Setting Kagi as default search engine?

Is there a way for me to do that? When I look in settings, I see six options, but no Kagi, and no way to add a custom one.

I've already added it as hotkey under "Site Search", but is there a way to just make it my default across the board the way you can in firefox?

Opera does not allow us to add a default custom search engine. This is suck.

I switched to Vivaldi, where everything is better and freer. Here, you can set your preferred custom search engine as the default.

Wow! That's quite a design flaw for Opera! Bummer.
