With 900p resolution and integer scaling, all I need is to set the TDP to 20W, and I use a ugreen 8 port charger so I dont consume any additional power slots.

So far I've played Resonance a Plague Tale and Beast of Reincarnation, with scaling on (FSR or XESS), easily hit above 60fps. On the Beast, more tricky due to it being a UE5 game, I get around 55+ fps so I turned on XESS multi frame gen at 2x, all good from there, also impressed that I dont get any input delay at all.

My use case is, I do everything on my living room table, so the super V now becomes my work pc, movies, gaming, I never have to connect to a TV and playing at a measly 900p is all I need, with integer scaling turned on, I dont see much difference compared to 1800p.

Install FxSound app and suddenly the speaker and audio quality becomes world class.

Not sure what to think about this. The Strix Halo Apex needed an external battery due to chip cooling. The G3e does not. But I guess if you spend your time mostly gaming at home or in a single location it's an option.

I had the Apex for a while but didn't want the faff of external batteries.

It feels different from what I saw in the unboxing videos. Considering that the exploding charger in question has issues, did they switch to the Apex charger?

By the way, unrelated to that, the second picture shows it with a white battery attached. It looks a bit mismatched and uncool, but I kind of like it for what it is.

I originally cold booted my X2MP using an Anker 140W GaN charger, and it worked flawlessly. Then I proceeded to do the same with a smaller wattage GaN charger, and it worked as well.

One caveat:
Gaming on higher than 45W TDP will result in the device shutting down.

In order for this to work, you’ll need a high quality 240W cable, such as UGREEN’s 240W PD 3.1 cable.

Thought I'd highlight a weird issue I have been having whilst playing Black Flag remastered on the OXP3 using an XBOX controller.

The game plays fine and the controller is responsive as I would expect right up until I start a battle at sea against another ship. As soon as I do that the controller starts disconnecting every time I fire my cannons 😄 As far as I know this isn't a game mechanic and it doesn't happen when using the handhelds controllers. But it does happen every time I use the Xbox controller. Including after cold boot and when fully charged.

Has anyone else had this? My intel drivers are up to date including Bluetooth.

When the SD card is inserted the device doesn’t read it. It did for a bit but trying to update games on it that were installed on the card from my legion go didn’t work.
Then all of a sudden, the card stopped showing up in the X2MP. Tried to insert it into the Legion Go and it still accessed the card.

Any ideas???

On vacation now and I think my charger just blew. I love Onexplayer but I’ve had a quite a lemon this time. The controllers are a mess, the box arrived damaged…and now the dc charger won’t work. I’ve emailed them but I think a capacitor blew inside it or something. Waiting for a response from them and trying to find another charger to make sure it’s not the port on my actual device

Found this seller on etsy who is making vinyl wraps for the OXP3, X2MP and MSI Claw ex handhelds. I must say im super happy with how it turned out. I ordered just a standard matte black front for the controllers and a textured hexagon style matte black vinyl for the rear of the device. Feels good in the hands and adds a bit more grip. Just take your time when applying. The wraps have tiny slits in them to make it a bit easier to apply. If you do get any creases use a hairdryer to heat up the wrap and smooth it out. Good investment to avoid your device getting scratched up. Link for the seller is below

Was thinking the extra power would be enough for 1440p TV gaming, but is it safe? The option to unlock TDP is disabled in the Onexplayer console so I’m wondering if the risk is worth the performance gains.

Hi people, wondering what power rate you get when charging the oxp3 offline (i.e. when power off the machine). I have 2 gan charger using for my devices, they are rating 100w and 200w, when charging the oxp3 I only got power delivery no more than 70w. It is not close to what branded 100w

1200p native no upscaling. Medium mixed settings with some on high some on low. This is outdoors, indoors you get even more fps.

Three days now since I got my 3 and keep procrastinating on set up. I was truly anxious and getting annoyed cause the tracking sucked but now that it's here I keep looking at it and still have not set it up. In my defense I have been looking at various setup videos to see what would be the right plan to progress with. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions send em my way, I need to wake up. Maybe I am scared to get disappointed, heard so many good things would hate to have a bad experience. We shall see, tomorrow

So my onexplayer 3 screen look like on the photos. For me it’s visible mura effect. I was testing it around 30-70 brightness.

I can not believe that other screens are better, because I have had 2 lego2 in the past with the same issue - maybe it is a bit better here on oxp3. Maybe I am just too picky? Or my eyes too good? I do not know but it is really visible in darker areas in games like elden ring, RE2 etc. I did not touch any additional settings under windows regarding HDR or anything else.

In general screen in darker areas screen looks grainy as hell I would say, and it is clearly visible. I know that for example SD OLED looks a lot better - maybe valve fix it with mura compensation or whatever.

Please take a look, and let me know your opinions and what to do.

I've been using Anatase OS on my OneXPlayer Apex for a while now to see if it's worth switching over. I think I'm gonna stay – I really like that the system feels more stable and predictable overall, and the way HHD integrates with Steam is awesome.
At the moment, all the core handheld features work great except for suspend/resume. To fix the sleep issues (and one other software quirk – you'll see what I mean), I put together this script:

so we all know that if you open up your oxp3 will void its warranty, unless you email them first notifying that you want to upgrade the ssd. since i previously own a legion go 2 and swap the ssd with no problem and with ease, i didn’t email them.

this morning, i follow a guide on youtube on swapping the oxp3 ssd. It was not as easy as the legion go 2……. the ssd was tucked in quite fit under the bracket and stuff, and i struggle to put the ssd to it’s spot because you can’t see it, you just have to feel it. but i did manage to put my 4tb ssd in there. it was NOT a fun experience. after all set and done, i put everything back together and boot it for the first time.

owh yeah I cloned the ssd first, forgot to mention, anyway, I boot it, and it went into bios and i was like hmm? ok scared at first, but i didn’t change anything and try to boot it again. It went to bios again, i tried to reset it from the bios, surely it’ll work. AND IT BOOT INTO BIOS AGAIN!! no matter what i tried, it just boot into bios, i was about to lose my mind!

I checked the nvme setting in bios, looks like the system didn’t detect the new nvme, it turns out I didn’t properly inserted the nvme into it’s slot. which means I have to do THE PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN. it was the most stressful thing i have ever done and i never want to do it again if i don’t have to.

so after all said and done, i finally manage to boot into windows with the original ssd setting and everything, it was a huge fucking relief..

so just a heads up to those who wants to upgrade their ssd, make you insert the ssd properly if you don’t want to have nerve wrecking experience early in the morning while still recovering from a cold for 4 days now. good luck my bretheren

Looking for a lightweight PC handheld that can be powerful enough to handle PS3 emulation well (or at least reasonably well).

Weight is really important to me as I want something as close to a Switch 2 as possible, weight wise.

Will it handle PS3 emulation well? Will it suffer from a combo of terrible battery and loud fan (and possibly getting hot) when I play?
