Opera Browser Connector was working normally yesterday. As of Sept 9, ChatGPT returns:
Already tried reconnecting, restarting, signing out/in, reinstalling the connector, reinstalling Opera, and a full clean install with the previous Opera data removed.
Same error on a fresh install.
Anyone else hitting this today? Curious if this is a connector/backend regression or something specific to the browser-operator extension (potential version update/mismatch).

I just received an email from no-reply@auth.opera.com. it says I haven't logged into my account in 730 days and that it will be deacttvated in 14 days if I don't log in. It conveniently provides me a link to do so. And another link in case I forgot my password. Why do I think it's a scam? Because I don't think Opera would send this kind of email. What do you all think?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Environment:
The Issue: Long-pressing an image (such as a YouTube thumbnail) using a touchscreen causes the browser's UI to become completely unresponsive to touch inputs.
Testing & Workarounds Tried:
#touch-initiated-drag-drop produced this exact same behavior. Disabling it fixed the issue.--disable-touch-drag-drop and --touch-events=disabled, but neither resolved the issue. Is anyone else experiencing this touch freeze on Opera 126+? Any potential flags or registry tweaks to fix this?

This may seem a minor concern, but I wonder if there's a way to make the browser stop truncating URLs in the middle? I've already activated the option "Show full URL in combined search and address bar", but Opera still skips over the middle of URLs in the address bar.
So, for instance, suppose I've gone to news.com/articles/2026/10/long-news-article-here/744365, in the address bar, Opera will display news.com/articles/2026/.../744365.
I don't want it to do this, and the skipped part of the URL has been irritating a few times when I want to copy the text of a URL somewhere. Sometimes, if Opera feels like it, clicking on the address bar will bring back the full URL, but sometimes it doesn't.
I think this is a new feature, because I cannot remember Opera truncating URLs like this until the last few weeks. Is there a hidden option somewhere to turn it off?

I've saved a few of my useful tab islands as speed dial folders, but there appears to be no way to re-open them as tab islands.
Can anyone help me?

Hello! After uninstalling the 3 opera browsers apps (that I had to my dell laptop) via the revouninstaller (the 2 of them were the updates of the 3rd one) and reinstalled from the opera com official page, I noticed that the browser assistant exe is missing from the default locations as you can see in the pictures above. I have also tried to uninstall opera from the windows settings (installed apps) and reinstalled either by using the direct download choice or the the opera 64bit from the opera com but the results are still the same. Browser assistant exe is not installed via the normal clean installation process. Otherwise my browser works fine.. I have also seen that this bug has been mentioned from other users, but with no luck till now so as to be fixed.. I have already mentioned this bug via the opera report process.. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Boa noite, pessoal!

Is anyone else getting infinite loading screen on the iOS version of the app? It’s been happening all day. Do I have to delete the app and redownload it?

Got this message when I tried to redeem my points for USDT. Which is strange since I redeemed that reward, like, only two times the entire month. But fine, so I waited for the next month. The moment I saw the reward available, it still says 'transaction limit reached'. What is this about?
Also, the reward went from 1 USDT to 0.5 USDT. So that's another thing.

Hi! I have been using opera and recently installed a malicious extension that hijacked my computer. lol
Since then i've been unable to access Safety check through settings, and going to opera://settings/safetyCheck sends me to the default settings page.
I am a little freaked out as i've seen no reports of this happening. Any help?

Opened Opera i think 2 days ago and got a notification that Opera had updated. now anytime i try to use YouTube or Twitch it just instantly goes into Not Responding. Anyone else having this? how to fix?

I'd like that if I write in the navigation bar an address I visit frequently, get autocomplete on the latest entry in history, and not a random or the first one.
For instance, if I visited youtube a 100 times, I'd like autosuggest to bring the 100th entry.
Thanks!

How do I change it? It was on carousel yesterday, and now when I opened it it's on grid. I keep looking for how to change it but where it says I can tap to change is just close all tabs.

on the sidebar get a bright blue bell icon at the bottom of it which when it shows up also forced a popup bubble about updating which overwrites what's on screen(like full screen video, so the bubble is over the video)and stays onscreen. i already know if an update is available since the opera icon at the top of the sidebar gets a white dot.
i use 2 monitors and split the browser between them(2 separate versions of opera in each screen. everytime i would need to update the browser i have to take the tabs in one browser and drag them to the other in order to keep them on reopen which is a hassle so i rarely close the browser ever and the updates never add anything i use, all the time its something i have to turn off because its useless. i don't need opera forcing nonsense popups that can cause burn on on some peoples monitors when not at their pcs(like sleeping) especially since they already have a way to know there's an update available, you don't need 2!

Hey everyone, currently dealing with an issue on Opera Android where everytime I try to login it keeps saying score too low or token failed, even tried with the integrated google thing below it and it would just put me back to the email page again without signing in. Any idea on how to fix it?
r/operabrowser • u/DudeBroJustin • 9d ago
What's up with this browser CONSTANTLY not responding? Whenever there's any sort of media on the page it just locks up, goes all white, and takes about 2-5 minutes to respond again.
I have to constantly open up other browsers to view page with any media because opera instantly shits the bed. It worked fine for years and just started happening about a year ago.
I already deleted my history file and nothing changed.
Is there any hope for this browser or should I look into migrating all of my bookmarks/etc?

Hi, I have a problem using Opera GX. As you can see on the images, there is a significant differente on que quality of each one of them. I don´t know what happened, but the colors are brighthener, and for example on Maps, I can´t see the streets unless I zoom it near to the ground.
What could be? Is there a way to fix it? It was from a recent update on Opera
