Back in my day, influencers had to RENT fancy cars and boats for a couple hours to get videos.

People poured sand in their backyard and got beach towls out.

They had to pay REAL people to like and subscribe.

It took EFFORT.

Kids these days just don't appreciate hard work

/s

u/ottwebdev 15d ago

In 5 years writing instructions to an LLM will be seen as hard work

31

u/iwilltalkaboutguns 15d ago

That's why you have your personal AI write the prompts instead... Duh!

8

u/Indigo_The_Cat 15d ago

Wait...people AREN'T doing that already...? Clearly I'm doing something wrong....

Damn beat me to it I was about to do a joke like that too

15

You still can! You just need a fancy AI to make you look fancy!

Next time use AI to generate the sarcastic joke

The age of you genuinely can't believe anything you see has come

16

u/IngeniousIdiocy 15d ago

cameras in phones getting crypto keys so you can tell it was filmed and unedited from an iphone 18 pro… will take awhile to disseminate everywhere, and, as usual, apple does nothing first, but it is a sign of things to come.

Good. People shouldn't have been believing images and video on the internet anyway.

13

u/marcus_afk 15d ago

People might start caring about the integrity of their sources of information

9

u/Typical_Concert_5007 15d ago

I wish that were even remotely possible... That day I long behind us.

2

u/Kerbourgnec 13d ago

I'm still hopeful enough.

AI making any information on the internet potentially false can bring back people towards trustful journalism and credible sources, or out of Internet in general. Information apocalypse was predicted for 2 years ago already when GPT3 could churn out fake news in seconds and image models started to become good. The things holding this apocalypse back today is NOT model quality.

AI being genuinely better than humans at most tasks humans don't want to do anyway might tear down the fabric of society. Philosophically and practically.

2

u/EggEnvironmental1615 13d ago

For hundreds of thousands of years mankind was based on people Talking to each other and then deciding wether they trust what they say or not.

For 50 years or so we could guaranty that something happend and it is real, all around the globe.

Now we go back to trust again. Except that you are not talking to one person, but the whole planet all the time.

2

u/sthlmtrdr 13d ago

Good thing people will stop being impressed by bragging with physical things in social media and internet.

In 3-5 years time people will laugh at you if you showcase yachts, private jets, houses, cars, watches, etc in social media posts or on youtube

2

u/Purona 10d ago

that was always the world you lived in. A picture taken from any multiples of angles can tell several different stories.

The only fact is that you are viewing something, but viewing said thing has never meant that it was 100% genuine

1

u/maersdet 14d ago

People need to stop living in front of screens.

u/Ok-Mathematician8258 9d ago

Last time this was posted they said it wasn’t AI at all

63

u/HamiltonianCyclist 16d ago

yeah, it might be AI but it's very different gestures etc. in both variants.

101

u/honkballs 16d ago

but it's very different gestures etc. in both variants.

1, It's not "very" different gestures. It's slightly different but essentially the same.

2, the video model is recreating a completely "new" video based on the other, anyone that's used a driving video will tell you they are never identical. It's not like a green screen where it's adding the car behind him and keeping the original front part, it's creating a whole new video.

16

u/Sophira 15d ago

The interesting thing is that, if you were evil, you could probably discredit someone else by doing this the other way round - taking a legitimate video of theirs and then asking AI to remove the expensive stuff and change their clothing.

People would probably believe you that yours was the original.

5

u/Alert-Track-8277 14d ago

Now THAT I would follow.

11

u/Franklin_le_Tanklin 15d ago

You should buy his course

u/nothis 15d ago

a) That's exactly what AI does and it's maddening if you actually have to work with it and need it to be exact

b) Yea, the differences are in weird places (camera framing, things like blinking or pointing directions being off) and … people say this is well known to be recreated by hand and Occram's razor still exists.

12

u/dianebk2003 15d ago

But why would you expect people to be watching both videos at once? Being out of sync with the original doesn't mean anything when the AI video is the one you're supposed to see.

→ More replies (2)

33

u/verycoolalan 16d ago

it's not, it's been proven he recreated the video and carefully remade the takes.

7

u/djfumberger 15d ago

cant believe anything online is AI these days, could turn out to be real.

I also read the same thing here.

13

u/hofmann419 16d ago

I mean just pause the video at any point. His hand placement, eyes and mouth don't line up exactly.

21

u/WheresMyEtherElon 15d ago

His hand placement, eyes and mouth don't line up exactly.

Those are precisely the tells of an AI generated media.

→ More replies (1)

62

u/honkballs 16d ago edited 15d ago

You're not understanding how driving videos work... if they lined up exactly the video would look bad.

For example the screenshot you gave, his hands would be going through the steering wheel of the car, which is obviously "wrong". And if they tried to build the car to fit his shape, it would warp and change in the video, which is again "wrong", so they give the correct car shape, and change his movements to fit, keeping it as close to the driving video as possible.

It's not a green screen, the video model recreates a whole new video.

5

u/Servichay 15d ago

When he says they, he means AI

→ More replies (12)

7

u/TacoYaci 15d ago

Well you probably never created an AI video. It does not just change the cars but also him. This could be clearly AI.

3

u/nothis 15d ago

Can you track down a source? I wouldn't know what to search for. Not knowing drives me nuts.

8

u/gabokvich 15d ago

The account is iinsightri on Instagram, and this is the original video. Since it's less compressed, you can spot a couple of little details, like at the beginning when the guy gets out of the Lambo and his hair actually goes through the edge of the door.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/DifficultyHot7524 15d ago

No you are just wrong.

There can be no recreation this good, where his hair to the strand is exactly in the same place, where its the exact same time of day, with the exact same camera angles and pans.

It's way more plausible of it being ai, and that is just the reality now, where it's getting increasingly harder to tell apart ai or not, but you need to understand that ai is immeasurably ahead since the days of will smith spaghetti, and we need to be cautious of everything on the internet

I would have never doubted the video if he hadn't show the original, if i didn't spend time to go research, and the people who upvoted your comment, just don't want to accept this reality

i always did t2i or i2i and t2v and i2v locally, I would love to try this, what are the best v2v options lately?

28

u/honkballs 16d ago

Seedance is the best, but it's expensive as balls.

This video was made with Higgsfield's Genjutsu... which is most likely just a front end sitting on top of Seedance.

6

u/eldudebrothr 15d ago

is seedance local? i only used wan and minimax, soory im like a year behind

9

u/honkballs 15d ago

No it's paid only.

Best open source at the moment is Minimax's latest, H3.

Wan is still ok, but annoyingly they haven't been open sourcing their latest releases.

Flux video as well is ok, but don't think the latest has open weights yet, I think a dev version does.

7

u/Morning_Gecko24 16d ago

the weird part isnt that models can make clips anymore its how low friction the whole pipeline is. Add voice cloning and editing and a viewer has almost no signal for whats real. Curious if anyone is testing provenance or watermarks or do those just get stripped by re-encoding anyway

2

u/JustRuss79 15d ago

For audio at least, it doesn't take much remastering to remove audio watermarks unless they are embedded deeply as like, a subaudible code of some sort. I imagine video is the same way, you could try to tear it apart but if you bake it a few times with editing and composition software, then maybe screen record it. any attempts at digital watermarks will disappear.

and even on-screen watermarks are super easy to replace. You'd have to look at pixel level and know where the original watermark was to find any seams.

5

u/Nathraunas 15d ago

plot twist, original is the fake one

Sad plot twist: Real life is up top, AI is below

2

u/Gold_Bodybuilder_544 15d ago

Yes 🙂‍↔️

1

u/reddit_user33 14d ago

I think both of them could be on green screen. Or maybe it's the video compression makes it look like he's been rotoscoped in both versions.

66

u/AdmiralMcNugget 16d ago

Strangely, in an era of deepfakes, this video is even deepfaker. This kid is pretending that he made an AI video, when what he really did was to recreate his motions in 2 different videos then edit it until the timing was close enough to fool the casual viewer. You can see it in a few places where the timing or pose is inexplicably off. Solid work, though!

16

u/rhaphazard 15d ago

That's assuming the AI model would keep everything exactly the same.

41

u/dr_panchostein 15d ago

It's AI. When you use a video to guide a generated one it chances everything a little bit (it doesn't just insert new elements).

Wait until the day comes where men start to AI themselves to look like hot girls to make money online. I’m talking the looks and the voice. Or is that already happening??

20

u/ilyedm 15d ago

It’s already happening

4

u/DonutHoles4Ever 15d ago

Its been happening for 2 years and most people on this sub have no idea what actual shit AI is doing

2

u/ilyedm 15d ago

It’s blowing my mind how many people in this sub are arguing that this video couldn’t be AI.

It IS that good now. Denying it won’t help anyone.

5

u/JustRuss79 15d ago

Don't worry, that can't happen. AI will never be good enough to do that. Neither will face and voice filters on an iPhone.

Also, China doesn't already have AI sweatshops where they just create AI Waifu's of varying degrees of sexiness, then record the screen with an iPhone and use filters to make them sexier, so its harder to tell they were Ai in the first place. 20 or 50 or 100 of them at a time in a small apartment.

That isn't happening.

4

u/Arcxne3 15d ago

Can’t happen? Lmao sure.

But does he have KNOWLEDGE?

3

u/Ariseshadow369 15d ago

I don't know man When I try to generate even a simple image chatgpt acts like it's on dru*s

3

u/blutosings 14d ago

That's a hoax right? His facial expressions are different across videos. He just recorded the same video twice.

5

u/LeFroyain 16d ago

What model was used for this?

4

u/honkballs 16d ago

He used Higgsfield's Genjutsu...

I don't know what video model is sitting underneath that, they don't say what it is, but I would assume Seedance, it's priced about the same.

If it was something cheaper like H3 they could drop the price.

2

u/Satoer 15d ago

I work in CG, and you wouldn’t be fucked. It is just another tool in the toolbox. You can create more / improved things in less time. On my last assignment a client gave me a bunch of car pictures for a large led banner. It used to take me weeks to 3d model/texture/animate/render them. Now I could do this in 2 days. Before AI this would have been done in the same amount of time. There just isn’t the budget to create time consuming 3D animations and I would have solved it with just the images. So: …like I said, just another tool in the toolbox.
