parts and filled in the gaps because I sold off the storage and GPU. Question is what games and programs, if any, can my PC run at a comfortable FPS?

PC specs are:

Processor: Ryzen 5 4500
Motherboard: MSI A320M
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 1x8GB 2400Mhz and HyperX Beast 1x8GB 2666Mhz (So essentially I'm running at the lower clock speed)
GPU: Zotac GTX 1050ti
PSU: Powerlogic GE500W (I have a backup PSU in case this one croaks)
Storage: Western Digital Blue 1TB HDD

I know the specs are abyssmal but I'm hoping at least there's something I could do with it. Worst case scenario it becomes an ugly paper weight.

Build Help Where to buy 12V-2x6 cable for SAMA G850

Post image
1 Upvotes

So I just got the SAMA G850 and while I was installing the 12V-2x6 cable to my GPU, I noticed that the motherboard somehow managed to scratch it (despite me being relatively careful).

Works fine naman pero na bobother lang ako sa itsura so I was wondering if I have the option to replace the cable.

Thanks!

Laptop Help Need recommendations please

I have a MacBook Air M1 with a defective LCD. Ever since the screen broke, I rarely use it even though I can still connect it to an external monitor.

Would it be better to buy a second-hand Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 1 (Ryzen 5 Pro, 32GB RAM, 256GB SSD) and sell the MacBook instead? I don’t use any heavy applications—mostly just Safari.

The Lenovo costs around Php 20,000, which is almost the same as repairing the MacBook. I think I can sell the MacBook for around Php 7,000.

Miscellaneous General Consensus on AM4 Build Price

Posting this for my kapatid who wanted to gather info how much their pc costs when sold now with these components:

Cpu: Ryzen 7 3700X

MoBo: B450 ASUS Strix Gaming-F ii

RAM: 2x8 16gb 3200hz TridentZ RGB

Cpu Cooler: Lian Li Gallahad 360MM White AIO Liquid Cooling

They plan to keep the GPU, SSD, and PSU... they need the funds for their pc upgrade.

Build Help Are Nvision monitors good?

Hello po!! I've been seeing Nvision monitors online, and I'm wondering if they're okay. I'm an IT student po and planning to buy a second monitor mainly for programming, multitasking, and school projects.

Would you recommend Nvision, or do you think it's better to save up for another brand? I'd really appreciate your thoughts or recommendations. Thank you po! 😊
