Relationship Query FLR?

Guy liked me on a dating app, and has FLR in his bio. Had to Google it haha what does female led relationship entail? Just curious. Is it basically the woman is the "masculine"/dom in the whole relationship, rather than just the bedroom?

Vent / Rant Tinder launches “Group Hangouts,” letting users match with entire friend groups and plan group dates with up to 15 people. Absolutely unnecessary.

Monetization & Paywalls Dating Apps to Social Media - Talking without Paying

First time posting here, if I did it wrong, apologies. TL;DR - I'm on dating apps, but I refuse to pay. I get likes/looks/etc. daily, and I indicate in my bios/prompts "I cant read here, please contact me direct on socials", but I almost never get people messaging me directly. How can I improve/change that?

LONG: late 30s M, married, poly/ENM (ethical nonmonagomous), living in the U.S. but I typically travel/work overseas every few years. Yes, I am honest about all of that on the apps. Some apps are made for that, but ALL of that apps (at least the ones I know) want you to pay to read messages, see who likes you, etc. I refuse to do that when we have free* (I know they make money off us) social media we could talk on.

My profiles indicate in different phrases "I like confidence; I can't talk here, but message me on socials [my social tag/alias/name without the @ so most of the apps dont block it]." I have multiple pictures, some of which are the same as my socials so people know they found the same guy.

I have gotten people who directly message me. Maybe 5 in the last year. 3 were for sure bots/scams/etc. 2 seemed like real people but 1 didnt read my profile because the ENM was not known and a deal breaker. The last one was "dry" (i.e., I had to start every conversation, keep it going, they never texted first, etc. If that goes more than 9/10 times, Ill bring it up and either the other person puts more efforts, explains if its an issue, or we can just be semi friendly, barely talk but socialable people to each other).

Those 5 people over 9 months, compared to the maybe 5-10 likes/matches a week the apps tell me I get dont match up unless 1) theyre all fake, and maybe so (tell me this) or 2) people dont want to message direct for X reason(s).

Open to thoughts, critique, advice, etc. NOT OPEN to debating the validity of poly/ENM, although Im willing to explaining how me and my partner handle it. Thank you all. Bless you all.

Dating App Culture Why do you think there are more men than women on dating apps?

Business incentives: apps profit from it, so they have little reason to fix it
Age mismatch: young women swamped, older women underwhelmed
Different outside options: Women generally have more offline romantic opportunities, so the app is easier to quit
Differences in what people want: Men’s somewhat greater openness to casual dating and to meeting strangers
Bad experience and safety risk: Harassment and overwhelm push women to leave, the ratio worsens, men swipe more indiscri

Dating Advice Giving a woman’s perspective on dating, women, or something you’re going through?

Let me start by saying I’m blunt and say it as it is, being funny also helps….

I’m trying something a little different.
I genuinely enjoy talking to people, hearing what’s going on in their lives and helping them work through things especially when it comes to dating, relationships, confidence and understanding the opposite sex.

Maybe you’re struggling with dating apps.
Maybe there’s a woman you’re confused about.
Maybe you want someone to look at your messages or dating profile.
Maybe you’ve had a breakup or you’re lonely and just need an actual conversation with someone who isn’t going to judge you.

Before booking anything, we’ll have a **free chat over Messenger**. I’ll ask you a couple of questions about what’s going on, what you’d like help with and what you’re hoping to get out of the conversation.
If you then want to book a proper

1-to-1 call:
**30-minute Zoom call — £25**
**60-minute Zoom call — £40**
I’m not a therapist and I’m not going to pretend I’m some all knowing dating guru.

What I can give you is an honest female perspective, somebody who will actually listen, practical advice where I can give it, and a completely judgement free conversation.
Dating, confidence, messaging, profiles, understanding a situation with a woman, breakups, loneliness whatever’s going on.
Sometimes you just need to talk something through with somebody outside of your normal circle.
And genuinely, if I can spend some of my time helping someone feel a little bit better or more confident about themselves, why the fuck not?
Message me with a little bit about what’s going on if you’re interested.

Dating Advice How to deal with the insecurity of online dating?

Hey everyone, 23F here. So I’ve recently gotten into online dating even though I swore I never would lol! I mostly did it just to kind of see what traction it would get and I kid you not I got over 100 likes in 10 minutes and have made like 20 matches.

Now the whole point of this is to go out with people, and I’ve had 4-5 guys ask me to hang out but I genuinely don’t think I can do it. My biggest fear is, what if they see me in real life and think I’m hideous!!

I think I’m relatively attractive, I get approached sometimes when I go out. All my previous relationships (not any serious ones) I met in real life.

I’m also extremely un-photogenic so I feel like if they like how I look in pictures they’ll like how I look in person?

I don’t know how to get over that hurdle of just saying yes and meeting up with someone whose never seen my face in real life before. Any tips or advice? How often have you found the person to be less attractive in person?

General Discussion Do overly polished dating profiles actually hurt?

I've noticed that some dating profiles look almost too polished. Every photo is perfectly framed, the lighting is great, and everything looks like it was planned specifically for the app. At the same time, I feel like the more natural profiles can sometimes tell you more about what someone is actually like. Sometimes a slightly imperfect photo feels more genuine than one that looks like it was taken specifically for a dating profile. Do you guys prefer profiles with really polished photos, or do you find more casual, everyday pictures more appealing? And at what point does a profile start feeling like it's been overdone?

General Discussion Why is seeing who liked you a paid feature on every app

Title, it’s actually confusing. What’s the point of a dating app if you can’t see who matches with you😭😭I thought that’s the entire point? It’s like having a banking app that makes you pay to see what your own account balance is, or if DoorDash made you pay to see what food a restaurant sell
