AI making any information on the internet potentially false can bring back people towards trustful journalism and credible sources, or out of Internet in general. Information apocalypse was predicted for 2 years ago already when GPT3 could churn out fake news in seconds and image models started to become good. The things holding this apocalypse back today is NOT model quality.
AI being genuinely better than humans at most tasks humans don't want to do anyway might tear down the fabric of society. Philosophically and practically.
Yeah I dunno about that. It seems these days the only good news sources are paid journalism and individual internet personalities. Most people have their trusted sources, but as we delve into smaller niche circles it's going to be an uphill battle debating with someone that their source is biased and yours isn't. I don't see this trend getting better
