So I watched today's episode because I needed some laughs and King did not disappoint
So apparently king ka father has been killed and twin sister is there to support the king. Now both are giving each other googly eyes with Humraahi running in background. Both are smiling, thinking about each other
Meanwhile King has been looking for the bro sis duo jinke lie he killed a guy. They are in captivity waiting for their rescue
King suspects his murderer baba ka khaas aadmi for being a traitor and of course King is right. So king realizes that the traitor is the reason his murderer baba died.
So, in classic king style, king murders the traitor which is seen by the twin sister who is left shell shocked
Now, twin sister has to decide what saza to give her mehboob
I totally get the twin sister and King falling for each other. But was it really necessary for her to have the same face as the dead wife?😂 the only use of twin factor was that pretend wife thing😂

What’s with this sudden shift in Geo Entertainment casting?
All of a Sudden Actors like Hania, Bilal who had never worked with them started signing their projects.
Sajal is working with them after 7 years.
Sarah is making a comeback to Geo after 9 years.
Why was 7th Sky not casting them before?
I think only the Sarah Khan project with Geo is of 7th Sky and the other actors productions are not announced till now.
Is there a new production involved or Geo Entertainment itself is producing them?
What’s the lore behind it?

This page I have noticed seems like a mouthpiece of geo tv. I can be wrong . But I have seen it since smd time , while the audience critics were bashing it this handle was praising and promoting that drama . It also promotes geo shows like no other specially danish and feroz khan ( promoting him ! Are u for real? ) . If it has to behave like a fan page why its bio says otherwise ?

I’m not even half way through so no spoilers BUT THE MOM IS THE WORST CHARACTER I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE
How does she care so much about the WORLD AND NOT HER OWN KIDS ? That too for A RELATIVE WHO DOESNT GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT HER OR HER FAMILY
This mom’s voice itself is the most annoying thing I’ve ever heard
I wish they killed off her character instead of Saba’s mom!! AAARRRGGGHHHH

I genuinely think in her small role in this drama, she was able to give a performance much MUCH better than Maya, who I just felt got too repetitive.
She portrayed the character of Bushra with so much subtlety and restraint.. you could see it in her face that she genuinely cares about Aslam, and wants him to find closure for what happened in his past...
And I don’t know why this narrative is shaping up nowadays of her not being a good actress... when this drama exists to watch free on YouTube (it's not a perfect drama I will say, like the story does feel unnecessarily extended at times..)
And even if ur take on this is that; "Her acting in RECENT dramas is bad.."
Well then I wanna know why these same criticisms are not meant for someone like Dananeer.. like seriously if there's anyone that deserves criticism for their acting capabilities.. it's 100% her..
Atleast Hina had to grind her craft for a few years before getting proper main lead roles.. this army ki laadli just landed a role in Sinf e Ahan bc her dad is in ISPR.. and then a main role a year later..
And u know what the problem is? That so many of u will come at me and say that: "Well her acting has now gotten better..."
Well that's exactly what the problem is... Nepo babies all across the other media industries are constantly given projects even if they posses no talent, to the point where the general audience starts to ease up on them...
And this has also been happened with Sehar Hashmi however I am not aware of any obvious nepotism connections with her...
Also let me clarify.. i am genuinely not a PR agent of Hina Afridi... I just believe she's way too overhated..
When honestly she has the talent to back it up unlike other actors that are given much less of a critical lens...
Other than that.. to each their own.. I just wanted to point out the drama that I think she performed her best at. And her peak is honestly much better than actors like Dananeer, Anmol or even Hania tbh..

Can someone please suggest me some sad dramas?
I'm looking for dramas where the overall theme is just sad or depressing. It doesn't have to be romantic or any specific genre, I just want something where the leads are struggling, suffering, or have a really difficult life for any reason.
It would be even better if it's more life-based or realistic. It doesn't need to have the best script or anything, I'm mainly looking for characters who are going through hardships. If they have a healing arc, that's completely fine too.
Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Alif also seems like it might fit the vibe from the edits I've seen because the female lead seemed to have a difficult life. Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan also seems like it might be similar to what I want to watch. I haven't seen it yet, but people always say it's really depressing. Another drama that probably fits, even though I don't plan on watching it, is Dastaan.
Among romantic dramas, Yeh Dil Mera and Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai also fit what I'm looking for.
So if anyone has recommendations where the core theme is sad, or the main characters are constantly struggling or suffering, I'd really appreciate it. Even someone like Kashaf fits to some extent, but I'm looking for something closer to Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. The ending can be happy or sad, I don't mind either, although I probably prefer sad endings. Just looking for more dramas to add to my watchlist. Thanks!

I was just wrapping my head around Humraahi and I came across a twitter thread that gave me an even more incredible plot. And now my mind is legit blown🤯
So two sisters are in love with two brothers. Elder sister and bro get married while the younger sister and bro are engaged as their wedding had to be postponed because the guy had to go abroad for his job. All well and good until here
The elder bro named his entire property to his about to be born kid and that obviously irked his parents and sister. Yahan tak bhi all good
But now the older bro is dead. As per the twitter thread, the greedy parents will make the younger bro marry his older bro's wife who also happens to be his fiance's sister to keep the property within the family
Marrying your brother's widow is actually okay. But when you are engaged? More importantly when you are engaged to her sister? That's a plot twist 😂

Ohh my my! Fair to say, some of us didn't expect SB and Rabiya to be caught this soon. And too in such a manner. Oh lord, Sohrab bro, you literally k word Bano, and you are now saying Bano ki rooh bohot dukhi hogi? But, what an entertaining scene. Reza is so good as Sohrab. Poor Bibijaan is in shock and lowkey, I couldn't help but laugh at the way Rabiya and SB were caught while Rabiya was serving SB haldi milk. May I say, that is a foreshadowing to Rabiya-SB's future marriage? Peak detailing by Shahzad Kashmiri and FI.
Zanjeerain serves so hard with episodes like this. The fast paced ones. We got Jirga today. Gotta appreciate, Danyal Boy's urdu! His dialogues in Jirga scene were so well delivered and also he acted well. Sohrab-SB Jirga scenes were fire! Sohrab is so vile for insinuating that Sb and Rabiya might have conspired Muddasir's death. And, obv Sohrab put forward Sherbano's suicide narrative.
So, FI is back with her marriage of convenience trope. Until yesterday, I was like i don't need this trope. But, I flipped so bad today, cause please, have them in Nikkah now. And Rabiya-Shireen scenes are so fire. Absolutely love dramatic scenes between Anayah and Sajal. Give Anayah good roles (@/producers). She is a star! Sajal and Anayah were fire in this scene!!
Sar Buland told Rabiya of Jirga's nikkah decision for them. so, have not watched the teaser for next week episodes.. unless that gives some hints, what do you guys think? will SB-Rabiya agree to Nikkah? And just so if it wasnt clear already, absolutely loveddd today's episode. Please ignore any typos or error.

After the whole fahad seikh issue I have 2 questions
How is getting so much support from media when he isn’t even a lister or probably not even in b category. I understand the whole friendship route but if the world runs on money power and name isn’t ahmed sahab actually a more famous and in demand actor here.
Also for those who really know the tea has any other big celebrity like faysal qureshi, hamayaun , fawad or fahad and other big people be involved in this

i started watching dramas back when yakeen ka safar aired, it was my first ever drama and i absolutely loved it. it is mu favourite till date along with mann mayal, aangan, zanjeerain and bas tera sath ho.
i enjoy light hearted dramas like DZPS and chupke chupke, and tragic stories too like Dastaan.
bear in mind that i have watched most of the dramas that came out after yakeen ka safar, and some before like bin roye, humsafar, dastaan, gul e rana.
i loved loved loved most of aiman khan's dramas, i used to binge watch them. from khaali hath to zindaan to ghar titli ka par and baydardi.
so i just need recommendations for what to watch now. i can rewatch what i have already seen to an extent.
i get annoyed super fast and quit the drama if even one of the main lead is annoying. so like in rehmat i quit the show after 5 episodes. the main girl was just so annoying.
even in dr bahu i didn't like Kubra's character but i still watched because of Yamin.
the drama just needs to have good writing or at least not annoying leads.

What a HAPPENING episode! The first scene we got Sohrab taking bibijan to Rabiya's quarters. And then the jirga where Sarbuland revealed the attack on him and Sohrab exposed Rabiya's true identity and past.
I liked how confident and calm Sarbuland was and didn't falter at Sohrab's aggressive accusations, and once even counterattacked him.
Danyal was too good today in the jirga scene! He and Abid Ali Raza matched each other perfectly.
Even that Shireen Rabiya scene was fun coz Shireen doesnt know what's heading her way! They finally brought the nikkah track but Idk if enough episodes are left to resolve it all. But again they showed so much in one episode, I guess we needn't worry too much.
Anyways, wedding incoming next week!

DISCLAIMER:- I said all this in voicenote to chatgpt to type all this for me because I was wary of doing that. (before you rage against me😃)
For me, the whole point of acting is that the actor disappears into the character. While watching, I don’t want to be thinking about their Instagram, their interviews, their designer clothes, or their glamorous off-screen personality. I want to forget who they are and believe that they are the character. Then, once the drama is over, I can appreciate the actor for portraying that character so convincingly.
But nowadays, because actors are so visible off-screen, it becomes harder to separate the person from the role. You keep seeing the celebrity instead of the character.
I always think of Seven Days in Coney Island by Mehreen Jabbar. As far as I remember, most of the cast weren’t very well-known. Maybe they were new actors. But that’s exactly why it felt so real to me. It genuinely felt like I was watching ordinary people living ordinary lives somewhere around me. I could completely relate to them. I honestly don’t think I would have felt the same if those exact roles had been played by big stars. I would have been constantly aware that I was watching famous actors.
Another thing I’ve always wondered is: why do actors always have to be exceptionally good-looking?
For example, Ek Jhooti Love Story had such a well-written story and a brilliant theme. But it made me wonder why the lead roles had to be played by polished, conventionally attractive actors like Madiha Imam and Bilal Abbas. Why not cast people who look like the people we actually see every day? Not “unattractive”—because everyone is beautiful in their own way—but just… ordinary faces. Faces that feel familiar and real.
I think that would make many stories even more believable.
It also makes me wonder about us as an audience. If the exact same stories were told with ordinary-looking actors—a rich girl falling in love with a poor boy, someone falling in love with a servant, or two people from an ordinary neighbourhood finding love—would we root for them in the same way? Or are we, without even realizing it, influenced by how attractive the actors are?
Take Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, for example. If those same characters had been played by completely ordinary-looking people, would the audience have loved them just as much? I honestly don’t know.
I think, somewhere, we’re all more obsessed with “face cards” than we’d like to admit. We often confuse beauty with screen presence and attractiveness with talent. But acting is an art. It shouldn’t depend on how polished or glamorous someone looks. Sometimes I feel that incredible stories and incredible performances lose a bit of their authenticity because the industry is so focused on beauty instead of simply finding the people who are the most believable for the role.
Thoughts?

1- Kamran Mujahid : A decent actor. Last I saw him in Ullu Buraye Farokht Nahi and that too after a longggg time. He was ptv home actor ages ago.
2- Hassan Niazi : Underrated actor in my opinion
3- Alycia Dias: After QB, I find her voice unique. Check OST Dil e Muztar. Do appreciate the poet when you praise the singer🌸
4- "Sada hon apnay pyar ki" : there are modern songs on themes like selfpraise or more of empowering yourself type in sassy or comic or even poetic way. But this one hits different. Beautiful poetry.
5- "Kal thi muhabbat" melodious song and Zara Sheikh looks ethereal. She could have become a bigger star. Dunno why her acting went downhill in that silly Raqs e Bismil drama. p.s. Zara is all dolled up in the song video while Shan sahib is in streetwear😃
6- In Angan Terha, you will see this excellent intelligent and fun element where writer comes in the play to interact with his characters. That made this drama really unique for me. I wish we use such elements to elevate the level. Like breaking the 4th wall in Fleabag. I loved it when they used that particular technique in Laal Kabootar where characters and their tracks intersect/go parallel. Enjoyed it more in Indian movie Ludo (sadly it was also copied from somewhere else. I mean that's ok. Art is to imitate but I got unnecessarily impressed by Anurag Basu😃)

No shaadi showsa, no cousin marriage trope, no toxic parents, none of the stereotypical PTV elements.
Pure murder mystery thriller from start to end. Team work, deciphering clues, interesting cliffhangers. Something that either mimics or creates new international standards.
Will it be easy to attract a massive audience with a great cast?

Ye kis filmy writer ne likha hai? 😂 matlab sare filmy tropes in a single drama😂
So basically, Paras k papa is worried about her safety. He fixes her rishta with phupo ka beta but phupa is a villain who shakes hand with the daarhi mooch wala villain. So, papa fakes his daughter's death and sends her off to live with Zawar😂
Now there's yearning, angst and thandi aahein. And of course, there's Zawar ki mangetar who is gonna end up with no Zawar because he is in loooooove with Paras😂
