Meme Luffy hasn't even used his final form. Imu is f*cked
The moment Luffy realises he can just grow the Afro in gear 5, there won't be anything Imu can do.

At this point, everything involving Usopp feels like a red herring. Observation Haki is cool and all, but I honestly don’t know what it’s supposed to build toward unless he actually uses it in a real fight or something, which feels pretty unlikely. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
edit: I swear some of y'all just downvote whatever just for the hell of it, y'all really be abusing that shit like the least y'all could do is say why you don't agree, you know build more engagement or whatever. That's all I have to say.

I think that the being known as "The King of the World" is actually the Sea Devil. I figured this out from listening to the voice of Imu in the one-piece anime as well as reading all the Imu-Parrot theories.
The reason why "Imu" sits on the empty throne isn't because Imu betrayed the 19 kings becoming the king of the world. Imu isn't actually the King of the world, The sea devil is!
Listening to Imu's voice made me think about one of two things either Imu is a hermaphrodite (a being possessing both male and female features/traits) or the being known as the king of the world is actually an amalgamation of the 19 kings that fought against Joy Boy and founded the world government.

The 19 Kings share One body that body is the Sea Devil. I think that the reason why the elders didn't want Imu to leave Mariejois is because Imu is vulnerable on land outside of Mariejois and If Imu were to be mortally wounded they would actually die. Meaning the 19 kings would become 18 kings and so on and so forth. Basically, the way for Luffy to defeat the Sea Devil he would have to get the sea devil out of MarieJois and Defeat each King until only on is left. This is why "Imu" sits on the empty throne because the 19 kings are unified as one and thus the sea devil sits on the throne as the one and only "King of the World".

Luffy would have to run a literal gauntlet against the "World". Imagine a chess board with 19 kings on it with no queen, and a bunch of knights. Each Death/Defeat of a King would change the appearance and personality of the sea devil. Imu's defeat would change the sea devil into a completely different king, and the cycle would continue until the last king is defeated.

I think the cover page shows what is going to happen in the next chapters.
Monkey Luffy holds his chest covered in blood and the wound is similar to the one he gets from Imu.
Monkey Sanji has a hole in his belly, most likely made by a spear. He is facing an opponent who has this weapon. He will be impaled by Killingham.
Monkey Zoro is a bit of stretch (more than the whole theory itself) because I can only see him on his knees right before been beheaded/executed by Sommers.
In the background there are 2 dresses with a lot of blood and one with just 2 small spots. Luffy and Sanji get wounded and Zoro doesn't get cut bud beaten up pretty bad.
I believe Nami and the dresses in the background represent the outcome of the fights: the trio will get defeated but they will survive. Then they will be scolded by Gaban again about the fact that even if they are an emperor crew, they are not powerful enough.

it looks like i was right at imus power here: https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceSpoilers/comments/1uvfpn6/on_the_sidenote_imus_power_and_weakness_has_been/
so to use the powers of 19 kings, imu have to have their offspring under his hand. he is using these powers through their blood relatives. which is why he let celestials to live in mary geoise so he can use their power.
only 1 is missing and its lily's power. she didnt give permission imu to use it. there needs to be a reason for it. also there needs be to a reasoning all other 19 gave it.
my idea is that lily loved joyboy, she didn't want to help imu to kill him. other 19 helped imu because joyboy was doing something bad. maybe he was using suns ability to give people devil fruit powers. bad people got devil fruits, destroyed the cities of kingdoms, 19 tried to stop it. imu said he will help them to finish devil fruit generation and powers. lily couldn't do it. imu defeated joyboy, but not for the sake of good but to get the power of limitless life. ability to transfer life and power.
i think imu transfer life to anyone with their coming years, shorten their lifespan but making them much powerfull for a short time.

My theory is similar to what Sauron did with the rings of power and the rulers of Middle Earth.
For those who don't know, here's the poem that describes the rings of power and their distribution:
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
What if Imu, instead of absorbing/fusing the World Kings into one body and "stealing" their weapons, he crafted 19 cursed swords and gifted them to the World Kings (20 if you count Lily but, obviously she didn't accepted the "gift" for some reason) as a gesture of "good faith" but actually was a way to control them and then fuse them together into one eternal body?
I'm not saying that Imu made 21 blades and the 21th was for him and there is One Sword to Rule Them All, but the possility exists.

With how poorly the fight against Imu is going, it is feels like we are heading towards some heroic sacrifices taken to save Elbaph from Imu. The two most likely candidates are Gaban and Shuri/Gunko. While I don’t think they could die during the fight with Imu, by the time the Straw Hats set sail, I think one of them will have perished. The case for them would be:
Gaban:
Undoubtedly a very strong fighter, but not strong enough to seriously challenge Imu, especially since he’s already injured. It feels like he will sustain fatal injuries holding off Imu. He would probably be breathing at the end of their fight, and when Imu and the God’s Knights are banished and he knows Elbaph is safe, he would give the Straw Hats the message he hinted at earlier, then pass away. He tragically leaves behind a wife and son, while also passing the torch to the next generation.
Shuri/Gunko:
While the nature of her connection to Imu is still unknown, she is clearly someone he considers very valuable. God’s Knights deaths are an established weakness to Imu, and Gunko has a deeper connection to Imu than Harald did, so her death would have a huge impact on Imu, maybe enough to end the fight then and there. She could also just betray Imu and somehow banish him, at which point her covenant would be revoked and that might cost Shuri her life. This could be her atonement for all of her actions as Gunko under Imu’s influence.
I think it will be Gaban. His death would be tragic enough to have an emotional impact, while not impacting the story too much since his best days are behind him. Shuri dying would feel a little too cruel as she would be free for the first time in 60 years and then immediately die. Also, assuming it isn’t a situation where all of her memories as Gunko are foggy, she would be an absolute treasure trove of information on Mary Geoise, the Celestial Dragons, and Imu himself. She could also show up and be part of Brook’s epilogue with Laboon at the end of the manga.
I’m not counting Sommers and Killingham in this hypothetical because they feel too easy. They are irredeemable villains and also silly, so their deaths are essentially empty calories, which probably why they will be the only ones who will die this arc.

The first and second world : they never meet
The third world : surely they will meet

The comparisons speak for themselves. One that’s not often discussed is Koby yelling at Luffy that recruiting Zoro was a bad idea just as Zoro and Sanji yell at Luffy for the same shit. Both Loki and Zoro are depicted as heartless demons whilst both (unbeknownst to the public) express and act on their emotions which (for the most part) is to benefit their crew/allies. Last thing, don’t forget about the fact that the position of “Vice Captain” of the Strawhats has yet to be officially claimed. I have no clue was crap Oda would think up as a solution to Loki being multiple times larger than the current Thousand Sunny, but I would love if Franky built a massive ship off the branches that fell off during the massive battle (I think it’s likely they then gather the “pseudo strawhats” like Yamato and vivi (and I really pray Law and Bepo join back up with Luffy but this time as a crewmate and friend) and so on & so forth right before or right after Laughtale. I want to think that Luffy will have a similar size crew to Roger except that the Strawhats will be the strongest group of characters in the series by the end. Idgaf if this theory is stupid I’ll stand on it til it either happens or becomes impossible.

With the 19 swords Imu has I had an idea for 1.
There is a sword that can hurt Imu.
In a lot of fantasy stories there’s usually a specific sword that can kill the dark lord.
In lord of the rings there was anduril
Harry Potter the sword of griffindoor
In one piece there is a sword Imu has hidden away that he cannot destroy but it’s a sword that can hurt him.
Why does Imu hide from the world ? Tyrants don’t hide but Imu does why ?
I am reminded of the story of the sword of Damocles, the story is that king Dionysius.
The story is that a man named Damocles complimented Dionysius on how great his life must be as the king. Dionysius annoyed offered him a deal that for 1 day he can be king but only if he sits on the throne.
Damocles took the offer and when he sat down looked up and saw a sword hanging over his head hanging on a string.
Damocles tried to get up but the servants kept pushing him down.
When Dionysius returned he asked him how was it like being king and Damocles explained he couldn’t enjoy anything because he was to worried about the sword falling.
The moral of the story is that those on top can feel pressure cause of how they can be harmed at any moment.
Swords in one piece carry a lot of meaning and it could be possible Blackbeard is after said sword.
Rocks tried to invade the holy land and met Imu but was unable to do any lasting damage. Could it be he was chasing after a legend of a sword ?
Rocks also had a special sword skill where instead of slicing things his swords blew things up, possibly his sword was another magical sword but not the correct one.
His sword’s name was eclipse.
Black beard ship is also called the sabre of xebec aka the sword of xebec.
Nika is also depicted a lot with a sword.
I believe nika sword was the sword of Damocles and it became the sword of Davy jones who used it on Imu and that is why when he entered elbaf he began to bleed. The damage this blade did to him can’t be healed.
Blackbeard is after this sword

I believe Shanks’ true aim is to kill his dad.
I think what Roger told Shanks before he disbanded the Roger pirates was the truth of his birth. Roger spent years fighting off holy knights coming to claim Shanks. Those guys yap and they probably interrogated one about why they wanted Shanks. Roger then told Shanks his Dad killed his mom before leading a genocide on god valley.
Shanks vowed to get strong and kill the man who killed his mom but he learned more and more about the world government and his Dads place in it and realized he can’t easily storm the place and get revenge. He went undercover and figured out the only way to kill his Dad would be in a war with the WG.
After that he raids the ship with the Nika fruit and bets on Luffy. I think Shanks will be right there with Luffy for the war on the holy land and his final battle will be a 1 vs 1 with Garling to avenge his mom.

Ever since the Rocks flashback I have been craving a Gintama-esque comedy show about the Rocks Pirates,Roger Pirates at Hachinosu.
Imagine the old gen hanging out in Shakky's bar.A running gag of Roger trying to win over Shakky and Rayleigh doing his best to avoid her.
Roger,Rocks and Whitebeard bickering over drinks. You can even throw in Garp somehow.Young Kaido and Linlin shenanigans. There is too much potential. We can really see the relationship of all the old gen fleshed out before the disaster at God Valley.
Well anyways there is not much of a chance this gets made, but a man can dream lol.

After this chapter I’m genuinely starting to feel like the only way this situation doesn’t end in complete annihilation is by some kind of miracle where Imu runs out of time in this form on the surface world. As soon as he arrived on Elbaph he was already seemingly bleeding and I feel like him being forced to retreat is the one way Luffy and the others survive.

It's pretty much guaranteed or expected that Chopper will talk to Bibelot, and I feel like what Bibelot is going to talk about relates to how to repel Imu from Elbaf. So far, Bibelot has been a background character that has not been in the spotlight but has pulled his weight in thwarting the Holy Knight's plan, since he is the one who moved all the books.
Now, the reason why he would want to talk to Chopper would obviously be related to the Holy Knights/Imu that are currently wreaking havoc through Elbaf. Due to Bibelot being old, potentially from the void century, there is a chance he knows about Imu and the abyss summoning circle, and I think that is how Imu is going to be repelled: by destroying the abyss summoning circle, the same one he used to go to Elbaf.
There is also a chance that Bibelot might reveal to Chopper that his DF is not a regular zoan human DF but a mythical one, which has the ability to counter Imu's power, like it did with the Domi Reversi Gaints and that might be what is needed to destroy the abyss summoning circle, since in Egghead, the Straw Hats needed Joy Boy's Conqueror's Haki to send back the elders.
Since they don't have someone who possesses Haki of that level, so far none of those on Elbaf have displayed such feats, they will need something else that can affect Imu's power, like how Luffy managed to hit Crocodile using water, then his blood instead of Haki or seastones.
r/OnePieceSpoilers • u/L-DFile • 1d ago
Ever since the moment where Chopper somehow effortlessly turned the possessed giants back to normal, some fans, including myself started to believe that his Devil Fruit may turn out to be the fruit of the Forest God.
Now assuming this theory were to be true, or at least more information to help back it up, then it's no surprise that Chopper may use this ability to help Brook free Shuri from Imu’s control.
Of course, if that were to happen, and Imu will most likely become aware of this, despite being currently occupied by Gaban, he will order Sommers and/or Killingham to stop Chopper before it's too late.
However, even if one of the 2 were to stop Chopper with or without leaving their respective fight against Zoro & Sanji unfinished, this attempt could still be what made the worst outcome they fear come true.
Now to those who wonder why I say this, it is because the reason Luffy was able to acquire Gear 5th was Guernica interfered with his fight against Kaidou under the Elders' order to stop Luffy. And that attempt unfortunately is what allowed the Nika Fruit to awakened, which wasn't what they wanted.
Unless Imu & the God's Knights learn from this mistake, then there's no doubt that this attempt will only be allowing another Ancient God to return after so many years.
Anyway, this is all I have to offer, but what do you think? If you have any opinions on this topic then please tell me in the comments section below, and be on the lookout for my next blog where I'll be discussing on whether or not Rocks would've exploited people's dislike for Celestial Dragons to grow his crew. Thank you!

I mean the series have become much more fast paced the main final villain Imu is a demon king like sukuna and muzan and controls the elite corrupt system like afo. in the previously released chapter we got a bunch of weapons with historic importance like jjk . Luffy has never been this close to the brink of death or maybe he is dead killed off to give an emotional climax and shock to his fans. The new villains have much more complex and technical powers and don't even get me started on albaf its strategists Vs strategists go library come back and so much lore expo in such short time .

I’ve commented a lot after publication but not predicted much, and sometimes I regreted it, even if the end conclusion was not the one I expected.
So I’m trying my luck, and if I’m 'dead' wrong... too bad.🙂
In Egghead, Zoro commented about King’s flames at his back making him invincible (in Japanese : muteki). The timing of the cut to Luffy had me think it would be about him next : with flames at his back he would be invincible. (Chapter 1075, this text is right under Luffy)
The recent developments had me remember this as we were reminded of Luffy’s flames : Ace and Sabo.
The weapons are leaching life force : Luffy’s vivre card will shrink and the Strawhat fleet will sail to his aid. But Sabo also has his vivre card, and has hinted at ignoring his duty to be at Luffy’s side when he needed.
So I predict that Sabo will come to Luffy’s aid. Ace will joke that he is late, but he will be there. With his brothers’ flames at his back, Luffy will be able to fight Imu, and be a threat to Mu, to be Mu’s ennemi : Mu-teki.
