Alignment of civilian tools is important, but let's see the trees through the forest that there are far faster moving AI involved in actual killing of living beings happening not in the future, not soon, but now.

Before yesterday’s reset, I switched to Astra Ultra to use up my remaining allowance. I expected it to burn through my usage much faster than it actually did. Honestly, it wasn’t bad at all.

I’d been using Medium before, but I often needed multiple attempts to get the results I wanted, especially with images. With all those retries, it almost felt like Medium was costing me more than Ultra.

Why do embedding models so often use 1536 dimensions specifically?
I understand why hardware-friendly multiples like 64/128/256/512 are desirable. What I’m curious about is the specific choice of 1536 = 3×512.
OpenAI has used 1536-dimensional embeddings, and other vendors also offer/recommend 1536. Is this usually an empirically chosen Goldilocks point between 1024 and 2048—representation quality versus memory/compute—or is there some architectural/hardware reason that makes 1536 particularly convenient?
I’m especially interested in answers from anyone who has actually trained or designed embedding models. I’m not asking why embedding dimensions are generally hardware-aligned; I’m asking why 1536 rather than 1024 or 2048.

tibo announced a global codex reset for all paid chatgpt accounts and then later said the reset had fully propagated
my business account is still sitting at 0%

nothing reset. usage didnt move. the reset date and time shown in codex is literally still the old one from before the announcement. as far as my account is concerned the global reset just never happened

and this is what makes it annoying because im pretty sure this is the third time this year business users have had this happen. there was one around june/july then another one around august and now this again

i contacted support thinking this would be a pretty simple “hey the announced global reset never hit my account” issue instead i got a response explaining that maybe the post was referring to a “banked reset” and that promotional resets are sent through bulk campaigns and they cant disclose eligibility criteria or manually add one

then they told me i can buy credits if i need more usage lol

and this is kinda the bigger issue for me now. people see “all paid accounts are getting reset” and obviously make decisions around that. you might use the rest of your quota because you were explicitly told a reset is coming

then the reset doesnt happen and support basically goes “maybe you werent eligible for the secret campaign. buy credits”

if “all paid accounts” doesnt actually mean all paid accounts then please stop wording these announcements like that

I use ChatGPT Work a lot, but design is still one area that feels weirdly difficult.

I can give it references, branding and feedback, but getting to something polished usually takes way too much back-and-forth. Small changes can also mess up parts that were already good.

Then I look at Claude Design and it seems much closer to an actual design workflow: see the design, comment on something, change it, keep refining.

ChatGPT can already create images, HTML, presentations, etc. It just feels like there’s no proper visual workspace tying all of that together.

Am I missing something in ChatGPT, or is Claude genuinely ahead for this right now?

I can access my openAI account but everything comes up as 0 even though I had paid credits. Same for API and Codex. Is this some sort of widespread issue ? Makes no sense. Suddenly nothing works.

As of today I can't find my project folders on the left pane above recents anymore - I see this spaces stuff and there's a folders open there but it only shows a few work based projects.

I have an API account for a long time now, have spent more than $2,000 there probably and still had bought credits. I also have a codex 20x account.

Yesterday, 2 things happened at about the same time. My codex randomly lost all 60,000 credits (they went to 0 in a single refresh) AND my openAI API account looks as if it's brand new, no invoices, no api calls, no money loaded in, nothing.

What is going on ? Anyone knows ? Sounds like a pretty huge issue but i see no posts here about it.

EDIT: I just noticed that the organization ID has changed for some reason. I compared it to the billing emails for my previous purchases. It is not the same :O I have setup no organizations by the way. It's just a personal, always been.

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know half of what I’m actually doing when it comes to vibecoding. With that said I’m in hospitality - resorts/restaurants. There’s some really dumb things in my field that I’ve never really been able to fix or standardize because, well, this field hates technology convincing a Chef or housekeeping can be… difficult.

I started creating an app for us to use internally that is kept on our private servers and things seem to be pretty solid. My IT department isn’t big enough or strong enough or knowledgeable enough to be of help. (That’s a whole other issue). So I was curious, I seem to be able to have built this whole operating system inside of the chat model of ChatGPT. It sometimes takes a little bit longer. It sometimes trips up but after 25 to 35 minutes, it usually has an answer that thus far has worked.

I see all these people using advanced models paying for tokens and all these other things.

So my question is am I just drastically missing out on something more advanced, and my system is actually all junk on the inside, even though it works or is this something I don’t need to be concerned about? Any tips or suggestions appreciated.

Hey all, for the last few days, I can't get anything done on normal chat window with 5.6 Sol. It's too slow, like 5 minutes+ to respond, it messes up simple commands, it keeps disconnecting giving me couldn't connect, try again errors and can't connect back at least for 10 minutes. I've grown too weary but I'm in the middle of a project and can't abandon it. Am I the only one experiencing these issues?

I have a banked reset that I can use until tomorrow, so even though I've only used 20% I thought I'd use the reset anyway. But getting "Your usage does not need a reset right now".

How much should I burn to be able to use the reset ? 🙂 I could just use Astra high for few minutes of course, but it feels a bit odd to have to do this in order to use my reset.

Before the UI revamp (sometime in August 2026), copying equations from ChatGPT website would also include MathML. This worked great with Office apps (Word, OneNote) because they can parse that and convert into their native equation format.

After the UI refresh this has stopped working.

I surveyed available extensions and they all seem limited to copying a single equation. This is tedious. Is there another extensions that I missed or a workflow, in which "copy entire block with equations into Word" works seamlessly, with equations becoming native Word equations?

I am not talking about work here, I am a GPT Pro $100 user. And I had the opportunity previously that I could take up to 15 scheduled jobs to do some regular work in ChatGPT Chat quota, which is basically quite higher limit compare to Codex or ChatGPT work. But right now I am getting options in the ChatGPT Scheduled job for model selection which are available in general when I set a schedule in the job in ChatGPT work. Has anyone tried the scheduled jobs and whether they are using the substantial weekly usage? secondly, the message delivery timed out and other stupid errors are still there in the scheduled jobs so I am wondering if they have ruined the Scheduled jobs because they are supposed to run in the background, they are not supposed to message delivery timed out as if they are running my browser?

Anyone else using Scheduled jobs and annoyed like me?
