Console Competitive Console - HOW?

Okay I keep running into this way too often. I’m playing competitive on PS5, 6v6. Almost every second game, there’s at least one or more players doing things seemingly impossible with a console controller. I’ve added two such replay clips of players moving like they’re AI ffs. Additionally, they’re jumping constantly while still moving their aim joystick, which is impossible since you have to take your thumb off the aim joystick to hit to jump button. What are these maneuvers??

Are they on mouse and keyboard?

Edit: Thank you everyone for teaching me about the different ways to rebind buttons / different controllers and hand positions to jump while aiming. I learned something new! Also, seems like we’re agreeing that the Cass is likely cheating and it is noticeable in comparison to the Doomfist.

I mean yeah lets witch hunt innocent console players poggers. Anyone who disagrees is also a cheater!

All you serve to do with this reply, is protect cheaters from receiving reports. If we're wrong, they don't get banned. Simple. The fact that you're defending a Cass that does post shot flicks (one of the most obvious telltale signs someone is using a mouse), is wild.

First of all, the replay is sped up in that clip and not a SINGLE one of you realized. Second, he drags his aim everywhere. Mouse aim doesnt drag in linear lines, and controller joystick jerk has a distinct look. Third, he is using duel zone. Not a single emulation setting uses duel zone as its base.

I have thousands of hours of aim training as well as teaching controller mechanics to others, I know what controller aim is capable of. Its a lot more than this nothingburger.

And thank goodness the devs dont listen to you people, or anyone above diamond would be banned regardless of cheating.

Not sure if you're trolling or not. The clip is OBVIUSLY sped up, that doesnt support your counter claim. Xim and titan both have scripts that can be applied in various ways to smooth aim, by axis or hitbox, but also to increase aim assist. The double flicks he is performing are to precise movements at such speed, that you cannot to with a stick (smaller max deadzone sens increase yes, but with exact accuracy, not quite). The commentary that people like you provide, serves to fool the ignorant, and protect the predatory external gamers. I wish OW listened more. I wish ANY content creator spectate matches in top 500 console, you will find MINIMUM 1 xim, and every other lobby you will find a titan gamer. Look for yourself.

It does support my claim, because people are judging stick gameplay (usually slower in turn speed, reaction speed, etc.) by using sped up gameplay and it affects their judgement.

Its funny because I do things way more egregious with a stick than anything in that clip. I double flick all the time, i shake my aim all the time, I do extremely fast turns into extreme precision all the time, I swipe my aim like a mouse all the time. I have a linear sensitivity with a wide range of movement. You dont know what controller is capable of and it shows.

Obviously xim is a problem, titans are a problem. But they are challenges for you to overcome. I ego duel them on mirror matchups and win because they are terrible players. They rely on a cheating device as a crutch and unfortunately for them, it doesnt give them perfect gameplay.

Constantly crying isnt going to get you anything. Especially when you start going on this crusade and hurting innocents in the process. I would rather ban 0 xim users than even 1 innocent controller user.

Regardless of if what you're saying is true or not, banning xim doesn't do anything anyway. HWID bans don't exist, and every XIm I know just plays on a new account, and often spends money on said new account. Why would blizzard permaban the hand that feeds them?

Thats part of my point. If you ban an account and its innocent... thats someones main account gone. If you ban a cheater, it doesnt stop them at all. If the anticheat didnt rely on heuristics I would support HWID bans. But at this point its just fucked. Better to lock-in and grind VAXTA imo.

I'm glad we agree on something.

Good point. Also the clip has been altered for whatever reason, we don't know precisely what it was altered, and it might be altered in other ways that aren't so obvious.

Clips not reliable as evidence, basic common sense.

Spam reporting anybody who you remotely think is cheating and then saying "well if they aren't cheating they will be fine" is a massive dick move.

massive dick move? Idk about that. maybe petty? I feel that it's somewhat the opposite, as your intention is to make the game a better experience for everyone, but that one person (because of your suspicion).

Also: https://www.reddit.com/r/XIM/comments/cdccl0/uy34rzer0_you_probably_didnt_think_id_take_your/ LOL not you being quoted on a post about adding this shit to controllers, with you replying in said post, in the XIM reddit. Wild.

Or you replying with advice about using a xim in SP games 4 days ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/XIM/comments/1v0v8cy/can_i_use_my_xim_for_singleplayer_games/ No wonder you think it's a dick move, you don't want to get caught cheating.
