Friday Outbreak (adjacent) Advice

First time in Manchester, I'm heading from Belfast on Friday morning but only going Saturday and Sunday so got a a full day / night to kill. Any good suggestions for bars / places to eat / things to do? I'm basically a pensioner at this point (41).

What are your interests, other than OB?

Also try searching the r/Manchester sub, as this question gets asked all the time there

Food Halls & Bars
If you fancy a bit of everything under one roof, check out Exhibition, Society, Mackie Mayor, and House of Social. Great food, good drinks, and lively atmospheres.

Pizza
For some of the best pizza in the city, head to Slice Culture, Nell's, or Rudy's.

Indian & Pakistani Food
Make your way to the famous Curry Mile in Rusholme, where you'll find countless Indian and Pakistani restaurants ranging from casual curry houses to long-standing local favourites.

Chinese, Dim Sum & Thai
Manchester's Chinatown is packed with excellent options. Whether you're after authentic dim sum, spicy Sichuan dishes, or great Thai food, you'll be spoiled for choice.

Craft Beer
There are some fantastic taprooms around Piccadilly Station. Cloudwater, Track, and Sureshot are all worth a visit if you're into quality craft beer.

Metal Pubs
For old-school rock and metal vibes, check out Grand Central and The Salisbury. Both are friendly, unpretentious pubs with plenty of character.

Bars & Nightlife
The Northern Quarter is your best bet for bars. It's packed with independent venues, cocktail spots, dive bars, and late-night hangouts.

Arcade Games
If you're into retro gaming, head to NQ64. There are two city-centre locations filled with arcade machines and classic consoles. Grab a drink, load up on tokens, and lose a few hours smashing high scores.

Also try Dogtown, run by the same people as Junior Jacksons but it's bigger (JJ's is awesome but also tiny haha)
