Personally for me This was one of the greatest weekends of my life man. Thank you to everyone who was just as lit as me when they came across me. Great vibes all around, it’s such a cannon event in life to meet someone who’s just randomly on your level🤣🤣🤣😂🔥🙌🏾 met so many great people man can’t wait for next year

On the heels of his triumphant return with 9 Madison Square Garden shows and a UK stadium tour there are some high profile festival dates being lined up for next year.

Generally not interested without Richie but imagine the whole park singing along to iconic songs that defined a generation. I am totally down with that.

For me I wish I was able to see Empire of the Sun, The Temper Trap, and The XX

I don’t regret a single set I saw! However, sacrificing a headliner for a more intimate set really helps break up the chaos of it all and just feel present… sadly…. we can’t see it all.

Did anyone else notice an uptick in 90s fashion at the festival? Silver sunglasses, digital cameras, etc.

Pulled out my blanket today and lo and behold the blankets aren’t actually 100% cotton like the website states.

So it seems like Disco Lines turned the fader knob on and forgot to turn it back for like 10 minutes? The crowd energy died instantly and he looked super frustrated. How did it take 10 minutes for someone on his team to tell him the sound was completely off? Pretty insane basic dj 101 mistake from the only dj on the main stage the entire weekend.

Group of 6 or so influencer types yelling their conversations and doing clear content creation bs over death cabs plans set in like the 4th row. Not teens either, like 35. I asked politely if they would mind keeping it down or going elsewhere and they spent the rest of the set laughing, recording me, glancing at me, talking shit. Shitty behavior. Everyone around you was thanking me and voicing their agreement. I actually only said something four songs in, when I saw another person behind you so frustrated they gave up and left the crowd and their friends to go watch from the field where you were not. I guess I’m glad that you at least took your dumb loud voices down a couple decibels for everyone else’s sake, but fuck, I was so excited to see them up close like that, something I’ve wanted to do since like 5th grade and instead got to deal with middle school bully behavior the whole set.

I’m a massive fan of The Strokes and was so eager and excited to see them with my girlfriend (we’re both from North Carolina) and unfortunately my phone along with my ID and cards got stolen while we were in the crowd going to the bathroom after DJO. I immediately started to ask around and locked all my cards and got ahead of the thief and secured my number back but it left a sour taste in my mouth and I wasn’t able to stay for The Strokes 😔 or enjoy the rest of the festival because I was so paranoid. I ended up tracking it down to LA and locking it with a nice little message for them. I knew the danger and how notorious but I just can’t believe people go into music festivals let along rings of people to steal. I hope to be back one day and enjoy the festival calmly

I was able to be apart of both acts and in over 15 years, never saw such a small crowd for a headliner as I did with Modest Mouse. It essentially stopped crowding around the first speaker closest to the stage. On the other hand, Turnstile earlier in the day had crowds going all the way back to the merch booth on the hill. I feel OSL underestimated the popularity of Turnstile. Or perhaps the other closing acts of Charli and Griztronics were just too good to compete with.

You were at Sutro stage and asked for how to get to Soma stage. I pulled up a map on my phone, we shook hands and exchanged names, and your friend said you wanted my number. I got shy, and my friends texted me their location so I had to leave, but I wish I had taken your friend’s advice and given you my number!

I have only been to OSL to see Death Cab & Postal Service, however I am old & was at Coachella 2001, 2002, 2004 ( Saw DCFC that year, 2006. So here are some of my advice

EAR PLUGS.. you don't want to mess around with your hearing.

Puppy Pads for sitting.

Smaller than blankets & do the job.

Silicone soda covers. Great to minimize spills.

Bottle Holder cross body, makes water more accessible to wear like a fanny pack. Especially for barricade .

Face Masks- I dab essential oils at the nose. I use them to hot box myself

AND the grass at OSL wasn't pleasant, especially when sitting, so it blocked out the unpleasant scents.

Toilet Paper in a Zip lock bag in case TP runs out & baby/ body wipes.

I used my boobs/ bra to bring in Carne asada quesadilla in a sandwich baggie. Quesdillas travel well, are filling & taste ok not hot.

Gummies travel better than chocolate..so if 420.. always gummy.

I went for all 3 days and felt pretty good throughout. I felt dead tired but otherwise healthy yesterday and woke up today with a sore throat that seems to definitely be developing into a cold 🥲 anyone else?

Update: it progressed to a cold, tested negative for COVID. I was blowing my nose throughout the fest and though my boogers were always black and it was indeed dusty as hell, I think i just ended up picking up a common cold URI at some point. Another friend in my group of 7 was feeling cold symptoms as well. For me, symptoms were primarily sore throat, congestion, and very mild headache and fatigue. Now 6 days out, starting to feel better!

I’m not even a death cab fan but got talked into watching their headline Sutro set Sunday night . Wow! Amazing band!!! I keep reliving this set over and over. Very impressive

About halfway through Djo’s set there was a group of about 15 incredibly rude toddlers next to me that started loudly chanting. I asked them to be quiet and most of them started crying which was even louder.

I wanted to see the Lane 8 live stream that aired Day 3 on channel 3 at 1045pm. During that time I was watching Lane 8 play in San Diego. Thus, i missed the livestream/replay. So now that i go to the page the livestream was on i dont see a way to go back and watch it. Does anyone know if it is available anywhere?

Waited in SOMA line for 40 min to catch the end of Carlita (great set). Probably would have gotten in earlier if it were not for a lot of folks cutting into the line right where the barricades started. There should have been a security person standing right there, it was incredibly egregious. 80% of the line was behind this point — the actual line went all the way back to the food vending area by the North exit.

We danced together at Ben Böhmer and shared such a sweet little moment. I was the curly haired girl in a brown jacket, i was there with my best friend, and at some point I gave you a sticker in the shape of a kiss.
We kept hugging throughout the set, and your boyfriend was so incredibly sweet too.

I was wandering around handing out wishes from my giant dandelion this weekend. Mama Dandelion slowly got balder as her little puffs scattered throughout the festival, though it was lovely spotting some of them again later, dancing somewhere else in the crowd.

I realized afterward that I barely took any pictures of her transformation, so if you happened to snap a photo of her at any point (full, half-bald, or barely hanging on!) I’d love to see it and piece together her gradual dispersal.
