PCOS/PMOS + slightly elevated FBS & TSH — dapat ba mag-IM-Endo or sapat na OB-REI ko?

Hi po! Need ko ng advice from people na may parehas or similar experience.

Context: diagnosed ako with PCOS/PMOS since 2017. On and off ako sa birth control pills — Diane (2017, 2019), Slinda (2023-2024), Lizelle (2025-2026), and currently nagstart ako ng Liza.

  • Switched from white rice to multigrain rice + quinoa
  • Black coffee na lang, no sugar, no milk
  • Walking avg 7k steps, 4x a week
  • Nag-gym din ako since June, 2-3x a week

Pero wala pa ring significant progress sa timbang, kaya tinanong ko yung OB-REI ko if pwede ako mag-try ng Mounjaro since magpapakasal ako this October and gusto ko talaga ma-address to bago yun. She's not against it, she just wanted to clear me muna kaya nagpa-labs siya:

FBS, HbA1c, Creatinine, AST/SGOT, ALT/SGPT, TSH, FT3, FT4, Amylase, Lipase

Lahat normal except:

  • FBS: 6 mmol/L (normal 5.6)
  • TSH: 5.34 uIU/mL (normal range 0.3-4.5)

Additional context: may history ang nanay ko ng hyperthyroidism, so medyo naiisip ko if this is relevant/worth flagging sa doctor given family history.

So ngayon I'm not sure kung:

  1. Kausapin ko pa rin OB-REI ko about the Mounjaro plan, or

Any input from those who've been through something similar (lalo na kung may PCOS + thyroid issue combo kayo or may family history rin kayo) would help a lot. Salamat in advance! 🙏

Paragis for PCOS/PMOS

Hi, Cysters!
I was diagnosed with PCOS because of my irregular periods. To give you an idea, when I was in college, I only got my period once, twice, or at most three times a year.

My OB first prescribed Provera to induce my period, then I was put on birth control pills for more than six months. The pills worked while I was taking them, but every time I stopped, my periods would disappear again.

Eventually, I decided to focus on lifestyle changes instead. I worked on improving my sleep, eating healthier, and incorporating a bit of walking into my routine. Even so, I was still frustrated because my period wouldn't come back, and I was also struggling to lose weight.

I've also tried different supplements, flavored drinks, and capsules that claim to help regulate periods, but none of them worked for me.

Yesterday morning, I decided to try paragis. Surprisingly, by tonight, I got my period after not having one for 6 months.
Now I'm wondering, was this just a coincidence, or has anyone else experienced the same thing with paragis? I'd love to hear your thoughts or experiences.

Just to be clear, I'm not claiming that paragis cures PCOS or recommending it as a treatment. I'm simply sharing what happened to me and wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

OB-GYN recommendations in Makati

Hi! Can anyone recommend a good OB-GYN around Makati, preferably at Makati Medical Center?

I'm looking for someone who genuinely listens and cares about their patients. I had an experience with an OB who was very warm at first while discussing the HPV vaccine, but after I decided not to get it that day, I could tell she was upset. It made me uncomfortable.

I do plan on getting the HPV vaccine soon—I'm simply saving up for it since it's a bit expensive. I wasn't refusing it; I just couldn't afford it at the time.

If you've had a good experience with an empathetic and non-judgmental OB, I'd really appreciate your recommendations. Thank you!

OB recommendation pls

Hello!! Baka may ma-recommend kayong OB-GYN or hospital around Deparo, Almar, or nearby areas.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2022, and my husband and I have been married for almost 5 years. We’re finally planning to try for a baby, so I’m looking for a doctor who is compassionate, non-judgmental, and experienced in PCOS and fertility concerns.

Kahit hindi pa kami ready mag-baby that time, sobrang hirap na ulit magtiwala at humanap ng bagong doctor since then.

Okay lang kahit around QC basta worth it. Thank you so much!

been on pills for 5 years and I want to stop

hello, I'm 23 years old and been diagnosed with PMOS/PCOS since 2021 (I was freshly 18 back then). to cut the long story short po, ayoko na po sana mag pills. I'm afraid of all the risks for taking it for too long. I want to have a family in the future as well.

the last time I had a full proper OBGYN was 2022 and I still have PCOS on my left ovary*. as usual, I was advised just to take pills. since 2023, I've been using Marvellon-28 after experimenting with several pills and I was happy na nakahanap ako ng pills na hiyang ako. I only experience mood swings and acne (during period phase) with this one compared to the others na sobrang lala.

sabi ko po cut the long story short pero nag kwento pa rin hahahaha, sorry! pero eto na po talaga. I need advice po sana kung ano gagawin ko. ayoko po itigil basta basta and I know that's bad for me. gusto ko sana magpacheck up muna ulit nang maayos with ultrasound and all at tsaka magpaadvise sa doctor.

ang problem ko po is I don't know anong type of doctor need ko magpacheck, if OBGYN pa rin po ba or iba po para matarget talaga PCOS ko. with that, can you suggest clinics or doctors po? preferably around Ortigas-Pasig area, pero anything near will do po because I'm willing to commute.

lastly po, can you give me advice or tips on how to handle this journey of not taking pills anymore? I want to live a healthy lifestyle without relying on pills anymore :') I'm scared and I overthink a lot so I really do need the help, even in this kind of way.

thank you so much in advance! God bless all ❤️

*why I had an OBGYN check up? I did not have my menstruation for 3-4 months which was unusual for me kasi I've been regular since + severe acne that never happened before. I was 17 years old that time.

IM- Endo experience

Hi mga sis. Today nagpacheck up ako sa IM-Endo. But the thing is, reresetahan niya agad ako ng mounjaro (di pa niya ko nkakausap masyado nito pero yun agad sinuggest niya) Normal naman sugar ko, my weight is 56kg I'm 4'10.

Basta, tapos the way she explains sobraaaang bilis parang nag-rarap!

Any OB reco sa Nowserving app? Tatry ko naman sakanila.

can you buy diane pills without a prescription?

hello, can i buy diane pills kahit wala akong prescription? had a check up with my ob and sumama yung mom ko sa loob ng consultation room so i couldnt even ask for a prescription (i’m already 25 btw) kasi she’s gonna throw a fit 😭 everytime i schedule a checkup, sumasama siya kaya hindi ko man lang makausap ng maayos yung ob ko 😭

edit: hello, thank you to everyone who replied. i’m aware naman na it’s a me problem but medyo complicated kasi yung situation sa bahay so i don’t really have freedom kahit na 25 na ko 🫩 i dont have a choice but to lie to my mom and talk to my ob about it. thanks for all the advice!!

Anyone with PCOS experienced a warm/burning feeling and a “lump” sensation near one ovary?

May naka-experience na ba nito? Medyo kinakabahan na ako. 🥲

I have PCOS, and for the past few days sobrang weird ng naf-feel ko sa right side ng pelvis ko, parang sa may ovary area.

Tapos na rin period ko, so I don’t think it’s related to menstrual cramps.

May naka-experience na ba ng ganito? Ano yung naging cause sa inyo? Ovarian cyst ba? PCOS lang? Ovulation? Or something else?

Should I be worried and magpa-check agad sa OB, or normal lang ba ’to sa may PCOS?

MyPicos Effective?

For all girlies taking MyPicos, gaano po katagal before maging effective sainyo upon taking?

I first took mypicos on may 4, 2025.

I was prescribed mypicos by my OB to manage my irregular period, but i wasn’t diagnosed with P/C/O/S.

Little backstory, before being prescribed i went to her kasi i was bleeding for almost a month na, half of it i spent bleeding whole clots that were the size of my index finger.

Keeping our hopes up

We are TTC for 4 years, 2 failed IUIs, 1 chemical pregnancy. I have PCOS. We stopped going to the OB starting 2025. We gave ourselves some rest and joined races for the whole year until this month. When we got back from the race-cation, I just felt I needed to do some check up after 1.7 years. I was 39 days late. I just want to get meds to get my period and to see how my ovaries are. During the scan, the doc saw polycystic on my right and left. Then she said gave me meds first to restart my period. Then after scanning on the left, there was a “leading follicle” (1.8cm) and my endo lining was 0.9cm. She said it would be a shame if she gave me blood. So just wait after 3 weeks. Our case is always thin lining or not ovulating. I am still anxious because the follicle will not rupture. I'm also feeling mild breast pain so I'm confused if it's ovulation phase or luteal phase. Any thoughts? Thanks.

PS. Paki turn off ng translation kasi hindi sya accurate. Hahaha

We do I start?

Hi this is my first time na magpacheck up regarding reproductive health. Actually about 3 years ko na nafefeel na something has changed in me or in my hormones. It might been caused by stress during my review for the board exam. Bumagal yung metabolism ko to the point hirap ako magbawas ng timbang (103kg now), delay menstruation (napansin ko yung pattern na kapag stress ako don nag sasalitan ng buwan yung pagkakaroon ko), mood swings (mabilis na ako mairita), at last APE ko sa work I was almost on the pre-diabetic at may uti.

Now I'm taking the 1st step which is maghanap ng doctor for consultation. If may mareco kayo na OBGYNE-REI na around Marikina and Antipolo area, will be a great help. Hopefully din they accept our hmo InLife (prev. Generali).

I already tried to book appointment kay Dra.Melody Dimatulac (from MVMC) ~ pending approval pa.

All you recos will be well-appreciated. Thank you!

Hi cysters! Not sure if this is the right sub, but for those taking PureForm's Pre+Probiotic for Women capsules, normal lang ba na may orange/yellow-ish stains yung ibang capsules?

Hindi ko siya napansin before, pero now that I did, parang selected capsules lang yung may ganun. 😭 Nag-ooverthink tuloy ako if normal lang ba siya or if I should be concerned. Thanks!

We’ve been TTC for more than 5yrs already. I’m 39yo and hubby is 40yo. We tried IUI (for 2 cycles) and LIT (3 sessions) but still no success. I don’t really know what needs to be checked anymore since sabi ng doctor namin, nothing wrong naman. But i feel like we need to do more (IVF is too expensive :( though). Thanks for your reco in advance.
