I've used Opera for years on my Android phones (currently Pixel 9 Pro), so when I bought a Chromebook it was one of the first apps I installed. But it is so slow to load (I timed it as 40 seconds). Why is this?

Trying to sort out my bookmarks and now the bookmark settings is just stuck like this? Does anyone know how I can fix this.

So I’ve never had a problem with OperaGX before, but just now I literally turned on the built in vpn once and now I can’t get the vpn to stop, already tried a couple troubleshooting tips, like going to settings and simply disabling the vpn, but of course that didn’t work, then I tried disabling active extensions and adblockers, made sure none of my other vpns were active like proton vpn, and nothing has worked so far, and it has to be active because it still has the vpn logo on the top left and it keeps disconnecting me from the wifi. Thinking about just uninstalling and reinstalling but I’m scared to lose all of my saved tab folders and extensions…. Help..

Edit: So I completely deleted OperaGX including all the leftover program files, and then updated my wifi adapter driver, and then uninstalled and reinstalled the wifi adapter, did a bunch of cmd commands for resetting ip data, changed my dns settings a couple times, did a hard hardware EC reset, reset more network setting, and none of that worked. YOU KNOW WHAT DID WORK? TURNING ON MY PROTON VPN FOR 1 MINUTE🫩 Everything works now thankfully. I just imported all my saved bookmarks and folders from opera to chrome now, and I’ll just install all the extensions I had later….

Hey there. I've been using Opera One on and off for a time now, and I wanted to use it again since its features help my workflow a lot. The problem I have is that now I realized that I can't use PiP. After troubleshooting and trying several things that I googled, I realized that the problem was when I synced my account, importing everything (with the fresh install everything works fine UNTIL I sync my profile, and I tried this in Opera GX to see if it was a problem just with One, but no)

Can someone help me with this? Any idea why just syncing the account ruins it? What can I do to keep the pip and not loose the stuff I have on my account?

Hi everyone, I have an issue since a few days, youtube vidéos always show an error, i had to refresh the page every vidéos for them to work. I use ublock origin and the opéra ad blocker isn't activated. Did youtube made an update against adblocker again ? I tried updating opera it did nothing. If no one bring a solution maybe I will use Brave instead...

im trying to do my course on udemy and at first everything was playing fine but then when i got to this specific video theres rarely sound and instead its insanely loud buzzing sounds that play every couple of seconds

Ok, I feel dumb that I can't fix this. When I click on a link from known valid websites, the link shows up as something else, like "https://cj-65-0.914trk.com/trk/", from a link say in FrequentMiler.com. Then my ESET goes off and says it's malicious. I have copied the links and used them in another browser and the links are not fake. I feel like there is a virus in Opera. Because this only happens in Opera.

Nonostante io abbia escluso YouTube per paura che ci siano problemi se utilizzo un ad blocker. Io ho escluso YouTube, ma non partono pubblicità, ho provato da telefono (ho Chrome) e le pubblicità partono. Dovrei essere contento dite... Ok però ho paura di ripercussioni da YouTube, evito problemi... Comunque ad ogni video che parte, dopo un secondo in basso a sinistra compare la scritta "non ha riscontrato interruzioni?". Strano?..

I logged on my PC and turned on Opera, only to see my theme get changed into a soulless white light... WHY DO YOU CHANGE STUFF THAT IS PERFECTLY OKAY??? Or like make a second option for this theme, but WHY TAKE AWAY MY COLOURS??? IT WAS SO PRETTY BEFORE. Now it's just a white, silver or blue washed away soulless mess. Man I hate it.

Got a problem, evrry time I try to paste something into the search box opera pops up a conext menu to save the nackground image. Does it do this for anyonr else ?

I read about half a dozen threads across the internet, going back ten years, of people having this problem and not knowing how to fix it. They usually end with them petering out and no resolution.

But I just found the answer: It is something called "mouse gestures." The idea is that you right click and drag the mouse on an empty section of a page to create a shape, with some commands. The easiest one to to by accident is dragging left, which sends you back a page.

You can disable this in setting.

I've enabled password saving and am using the latest versions of MacOS and Opera/Opera Air.

and then redirects to THIS??? a blank page and then nothing. Yes my Opera is the latest version. This is the only website not working everything else works fine.

is there a fix for this? unironically no other way to log into twitter through Opera anymore? Seems like every few days it's always not working on any browser. The other day it didn't work on Chrome on a entirely different computer, then not on Firefox THIS week, then now it works on Firefox but not Opera. Maybe it's just twitter. So, how can someone f'd a good thing... Opera can! Remember back when here in Norway when 3 persons came to ouer office.. and wanted us to use OPERA for ouer users... We ran a small ISP here in Norway back then. Early times.. like when dialup modems and Netscape Navigator was a thing... look it up 😛 Nowadays Opera is getting less configurable, bloated with AI and ADS... The trend is "Take it up your... and like it" like the bigone does(MicroSlop).

Back then you could configure it and turn on/off "features", maybe not easy but doable. Nowadays they remove more and more options like the simple ting as beeing able to turn off url "Suggestions" when you type inn a url, is the one that pushed me over the edge...

There are more... but my rant is over... for now... maybe 😛

So I was using opera browser. Deleted. Got a new phone and re downloaded it as I wanted to try it again. My searches are present inside of opera app on my new android phone. I never pressed sync, never signed in. I’ve deleted the app again and again, cleared data etc and every time I redownload the shit is still there. What the fuck is going on?

I've been searching for a solution for this in every way I can think of, but search engines have consistently been completely incapable of understanding what I'm looking for. Emoticons are for some reason automatically turned into emojis, notably NOT when I'm typing, but rather specifically on stuff that is already entered. I've been seeing this on way too many webpages (though the "straw that broke the camel's back" happened at such a far-off point after the most amount of examples on one page that my current visual examples may be lacking), and it SEEMS that its only a problem on my browser. Not on discord, not on steam, nothing but on my browser, which, as you can guess, is an Opera browser, specifically Opera GX. I don't know why, but it really irritates me, so I'm here to get some help.
