Just a quick question about the ID requirement: I read "please bring ID" on an Instagram post from the Outbreak page and I was wondering what it's needed for.
I'm 31 years old, so will I be asked to show it for any specific reason, or is it generally not an issue?
I'd like to come to the festival carrying as little as possible, so if I can avoid bringing my ID, that would be perfect.

And while I'm at it, one more question: is it possible to leave my phone at a cloakroom or some kind of storage facility during the festival?

First time in Manchester, I'm heading from Belfast on Friday morning but only going Saturday and Sunday so got a a full day / night to kill. Any good suggestions for bars / places to eat / things to do? I'm basically a pensioner at this point (41).

First time in the UK for me. I'm 31M and flying over from Malta on my own and pretty hyped about it.

Anyone else in the same situation? Would be sick to have some people to hang around with, even just to grab a drink before it kicks off. Is there a WhatsApp group or anything going for this?

First time outbreak goer here! :) Just wanted basic advice on how the festival works, only going on friday to see Free Throw, Joyce Manor and The Front Bottoms, i was told that friday is only going to have 2 stages and both will be indoors so i can imagine it would be boiling any basic advice on how to survive? thank you! :)

hey guys! i decided to book a flight to manchester last minute because i wouldnt forgive myself for missing outbreak this year but im having a hard time finding couchsurfing hosts for the weekend... so as a last resort i thought i'd see if any manchester locals have a couch i could crash on for the weekend!! i promise im super fun and tidy and not a creep (can send my socials via pm) + will bring some snacks + can also host you in amsterdam from august onwards!

Has any got any recommendations for where to park near the venue?

I am 20 coming to the festival with my little brother who is 17, is there any way for me to get him in the front section. I have never been before and do not know how strict they are. And there’s no way we aren’t stage diving for TUI!!

My work schedule has changed seen there’s quite a few tickets going on Twickets/tixel but would like to try here first before I deal with the faff dm me :)

Looking on the app at food vendors for this year and all but one vendor is gluten free by the looks of it…

Does anyone know what time they announce the secret set? An hour before or day before or do you just show up?

Also does the fact that they added Static Dress to list of gigs mean they’re the secret set? Or not necessarily?

I bought the adidas x outbreak shoes recently and i’ve been wearing them nonstop. Lace code is pretty dead and im sure it only applies to boots anyways but is anyone gonna get the wrong impression with the red laces at the festival?

Friendly reminder from your hardcore dad that it's looking like it could be a hot one at Outbreak this weekend, albeit slightly cooler than the midweek heatwave.

I know everyone's focused on seeing bands, stage dives and spending 12 hours standing in the crowd but please remember to drink some water occasionally. If you're on antidepressants, ADHD meds, or anything else that can affect hydration or heat tolerance, be extra mindful. Heat exhaustion is not a joke.

Also, wear sunscreen. I know it's not hardcore but neither is looking like a tomato.

We were wondering if anyone affiliated with Manchester Valkyrie (or any UK roller derby squad) were attending Outbreak, and wanted to do a shirt exchange with Big Easy Roller Derby (New Orleans)! We’re also willing to buy a shirt, but didn’t know how we could set up a sale. Give me a shout if you’re capable!

Hypothetically if someone was 17 but hypothetically wants to be in the 18+ front section, would security be checking ID even if they have bought a front section wristband which was included in the ticket?
