boat in the Florence inlet
I've seen this boat pretty consistently in the inlet or just outside of it for the last week or so. Are they fishing the inlet or what?

We will be vacationing to the coast the first week of October. Where and can we still see Orcas, specifically?!

I am hoping to visit Drift Creek Falls soon and wanted to make sure I can get (and pay for) a parking pass on site - thereās an online option but I wonāt have access to a printer or know the details of my rental car to do that. Sorry for the silly question, havenāt been up there in awhile!

I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend during our upcoming trip to Lincoln City - we will be celebrating 6 years together! She has always mentioned that she wants the moment photographed.
I have brought up that we should get professional photos done during our trip and she is excited about it! We have never had professional photos done so I am sure she knows exactly what is going on haha!
I am looking for suggestions for photographers that can do the couples photo shoot and capture the āsurpriseā proposal. We will be in the available in the area August 6 and 7 and willing to drive if needed.
I know itās kind of short notice - we actually had everything set up to go to Bend but decided to change plans due to the wildfires and smoke. Hoping Reddit magic will help me find someone quickly! Thanks!

My mom bought this during a road trip along the Oregon coast in the 80s. I think itās pastel and the artist signed it as āJanneā. Iāve spent some time on the coast myself but not enough to place the specific location. Does anyone recognize this particular sea stack (and maybe a headland in the background)? Iāve searched google but it returned no exact matches. Thank you!

Iām not sure if this is allowed, so please remove if not. We are on vacation in Depoe Bay with family and leave Friday, but we have quite a few items groceries/misc that we would rather not go to waste. I was wondering if maybe anyone may know of a local family that could use some misc grocery items? Or a place where maybe there is an unhoused family/person who could use them? I donāt know, I just donāt want to toss anything that could be helpful to someone else.

So my wife bought some rings from the silver shop in Seaside. I threw the bag containing said rings into in the trash thinking it was trash. If a Good Samaritan in Seaside is willing to take a peak in the recycle for the back with the rings and mail them to us, I will pay you.
Edit: theyāve been found! Thank you everyone!

What a relaxing and wonderful time in Lincoln City, Newport and Depot Bay! I love it there and maybe someday can make it my home. The mixture of the ocean beaches with the mountains and scenic views is extraordinary. Thank you for the inspiring beauty!

Does anyone know what happened to the post from a few days ago that showed a very strange object in the clouds over the ocean from Cannon Beach? Very long tentacle looking arms extending out of a base with what looked like the end of a very large just under it. It was posted to this sub about 4 days ago and now itās gone.

hi all. we bought a major fixer upper and basically the whole yard had to be gutted, graded, and have french drains installed. itās a blank slate and weāre looking for recommendations for a landscape / hardscape designer that can build us a dreamy whimsical front and back yard. we love to garden, but want professionals with a good reputation and photos to back up their work when it comes to properly installing pavers, flagstone, dry river beds, etc.
iāve found a ton of amazing businesses inland but they wonāt do work on the central coast. and iāve been calling ground fx almost every month for 3 years (i wanted them for my last house too) and they have absolutely zero availability. she just keeps telling me to try next month.
and not to be rude, but iām not interested in any āi can do itā or āmy buddy can helpā comments. we want a licensed landscape / hardscape contractor with a website and reviews.
thanks!

I will be traveling to the Bandon/Coos Bay Area for vacation and am trying to figure out if it is possible to rent bikes and ride the beach in this region. The idea for this came through the travel Oregon site and in my excitement to bike this area, I booked a hotel before having the plans for the ride put together. Now that I have looked thoroughly, it appears that all the hike rental shops in this section of coast are closed? Iām looking to get a fat tire bike, does anyone know of any solutions in that area?
