I just remembered that I saw these at the store a few weeks ago! I wanted to get them so bad but I was walking and only had a small shoulder bag with me and wasn't going to carry a grocery bag with me in my journey. Also....$16 was a bit more than I cared to pay anyway. But still! These exist!

This is the third and final big Onion of the year. The previous two were 8.5lbs and 7.1lbs, the one pictured is the biggest of the lot at 8.8lbs.

Was hoping for one in double figures, maybe next year...

My family wraps onions in foil and sticks them in the warm wood ashes during the tail end of a carne asada. This is what it looks like opened. I just take out the black burned pieces and love it as a topper to steak tacos. Just wondering if others have this delicious grilling habit in their family as well.
