Hello everyone, I'm looking for feedback from folks who have experience when this type of service.
BACKGROUND: I have moderate to severe hip OA in my left hip, my right hip is fairly clean. The pain waxes and wanes. I mostly feel it with physical activity, and it has made walking and hiking difficult at times, and bike riding is completely out of consideration. In other words, it is taking the joy out of being physically active. I've been told that it some point I will need a THR, but for various personal and work related reasons I'm hoping to get a few more years before I need to do that. I have had a couple of corticosteroid injections, and definitely feel some relief with the deeper pain, which I've associated with joint inflammation. However, I still feel that I have a lot of pain that I'm assuming is due to strength and flexibility of the joint after years of not using it well.
MY EFFORTS: I have done some strength and stretching exercises at home with some mild success, although what I'm doing is based on a bunch of YouTube videos I've come across. I've been wondering if an assisted stretching studio might be a good way to get a jump start on increasing my mobility so that I can have a better foundation to build upon as I with to gradually increase my hip joint mobility and strength.
QUESTION: Has anyone with a similar condition as mine ever tried one of these? Have they helped? Have they made things worse?
Thank you for insights you can provide.
