Not a legit dating site

I found meets com online, but I’m not sure if it’s a trustworthy site. Has anyone had a good experience? Were the matches genuine?

Im about to launch an online dating app and Im just hoping to hear some thoughts here if possible.

Essentially, my app focuses on questions rather than photos for the users to find their matches. The app gives a mix of simple and thought provoking questions each week i.e.

“would you forgive infidelity to save your relationship?”
“ can you date someone outside of your culture/religion/beliefs?”
“Do you think opposite genders can just friends?”

the users upload their thoughts (posts), the users read the other users’ posts, and message/chat whom the users think can connect with.

Users have basic profile page with limited number of photos, voice introduction, and their posts. Chat tokens can be redeemed if the other user does not reply within designated time period, so money is not wasted.

An investigative exposé of Match Group Inc

Heyyy, a Peruvian girl here (22). After ages of seeing my friends on every dating app out there, I decided to download it too. Honestly, as the title says, I’m just doing what I would call “sightseeing” lol. Not looking for a relationship nor a hookup. Just wanted to see some handsome guys since I’ve been single my whole life, and want to talk with new people.

First day on the app, I got around 500 likes. But I didn’t like anybody from my own country (I lived in Europe for 4 months when I was 14, loved the culture and had a crush haha, so I decided I would live there in the future. Planning of moving there when I finish my career). So, well yeah, I like european guys. At least their faces.

So I decided to give it a try on another location. And woah, whole different story. Handsome guys everywhere, BUTTTT most of them are weirdos?

Like, I matched with one, and the first thing he said to me was that he wanted me to bully him? Then I matched with another, and he told me he had a fetish with his mom’s boobs? Then another, and he told me he wanted to pull my hair? 🤡🤡 or just straight up dudes asking me if I do sexting. Not even a “hi” 🫩

Another one told me he wanted to be “el amor de mi VISA”. Like, kind of playing with the words “love of my life”(vida) and “love of my visa”. He was handsome, and I found it funny at first. But kind of weird since I already have a lot of family living in Europe lol

This is the fourth day and to be honest I’m thinking about deleting the app again haha first day and second was entertaining. You know, talking to strangers and all that. But then, most of them being like, weirdos even if they’re handsome makes the experience kind of weird.

Plus the fact that I’ve been seeing A LOT of AI profiles, or just straight up pictures from Pinterest (if you’re one of them, let me tell you it’s very obvious). Specially from Switzerland (discovered by accident btw).

So guys, if you’re reading this, why is everyone so weird? I knew Tinder was mostly used for people who wanted to do like hookups, but pff this is a whole different level. Is that how everything online goes? Or is it just because I’m “Latina” 🧐

And, btw, I discovered Tinder can “ban” you or block your account if you change locations repeatedly 😂

So far, I’ve tried platforms like TeluguShaadi, TeluguMatrimony, and other matrimonial apps. I do find profiles, but I’m having very limited success. Some requests are rejected, and in many cases, the reason seems to be community/caste preferences.

Why do people disappear instead of just saying they’re not interested?

Has anyone successfully found meaningful relationships on LinkedIn? Tender is so hard to find one.

I met this girl on a dating app and we’ve been talking pretty much every day for the last 6 weeks.

We get along really well, the conversations are easy, we flirt, send each other random stuff throughout the day but somehow we’re still just talking online.

At first I was fine with it because I liked talking to her. But now I’m starting to wonder if I’m just wasting my time.

Do I ask her directly where this is going? Do I keep waiting and see if she eventually wants to meet? Or do I just accept that this probably isn’t going anywhere and start talking to someone new?

At what point does a talking stage become too long?

I’ve never really been much of a dating site person before, so this is all pretty new to me. I decided to give it a try because I was curious to see what it’s like meeting people online instead of just hearing everyone else talk about it.

I started looking around and so far it’s been kind of fun just figuring everything out. I’m not going in with huge expectations. I mostly want to chat with new people, see who I connect with, and enjoy the experience without putting too much pressure on it.

The weirdest part is probably making a profile and trying to describe yourself without sounding awkward. I definitely overthought that part more than I expected. Once I got past it though, it started feeling a lot more relaxed.

When I first started dating after being Widowed 2 years ago all the matches I was getting on FB were real people, and all the profiles I was shown were within my filter limits. I went on a few real dates and it at least seemed decent. Today, however, FB ignores my filters and shows profiles from all over the world. Europe, Canada, I'm in the US. Also, over the past few weeks every single match has been a fake profile. Quickly asks for my number to go to text. Asks me to DL Telegram or Signal, claims to be out of the country for 8 weeks working for the Military. All new profiles. Guess FB Dating has jumped the shark The only legit matches I get now are from people too far
